| Pros | Worked, easy to apply, doesn't smell |
|---|---|
| Cons | BURRRNS! for a min. or two |
| Bottom line | I just took a Q-tip applied on the pimple directly, let it fizz (cleaning itself), then do it again 10min later |

| Pros | It cleans, calms (when dry) and clears skin. Used for 1 week after 8 weeks of Trentoin, which has powerful, disagreeable side-effects. I'll continue with hydrogen peroxide (mouth wash grade) for another month to see if it keeps on working. |

| Pros | cheap, effective, safe for topical usage during pregnancy |
|---|---|
| Cons | none that I have ascertained thus far, but I have read that like benzoyl peroxide, H. peroxide can cause premature aging of the skin due to free radical production. As such, I have determine to use it as a spot therapy only for as long as needed |
| Bottom line | My skin has been erupting terribly since the onset of my pregnancy, probably due to hormonal changes. I have tried tea tree oil (soap and pure) applied topically, only to find that it increased the severity of my breakouts. Hydrogen peroxide applied straight to infected areas of my face has worked wonderfully. My acne is actually clearing up. |

| Pros | The price! Very good at cleaning infected spots. It fizzes which makes you feel like you are doing some kind of mad experiment on your face |
|---|---|
| Cons | BURNS with picked over zits or if the skin has just been broken. Dries up 'weeping' very quickly. Dead skin or a scab will turn bright white, so- not so great if you have a bad habit of picking, as I do. |
| Bottom line | I have used Hydrogen Peroxide as a mouthwash before( for that be SURE to follow directions ) and, knowing it was an antiseptic, I have used it on cuts - so I knew to expect it to sting fairly badly. But i seriously never thought to use it for acne - I am glad that I did! It's been an hour since I used it, and the swelling and redness has already diminished a lot. |

| Pros | Very inexpensive. Works. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Bleaches skin around pimple a little but is back to normal by the morning. |
| Bottom line | After washing my face a use a Q-Tip to hold the peroxide on my pimples for about 15-30 seconds each and they are dramatically reduced in size and seem to go away faster. |

| Pros | Gets rid of zits quickly(whether popped or emerging) and any swell goes away quickly |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings on open flesh but that's to be expected |
| Bottom line | It seems to be working greatly as long as you don't go back and bug a zit constantly while its healing. My face has cleared up and I do not see any emerging zits. I apply directly but my skin seems to not react harshly to it(probably because there are oils on my skin since I never use any kind of soap on my face, yep hydrogen peroxide is all that I am using, and only about once a day with a q-tip). |

| Pros | Works. I use this as a toner. First I Cleanse, then use this, then use Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5. Then moisturize then I use Mario Badescu's Special Healing Powder. At night I Cleanse, tone, then use differin, then powder. (no moisturizer needed). |

| Pros | It fizzles away germs of the face! It works routines as well as on the spot! Does not smell! And stings only on a popped zit! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Bleaches the tips of hair if not careful, and eyebrows (just a little though). It's worth it though. |
| Bottom line | I apply it with a cotton pad after washing my face with Neoceutical Antibacterial Face Wash. Do not apply H202 straight on face: mix the peroxide with an equal amount of water. And when using it as a spot-treatment, put straight H202 on a pad/tissue and keep on spot for 15min. The spot will turn white, and rapidly disappear. But do not put H202 straight on daily (unless mixed with equal amount of water) for it is plainly too strong on your face. Its cheap and SO EASY to put into your routine! And if it works for you its so worth it! Takes about 2 weeks. |

| Pros | Clears away all bacteria and germs from the pore (after popping and clearing the puss) so the pimple won't have a chance to come back |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings like crazy on popped pimples (open flesh)! |
| Bottom line | Just make sure you get all the gunk and oozies out of the pimple first, then apply the hydrogen peroxide to the open pimple with a q-tip. It will probably sting and fizz up at first, but soon goes away. The fizzier it is, the more germs it is killing! Afterwards the pimple quickly flattens out and goes away, plus no scarring or hyperpigmentation!! Wahoo! |
