| Pros | helps get rid of acne, smoother skin, feels better then store bought products |
|---|---|
| Cons | sticky |
| Bottom line | use MANUKA HONEY, a special kind of honey, it is expensive but works a lot better than other honey. Use a very small amount on the acne spot, a mask is not as affective. I also take a fish oil 3 times a day and drink apple cider vinegar 2 times a day. Also if u can avoid the pool, I'm a swimmer and after practice my skin always feels really dry, if you go to the pool, shower right after and apply a little honey and lightly rub it on. If done correctly the skin should absorb the honey and you can't see the honey so you can go out with it on. |

| Pros | soften skin, gets rid of pimples, feels and tastes yummy, glowing complexion |
|---|---|
| Cons | drips and messes |
| Bottom line | this stuff is amazing. you could: cover zit with honey apply a bandaid and go to bed use it as a scrub, just add brown sugar (tastes really good) or as a mask by adding cinnamon or nutmeg or both. (doesnt really taste that great with this recipe but works wonderfully) i had a really bad break out and they were slowly disappearing but i had 3 big uglies on one side of my face. i used the honey/nutmeg combination (warmed it up a lil, like 30sec in the microwave) and left it on my face for a couple of hours after work. by morning all three had literally disappeared. honestly the best acne remedy out there. for almost two years i havnt bought any store product for acne. i use home remedies. totally worth it and much cheaper. |

| Pros | I use manuka honey; I read about it in a magazine and checked it out online and I think it works great. It costs a little more than regular store-bought honey but think it's worth it. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Gets kinda runny on the skin during the summertime because of the heat, but I deal with it just fine :) |
| Bottom line | TRY IT!!! |

| Pros | Great natural antibacterial remedy for acne. It brightens the complexion, leaves skin soft and radiant. |
|---|---|
| Cons | None, once you know what kind of honey to use! |
| Bottom line | One suggestion to avoid the mess from honey: try the honey that comes in a jar. It's thicker than the bottled, squeezable one. I find that this honey stays on my face and doesn't run or drip. Great mask with honey: mix honey with some salt, cinnamon and lime/lemon juice (just a little, otherwise it will be too runny). The salt will act as an exfoliator which will scrub away all the impurities and dead skin cells. Cinnamon is antibacterial. And the acid from lime or lemon juice will brighten the dark spots and acne spots, and will even out your skin tone. I scrub my face with this mixture about once a week, massaging the face with circular motions, and when I'm done, I leave it on for about 30 minutes and use it as a mask. I hope this helps guys! I had really bad acne, and this method really cleaned up my face. Not only is it natural, but it also removes the dead layer of your skin, unclogging your pores and revealing the new skin. |

| Pros | Appears to firm skin, minimizes pores, skin is glowy and fresh looking. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Drips off of your face onto your clothes, but tastes good. |
| Bottom line | Messy! The honey drips off of your face onto your clothes. Tastes delicious though. Mmmm, and it's fun too. The only thing I did was warm up some honey and smear it on my freshly cleansed skin, left it on for about an hour and then rinsed it off with warm water first, and then splashed cold water in my face a couple times to finish. I loved the way my skin looked afterwards. I was like "whoaaa, this actually worked?" How cool is that? And how cheap and natural!! I'm about to say f**k the comsmetic skin care companies altogether. Except for Sunscreen. Everything you need you can practically do at home and for way cheaper! |
