Pros -Clears up skin
-Nice smelling
-Makes skin soft
Cons -Sticky
-Messy
Bottom line I use this almost everyday and it has really cleared up my skin and made it super soft.

At first I was using processed 'honey' and it ended up drying out my skin and not clearing up much of anything. Then I started using natural honey which comes straight out of the beehive and immediatly I started seeing results. I would highly recommend this.

Pros works?
Cons doesn't work as well as i'd hoped
Bottom line I used regular organic grocery store honey once or twice a day for about a week. In that time, it managed to clear up some stubborn under the skin bumps on my cheek and made my skin glow. then I switched to manuka honey which is about three times as expensive and honestly did not do as much as the grocery store honey did. Also, I left it on overnight once and it seemed to clog my pores and erase the good that the regular honey did...so i'm starting today with the regular honey and will give an update in a week. overall, if nothing else it is a very good hydrating mask for sensitive dry skin.

Pros -by far THE BEST spot treatment I have ever come across
-cheap
-you can just lick it off when it drips down your face :)
Cons -sticky, messy
-sucks to sleep in if you sleep on your side, gets all over your pillow..but I do it anyways, it's worth it!
Bottom line **For this post, I am referring to the honey as a spot treatment, not as a whole face mask.**
I have tried pretty much EVERY spot treatment there is out there. Nothing comes close to how good this natural remedy is!!
I found it works best on pimples that were "just popped" Every single time I have popped a pimple and put this on overnight, when I wake up in the morning it is at least 75% reduced in size.
Has only worked a couple times for PREVENTING pimples, but if you catch one early enough and apply this consistently every night, it should stop it from coming to a head.
**Make sure to get PURE, UNFILTERED, RAW honey, for best results. I have also heard Makuna honey works well also.
***DO NOT microwave it!! Microwaving or heating any food up will decrease it's natural nutrients by at least 50% (learned this in nutrition class) same reason why eating raw vegetables is better and healthier than eating cooked veggies. For best results, don't heat it up! Usually your body temperature will melt it on contact with your skin.
Some people don't like the fact that it drips, so they will put a piece of tissue paper over it. I have found that every time i've done this it's not as effective. It's almost as if the blemish "drinks up" the honey, because everytime i've put some tissue over it, in the morning the tissue is "sucked" into my pimple. therefore when I take the tissue off, it starts to bleed! not good :/ I just leave it alone and let it drip!
Hope this helps...has worked for me :)

Pros It smells delicious, I see immediate results, it reduces my spots, it is easy to apply, edible, makes my skin feel beautiful, makes my skin glow and smooth, its something I will use much more in future, reduces redness of the pimple/s, easy to find and buy, can be mixed with other benefiting ingredients for the skin
Cons can get messy when applying & so far i haven't seen any blackheads lift yet from my nose but we'll see when I try mixing sugar in the honey to make a honey scrub.
Bottom line I did extensive research into the benefits for the skin using honey for pimples and I'am very grateful to come across this remedy. I make my own honey mask and buy the PURE honey. I drink plenty of green tea and mix the contents of the left over green tea bag into the honey too. Since I don't have a microwave , I add some hot water or left over green tea into the mixture to make it thinner and if I have it, a little bit of lemon juice. I mix it and apply to all over my face. I use to suffer from severe acne as of 13 years old and I am now 17 and my acne has definitely toned down but I still get single pimples over my forehead and chin and blackheads all over my nose. Ive found this is helping so far together with my normal skin care routine and my skin just glows! I leave the mask on for around 30 minutes then simply rinse off and pat dry. Give it a go! I'm finding its benefiting me a lot so far. I just cant wait to see if it helps reduce my bad scarring on my forehead. xxx

Pros has cleared up acne
made skin soft
acne scars are disappering
Cons none
Bottom line Ok so i started getting acne after I had kids. It wasent that bad till I got my tubes tied. So I've been trying everything to make it go away. Finally I got put on yaz and I bought some honey. So far my face looks great, I even went so far to have to chemical peels and they just made it worse. My morning regimen is I get in the shower and put the honey on for ten min. Then I put on my microdelivery exfoliating wash (which is awsome to but expensive). At last my moisturizer that i bought at the dermatologist office. At night all I use is my olay sensitive face wash and my moisturizer.I dont scrub or rub any of it on my skin cause it acually just irritates it. I just let it sit on there till I'm ready to wash it off. My honey wasnt that expensive I acually bought it at walmart. I just made sure It was pure honey.

Pros promotes healing of acne wounds/scars
kills bacteria
soothing
softens skin
Cons messy
Bottom line There are several types of honey on the market. For the purposes of a facial mask for the benefit of reducing acne, please purchase sterilized honey (usually sterilized via gamma radiation, which does not reduce enzyme levels in the honey like pasteurization does). FYI, sterilized honey is FDA approved to be sold as medical devices in the US. If you cannot find organic sterilized honey, I would next recommend organic raw honey (which still has full enzyme activity for killing fungus and bacteria). I would not recommend the cheap regular, pasteurized honey that most grocery stores sell. All useful enzymes and healing properties are gone at that point, and usually preservatives and/or additives have been added. If you use regular pasteurized honey, it will not have any benefit in the fight against acne.

Also, when making a mask do not heat the honey in the microwave. This will reduce beneficial enzyme activity in the honey.

I usually apply a honey mask 3-4 times a week at night, for 20-40 minutes.

Good luck all. I hope this helps.

Pros Seems to be clearing up my acne and lightening scars.
Cons Sticky of course!
Bottom line Seems to be clearing up my acne. This is what I have been doing: I have been using raw Glory Bee honey (northwest blueberry to be exact). I apply the honey morning and night (face and neck) and leave it on for 15 minutes each time. I then wash my face with Desert Essence face wash. For a moisturizer, I use a very small amount of "light" olive oil (will not clog pores). Definately put olive oil on face before bed after honey and cleaning regimin. Olive oil is healing as well!
