| Pros | Leaves skin moisturised Very gentle for dry skin Natural, no toxic chemicals Brightens skin Fades hyperpigmentation Reduces papules Brings active spots to a head quickly Incredibly effective at making popped spots and scabs heal fast Completely prevents newly popped spots scabbing over |
|---|---|
| Cons | Very sticky and messy |
| Bottom line | I have a hard time finding acne treatments because I have very dry skin, and all the chemical treatments I tried (including Clean&Clear and metronidazole) just dried it out further and made my skin horribly flaky and dull. Because of this I switched to a 100% natural skincare regime using raw honey every day as a mask for an hour or two in the evenings, and my skin has improved /so/ much. The honey has completely cleared up the patches of flaky skin and leaves it soft and glowing, which is the main benefit I've found. As far as the acne goes, it works, but not spectacularly. It isn't a miracle treatment and it won't make spots vanish before your eyes, but it will help bring down those tiny little acne bumps and bring any deeper spots you have to the surface. What really surprises me is that it seems to be an amazing healer! On occasions when I've been stupid and tried to pop spots that don't want to come out, creating abrasions that would normally leave a big scab on my face for a week or so... putting honey on it immediately makes it heal up literally overnight. It nearly always prevents scabbing altogether, just leaving a clean pink mark that's easy to hide with a dab of concealer. And it will hugely speed up the healing process for ones that have already scabbed over, too. |

| Pros | -Leaves skin soft and SO moisturized -Lightens acne scars! -Taste good!(: -Tones skin -Gives skin a healthy glow -Heals pimples fast! |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Sticky and messy but its worth it. |
| Bottom line | This is by far my favorite homade face mask ever! I have tried SO many and this is the only one that gave me the best results! How I use it: I use pure clover honey and apply it all over my face before I go to sleep. Just put a towell over your pillow and tie your hair back and leave it on overnight. I feel like the longer you keep it on, the better the results will be! My skin had alot of acne scars from previous blemishes and I had 4 active pimples and they have became less red and are pretty much gone!! Definently recommend this to anyone and everyone!(: |

| Pros | -Smells and tastes great -cheap -easy -ACTUALLY works! |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | I must of tried EVERYTHING for my face. I would try anything from proactive to every pimple cream and even ordered products from dermalogica that can get pricey. Everything works for a small amount of time or not at all. It was so frustrating because everytime my face would start to clear up it would get wors especially around that time of the month. Last week I did the honey and cinnamon mask. I applied it just to the areas that I break out and my face cleared up so much... and that time of the month just came and I dont have ANY new pimples... so i applied the mask on again now to whatever was left from last time. This is absolutely great and even from the first time I tried this my face looked better right after I washed everything off. I plan on doing this atleast 3 times a week even if I dont break out. My skin feels and looks better and I dont need to waste money on concealer that doesnt even work anymore! I feel more confident. I work for an airline company to dealing with customers and feeling that huge pimple on face was the most uncomfortable thing ever! So try this remedy! Cheap...easy...and it works! |

| Pros | Clears your face like magic |
|---|---|
| Cons | Saying there is a con for honey is like saying there is a con for exercise. It aint easy but the benefits outweigh the cost |
| Bottom line | I am a "beeliever"! My acne was completely out of control before I used pure honey on my face. My face was burned, red and inflamed from using medication by the doctor. I used tea tree oil for two weeks and my face showed very slow signs of recovery. After sleeping with a honey mask for 2 nights the inflamation disappeared. After 3 nights my pimples started to heal. After 4 nights my face looked completely clear and smooth. I honestly didn't think this was possible. I highly recommend drinking 4 liters of water per day and eating non greasy foods. Last but not least put a towel over your pillow when you sleep. Trust me on this. I never leave reviews but I want to help others because I was depressed about my skin and now I feel like a million bucks! |

| Pros | -95% clear skin!!! :D I'm too stoked -Acne scars are going away -I can do other stuff while it's on -No more oily skin -Even skin tone -I got some compliments on my skin. That almost never happens :] -Tastes good. Haha -Works in conjunction with Differin |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Sticky -If I don't use it overnight, every night I wake up to new papules -"High-maintanence" see above |
| Bottom line | I love honey! Currently I'm using organize Clover honey. I'm going to bump up to organic, raw Manuka honey soon in hopes of getting 99.9% clear acne, scar free skin. I'll do a review on that after using it for a few months. How I use it: -I mix honey, a little sugar, and a little lemon juice -I wash my face with a gentle cleanser -Apply the mix and then apply strips of tissue or paper towel so it won't get all over the place while I sleep -Wake up in the morning, remove strips, and I wash it off and apply Differin and jojoba oil |

| Pros | Fades red marks Heals popped pimples really quickly Makes your skin really soft Honey does not expire |
|---|---|
| Cons | Makes a terrible mess on bed sheets and clothes Has to be left on for a while |
| Bottom line | Honey works great to lighten up acne scars on your face. It definately wont fade them completely but it will make them very unnoticeable. Use the honey mask as much as you can, it really does nothing but good for your face. I dont think it does anything for active pimples but it definately keeps any new pimples from forming. If you ever pop a pimple, definately apply honey to it right away and you will find it heals so much quicker (sometimes within a day) The problem is that the honey has to be left on for a very long time to be truly effective. While you sleep is perfect expect that it will definately leave a mess. One time, I used the honey mask for an entire weeked excpet for about 4 hours and by monday my skin was almost completely clear. |

| Pros | * softens skin *fades red marks * helps skin heal faster * makes skin glow *makes pimples go down *clears up acne if used regularly |
|---|---|
| Cons | *sticky *uncomfortable to sleep in |
| Bottom line | Try it!! nothing makes my skin look better than honey the trick is to leave it on all night just put a towel over your pillow. it might be super uncomfortable to sleep with honey on your face but you'll get dramatic results compared to if you only put it on your face for 15min or a couple hours. it needs time to stay on your skin and repair it. also do this for more than one day i saw amazing results on the 2nd day. Btw i dont use ANYTHING on my face but honey i dont even use a cleanser. i find that less products on my skin actually keeps my extreme oiliness considerably down and honey is just gentle enough to give me the added moisture. i love it!!! |

| Pros | Cleared up my skin! Softens skin moisturizes tastes great! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Sticky, but that's not a big deal for how great it works. |
| Bottom line | I highly recommend it. It needs to be pure, unpasteurized honey. My local health food store has honey that is processed but only heated to 110 degrees, been using it for weeks and my skin is acne free! Regular store bought doesn't work well, it might help moisturize your skin but you aren't going to get the skin clearing benefits from it. (I don't know what kind the people with negative reviews used but I'm going to guess it wasn't the good stuff) |
