| Pros | My skins is in really nice and fairly wrinkle free for someone 62. It could possibly be from the different treatments I had done, ie photo rejuv (did remove most brown spot, yag, and 2 fraxel treatments. But my skin was nice to begin with. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Yag a waste of money. Fraxel disappointed in results with fine lines around eyes and mouth. Recovery longer and more painful than advertised |
| Bottom line | It seems to make more sense to do one tratment with a heavy duty laser like the co2and do one recovery than 5 treatments and 5 recoveries. |

| Pros | Really works; I tried Coolaser after having done everything ( including other lasers) Coolaser really really worked...I have no more scars. I do not get acne anymore either. |
|---|---|
| Cons | it is a bit pricy but well worth it. |
| Bottom line | DO not do any other treatment...trust me I have paid over 20, 000 dollars over the years and got NO result,...Until I tried coolaser I know it sounds like an infomercial but I want to scream this from the top of the world to everyone. Just do it , and get rid of the acne and the acne scars for life while you are young...here is their website: [link removed] |

| Pros | Maybe the realisation that I'll never have flawless skin and I'll have to live with myself just the way I am. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Same as Above. Pinkish outline where I had fraxel. Maybe the lines on the outside of my eyes have improved. Not sure/hard to say. I think I'd be happy if the redness goes. |
| Bottom line | It's only been a month or so after my first fraxel so maybe the redness will disappear and I'll return to normal again some day soon:) If that happens I'll probably come back and post another review (a more positive one). Until that day I'm not that impressed with Fraxel II. |

| Pros | I had 5 Fraxel treatments, and truthfully, as I sit here, I cannot think of one pro. It did not help my scars or pores at all. |
|---|---|
| Cons | I have deep acne scars, pitted, ice pick, my acne tunnelled so my scars are long and deep. The physician told me I would see some improvement, but I have seen nothing and actually my skin seems loose, with more wrinkles. Very expensive. |
| Bottom line | I personally don't recommend Fraxel. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of resutls. What a waste of time and money. My physician told me I would see some type of improvement, but I have seen none and its been over 6 months. I knew going in that my scars were not going to disappear, but I thought they would at least appear softer/smoother. Not at all, still the same. Very frustrating. Now I am a bit concerned about the texture of my skin, I have more wrinkles and loose skin especially around my eyes and mouth. I am 32 years old, this should not be happening. |

| Pros | The pain is tolerable, the cost for spot treatments were alot less expensive than doing the whole face |
|---|---|
| Cons | Your face is red & swollen so you think it is going to work. Then a week into it you notice the scars are coming back.... |
| Bottom line | I am tired of being SOLD on products because the doctors know how badly you want results.I have had 6 Fraxel treatments done. The first series was one a week for 4 weeks. I saw a slight (10%) improvement in my scars after 6 months. After a year I went back to the same doctor & had 2 more. No additional results at all from those additional 2 treament. I would stay away from the Fraxel treatment for acne scars it just doesn't help. Then I tried the Fractional Lux 1520 which is a more aggressive laser (they claim), it's more expensive but less painfull. Still recovery time is 3-4 days of redness. I has 2 treatments out of 4, every 3 weeks. I did have alittle improvement on 1 large scar I had but that was it so I quit going. The bottom line is we all wish we could find a doctor who actually understood what we are going through. It's about the money. I am going to start asking if they will guarentee the procedure. If they believe in the procudure & the results they will do it. |

| Pros | I was only down one night.(I'm an esthetician) Left the house next day pink. I Used fraxel. Dr. said it took 4-6 wks to show difference. Said I would need at least 3. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Need at least 3 treatments for small scars to fade out. A little pricey, but worth it. |
| Bottom line | I saw a noticeable difference in both light acne scars and fine lines after just one session.I noticed some delicacy in the skin for a few weeks afterwards.(i.e. don't pinch skin or blood vessels will break!)Getting next treatment in 2 weeks. MY DR. IS EXCELLENT, HE SAID FULL FACE ($5,000)CO2 LASER MAKES ACNE SCARRING LOOK WORSE! He said this because he's done it & it tightened all the skin area around the scars & the scars appeared to look worse. He said fractional lasers (fraxel)are on a lower setting (but still co2)& it is more progressive so it doesn't destroy (yes, destroy!)the epidermis(1st layer) of the skin like traditional co2 did. (by keeping some skin in-tact) Also, fraxel can be used on the neck and the old co2 CAN NOT! That's why some women have permanent darker necks and light faces. I also had the erbium($575).This shows a difference immediately but it's TEMPORARY only.Fractional laser co2 is permanent. If you spent $500 you got about the same as some microdermabrasions! |

|---|---|
| Cons | Fraxel made my skin far worse. I now have scars on my cheeks where they were once smooth but sun pigmented. My skin looks terrible and ruined. It is depressing. |
| Bottom line | Fraxel can damage your skin as it did mine. I went in hoping to refresh and improve my sun pigmentation and instead left with pitted uneven skin. This has been a nightmare and I wish there was more honesty around the side effects. |

| Pros | No noticeable gains, definately not worth the cost. Scars are at the smile lines on the cheeks. Deep scarring from childhood acne. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Long downtime, redness, swollen face for a week. |
| Bottom line | Was done (3) years ago. A lot of hoopla, a lot of money, and definately not worth it. Don't make your dematologist rich using this. The lasers are a scam. Consumer protection agency should look into this false advertising. |
