Pros: I've tried almost everything, but today I came across the idea of a honey mask and gave it a try. I can already see a more even tone to my skin and less bumps. The only question I have (if someone could answer) is, how often should I use this? Cons: I used a lot of honey, and the liquid ran all over my face and made a mess. Bottom Line: I would definetly recommend this. I've tried over-the-counter as well as prescription acne medicine, and I've never noticed a change as quickly and noticeably as I did today. I would give it a try, though, as some have said, allergic reactions do occur. Recommended: Yes Usage: Laila has used this item for a day or two. Pros: it helped my face become les red and silky smooth Cons: none Bottom Line: I put a tablespoon of hone with some green tea leaves and a squirt of honey juce i mixed that tougher and left it on for an hour and it helped ALOT it worked better then the acne meds that i bought for $80 i will never go back Recommended: Yes Usage: Elle has used this item for a day or two. Pros: noticeable reduction of blackheads swelling, painful inflammation has gone out of active pimples (pus is reduced) Cons: none yet Bottom Line: I always have a pimple or 2 going on my face. A month ago, I spent time outside in the humidity and heat with a sweaty makeup sludge on my face. My face is now a disaster & a sea of blackheads on my chin lets me know that I can expect more trauma soon! So I dropped like $280 on products from Bliss that will oxygenate the skin & get the bacteria out of pores. I've gone for 3 facials (complete with enzyme peels & lasers that are supposed to get the bacteria out of your pores). Haven't seen a lot of improvement. My skin is so inflamed they can't extract the pimples or blackheads. Last night, while reading about changes I could make to my diet (ie getting rid of caffeine & milk) I saw honey masks mentioned. I'd heard of it before, but I'm prejudiced against cheap and easy remedies! I used a little crystalized honey from our container from Trader Joes (the crystals gently exfoliated) and left it on for 10 minutes. My skin is MUCH better this morning, esp. the blackheads. Pros: Smells sweet Cons: Other than it's sticky, nothing. Bottom Line: I just used honey for the first time today and I looked in the mirror to find that my acne isn't as red as it was earlier in the day and that my skin is softer and smoother! Pros: SOO smooth and is making my skin less irritated, shrinkin my pimples and smells gooood. Cons: obviously sticky and runny, I wouldn't recomend heating it first, leaving it room temp. will be fine. Bottom Line: DO it. its in your house, its NATURAL which is awesome. and yeah its great. Pros: leaves skin soft and silky makes pores less visable Cons: if you put it on to thick it will drip and get u messy Bottom Line: i boil water over the stove ... then remove it and put a towel over my head and the bowl of water and get close to the hot water but not to close that it burns but close enough that the steam goes staight to your face.... then once the pores are open and i do this for about 5-10 min then i pat a lil with the towel and with 2 drops of lemon in the honey mask thin layer on for about 20 min then rince off with cool water Enjoy! Pros: quick, easy, convenient, cheap, effective, sweet! Cons: none? Bottom Line: I was on Accutane for about 3 months, which I ended about 2 months ago. My acne resurfaced, unfortunately. Before it was quite severe, but when it resurfaced, the acne was only moderate. I put the honey on and within 2 days my pimples dissipated greatly. I think the honey had the impact on my results. Pros: leaves skin soft, even, less inflammed, calmed down Cons: hard to wash off. can cause bumps if put on for too long. Bottom Line: great. i leave it on for about 15 minutes and it does wonders. Pros: Smells great tastes great and leaves skin very soft and smooth Cons: Can be messy and has to be used at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes for continued effectiveness Bottom Line: Honey speeds along the healing process and is great for many other skins problems for the whole body.
