Pros: It moisturizies really well, and evens out skin texture without being too oily. I have discoloration because of irritation and this really evened out tone throughout my face but... Cons: It broke me out. It says that it doesnt clog pores, but Im pretty sure that within a week I started breaking out more so than i already do because of it. Pros: does not irritate at all dont have to use a lot of it because it goes on great Cons: doesnt take care of the flakes well Bottom Line: i just used it this morning and it is so light and goes on so easily. It doesn't leave my face shiny at all just one thing about it is that this lotion doesnt take care of the flakes all that well so... i think ill be using this for awhile to see better results Recommended: Yes Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a day or two. Pros: Supposed to minimize flakes, but I still had dry skin Cons: Burned like a son-of-a.. Made my face beet red as well. Bottom Line: It works for some people, but didn't work for me. Pros: I use this stuff to manage my really dry yet oily combo skin on my face. It works really well, and I don't have to worry about it wearing off. Cons: It stings after application, and also predisposes your skin to sun damage. Bottom Line: Great moisturizer, be sure to wear sunscreen during the day while using this lotion. Beware of applying this lotion to sunburnt skin! OUCH! So far, I've found that LacHydrin does not clog pores, though it may feel lightly greasy on the skin. Any burning sensation felt upon application should subside within 1-2 minutes, then your skin will feel great. Recommended: Yes Usage: Cat has used this item for about a year. Pros: greatly improved skin texture; skin a whole lot softer; doesn't irritate skin; helped with discoloration Cons: none Bottom Line: So far, this moisturizer has improved my skin so much. I can't recommend it enough. I don't use too much and it works like a charm. My skin has always been extremely sensitive and I love this stuff. Pros: Oil-free, non-comedogenic, has lactic acid, fragrance free, large bottle, won't aggravate acne-prone skin. Cons: Turns skin a bit pink/red sometimes. Would probably be too strong for people with very sensitive skin. Bottom Line: I really like Lac-Hydrin Five. If your skin does well with AHA's or you just want a mild exfoliating moisturizer, this is a good one. A little tip about using this, wash your hands first and while they are still a bit wet squirt a few pea-sized blobs of LHF into your palm and rub your hands together, then apply to the face. This thins it out a bit and it goes on well. I use this moisturizer with Dan's regimen and it works very well. Recommended: Yes Usage: Brandy has used this item for a few months. Pros: moisturizes your face like it says it does, Doesn't leave skin oily (I have an oily T-zone and it doesn't leave it shiny), Nice consistancy so it's easy to apply, 8 oz bottle lasts a couple of months Cons: When used with the regimen it really does make your face burn and turn red.I've been using it for two months and i still get this effect. Bottom Line: I think by itself, this would a great lotion. However, if you plan on doing the regimen this will make sting. With Benzoyl Peroxide your face becomes more sensitive and using a lotion like this, just makes it even more sensitive, making it turn red and burn. Pros: None Cons: It felt like my face was on fire and my skin turned red. Then after a week my skin turned mask-like and started cracking and peeling. As in people asked what was wrong with me. Bottom Line: I used it for over a month thinking that my face just had to get used to it but that wasn't the case. It just got worse. And then I broke out because it irritated my skin so much. Pros: Amazing ability to soften skin, non-comodenic, AHA, great price. I also slather it on my heels, knees and elbows! Carried at Costco. Cons: Feels too greasy to use during the day here in South Florida. Therefore, I use it before bed just after applying my BP 2.5% solution. No sun protection. Bottom Line: As long as you can find a good day moisterizer with sun protection, this is great for bedtime. For day, I've been using Eucerin Q10 Day with 15 SFP.
