I must say that this is the best acne medication out there period. It completely cured my cystic acne after a 2 months course. Try it. Your life will be better.

I was on the treatment for a little over 2 months and I had to stop. My skin kept getting worse and worse: more breakouts plus my skin was very irritated and dry. And there are a lot of other side effects, it made me sleepy, unconcentrated, depressed....it seriously sucked for me. I guess for some people it works very well, so it may be worth a shot, but don't expect to cure you for sure because it might make things a heck of a lot worse as in my case.

Its been 5 months since I ended my treatment. I still get some pimples, but they are very small and disappears after a day or two. Its nothing like it was before the treatment...

Incredible dryness, that's nothing, BAD depression and lots of difficulty concentrating. My sleep is terrible. I get hot flushes. Oh, and my acne is worse, not better. I don't believe the stuff about the pain of worsening acne being worth this drug's purported miracle benefits out at 6 months. It's expensive for those of us without insurance coverage for this drug, and oh, did I mention the blood tests and that cost?
My health is not seen on my skin. I hate the years of acne, but I like myself better than this drug is making me feel... I'm stopping it, and now I have to take antidepressants to treat the really BAD feelings...

Tried everything - resorcinol, benzoyl peroxide, salycylic acid, minocycline, erythromycin, retin-a - and nothing really worked. Finally I was put on 40mg/day fro 3 months. I broke out intermittently throughout (which is apparently normal), but one week after I was done my skin was totally clear for the first time in years! Unfortunatly, it started to worsen over the next three months, and my dermo put me back on it for another 2 months at 40mg/day again. Since I finished 2 months ago my skin has been basically perfect. Let's hope it lasts, but this stuff is amazing. Don't waste your time with the other stuff, this really "cures" acne better than anything out there. I just wish I'd started it sooner instead of going through all that other medicine that didn't really work! Just be aware: It does dry your skin out A LOT. But that's the point!

Well... as you can see I just gave it 1/5... I was on 40 mg/day for 7 months. It has been 12 days since I finished treatment and I have an enormous red cyst on my nose and a whitehead on my jawline. TWELVE DAYS!!!!!!!!! Ya, Accutane was amazing while I was on it but I am definitely no longer impressed. My derm just called in another month for me to my pharmacy... which I am sure will clear me up for that month... and maybe another 12 days... I am VERY unimpressed right now.

The best product. It just takes from 1-5 months before results.
