hey guys, if i can give u some advice, its to take accutane. I never had real bad acne, but went on accutane, and it worked wonders. My face cleared up after a 7 month treatment, and still is clear. Please dont think its bad cuz its not. All 99 percent of the ppl on it get is dry lips and its worth it.. Everything changes after u take it your accutane dissapears, which is inversley related to your confidence going up. Highly recommedned.

To anyone who is thinking about taking ACCutane Dontt!!! Because its expensive and scars the face alot.. I took accutane for bout 1 1/2 year and it gave me massive lumpy scars which look like pimple and cannont be pop. Also leave crater like scars. There is something better you can take its called ALPHA LIPOIC ACID Cost about $25 for 120 capsole of 200mg. Ask your doctor/physician about what dosage you should start taking. The recommended dosage is 150 mg, this is an Anti-oxidant so there is no side effects. In order for this Anti-oxidant to fully work is for you to take additional Vitamins such as C,B, B12 and B15, E. These are also anti-oxidant which aid each other in repairing your cells in the celliar level. The Alpha Lipoic Acid actually help prevent and cure acne, it is cheap and very good. Make sure you get the R form as research say your body obsorb it easier. But dont be hasty take your time and increase dosage slowly. I have taking this for bout 1 month now and i see very good results i cant wait untill i reach 300mg. It really prevents acne and cure it my god if i knew about this earlier i woulda not wasted my money on ACCuTAne and be left with a bunch of scars. And how i came to know about this great Anti-oxidant well i was working at my family Bagel/cafe shop and 1 of the customer which experience alot of acne had used it and recommended it to me. So here i am tellin you all. The world is dark but we still must stand and push forward cause if we give in to the darkness we become something/someone else. Never Give Up! ^_~

Acutane worked absolutely amazing for me. While on the pills I experienced extreme dryness but afterwards I was fine. I did not experience any depression or all the other bad things they have claimed from this drug. It's too bad they are taking it off the market.

ACUTANE SUCKS! Now I'm not gonna lie, I did have bad acne before using acutane, but the after effects....DONT GET ME STARTED! It not only dried my skin out soo bad that I had actual SLITS on my lips and nose areas, but what really got me P.O'd was the fact that I had minor liver damage because of some chemical in the product! Bottom line, if you want depression, liver damage, dry skin, go ahead and use this crap. If you want a cure for acne, GO TO A DERMETOLOGIST!

Accutane worked really good on me. I liked how it took away the pimples, and then I never got them until just recently, which means I went 5 months without pimples. So i am going on Accutane! I think it is really well priced, and I just recommend it to all people in need.

First off my insurance nearly paid for the whole prescription, a $10 copay was it! All my friends that have had acne in the past told me that they went on accutane. This is definitely a miracle drug. Other than chapped lips, and mild depression(which anyone can handle), I noticed no major side effects.

Guys please stop using the rating system as a posting section when you haven't used the drug, it's a rating system and your posts do impact.

I like many other acne sufferers have tried all the antis and cream all with no real results. I have severe acne with cysts that appear on my neck and back. I also have hep C and my derm was reluctent to put me on Accutane. However, after all her treatments proved to be nothing more than snake oil she decided to send me to a major hospital with specialists. I saw the doctor today and he said I should have been on Accutane years ago. He prescribed me 40mg a day. I have heard nothing but great things about this medication and I am looking forward to hopefully telling my great no more acne story too. What is hard is my acne will come and go, so I know how gr8 I feel when I am clean. Yet, I also know that turtle in the shell like feeling when I come under attack. I will keep everyone posted as to how Accutane works and if I get any of the side effects.

Hi there,

I have been suffering from acne since I was 14 years old. By the time I was 19 years- each pore on my face looked really inflamed. Funny thing was that I had no acne on my back, but I had acne on my arms and chest.

Like many people, I have tried everything on the shelf: clean 'n' clear, Dalacin T, Nutrimetics, Elizabeth Arden etc etc the lists goes on....

I even went to my GP and asked for some treatments. He prescribed me Mino-cycline tabs which didnt work at all.
Finally, I went to see a dermatologist and he prescribed me Roaccutane when I was 19years old.

The product worked well. However, everytime I finish my course- with a month or two my skin starts to get oily again and then gradually I can see the acne reappearing starting from my forehead, nose, chin then attacks my cheeks.

I am 25 years old and I find myself that I have been on the product on/off for the last 6 years. It upsets me to think that I have been on it for so long and only works for me while I am on it. I hope its not addictive!!

Dont think its safe for females who are in a relationship or are plannign to have kids. I guess its just one of those things that u come to measure whether its worth taking it all your life or not.

For all the people out there that have taken this product but acne is not cured permanently- I feel for you. I know exactly how you feel! I was the most insecure person because of my acne and finally come to learn that there are some things in life you just cannot have- for me its clear skin :(

Takecare and Good Luck.

Peace

The best thing that ever happened to me, I had bad acne from 15-19 and tried a lot of things to get rid of it but nothing really worked. Then I got Accutane (Roaccutan) and sure it got worse the first weeks but then after that the acne started to dissapear. I finished stopped taking it almost two years ago and people don't believe me when I say I had bad acne. It worked wonders for me. Sure I get small zits sometimes but that's nothing. The only side effects I had was dry skin and really dry lips, I felt a little depressed but my ex had just dumped me and I think the Accutane might have increased the pain there. Overall it's something I would recommend to anyone with acne. My life has really changed and my confidence has boosted incredibly, people say I've beautiful skin and I certainly get more looks from girls today!
