| Pros | -fades scars -prevent pimples from coming -skin feels soft -natural glow to the skin -easy to use - cheap -smells good |
|---|---|
| Cons | -its not so sticky for me just a little |
| Bottom line | using honey for acne is so simple this is what i do every night: things you need - honey...1 tablespoon -cinnamon...1 teaspoon -lemon juice...about 1/4 of a teaspoon or just a few drops ( i use unpasturized clover honey) (note:many people say to use raw honey, i'm using clover honey because it works best for me) What to do: 1) put the honey in the bowl an microwave it for about 10 seconds or until melted 2)add the cinnamon and lemon juice 3) wash your face with warm water to open you pores. 4) apply the mixture to you face.since i add in cinnamon the honey will stick on your face better. 5) leave on for at least 15 min. 6)put a washcloth under cold water and squeeze out all the extra. 7) take the honey off gently with the cold washcloth 8) pat dry your face and your done the honey and be a little bit hard to take off with a cold washcloth but it works better because the honey will be inside your pores instead of out i use this every night and i stared seeing results in two days! |

| Pros | Evens out skin tone Smells/tastes great Glowing complexion |
|---|---|
| Cons | Sticky/messy |
| Bottom line | I've been using honey as a mask for a couple days now and could not be happier with the results! At first, I just put the honey straight out of the bottle all over my face. I did this overnight and it made my skin tone even out tremendously the next day. I also tried a mix of 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp olive oil, and 1 egg yoke (found this from another review) and this also works wonders. Not only is the mask easy to apply, but it doesn't run and it dries pretty quickly. You can wear either of these masks for 15 minutes or the entire day/overnight (which ever you have the time for or are comfortable with). I've found that including honey in my facial regiment has completely helped my skin! |

| Pros | tastes good, WORKS, moisturizing, cheap |

| Cons | nada |
| Bottom line | My face broke out last week, and as I was short on funds, I decided to try a few home remedies. First, I tried toothpaste - AWFUL! Dried out the zits, but left ugly ugly red marks. My fix? HONEY. It doesn't remove make up, so at night I've been washing with warm water, pure soap, and baking soda - finishing with a honey mask for about 5 minutes. Rinse off then splash with cold water to close pores. In the morning I wash with honey, rinse again with cold water. My face is looking amazing! Very soft, my blackheads on my nose and chin (which I had finally given up on and accepted the fact that they'd never go away) disappeared! The red marks are almost gone and my face looks and feels better than it ever has!!! I've tried expensive, fancy cleansers from Sephors. I've tried Proactiv (which did work). Drugstore brands (I've been obsessed with the Aveeno line) and NOTHING has worked this well! I'm sticking with it. :) |

| Pros | Gentle, no chemicals, no redness.. And lightened my acne scars. Also left my skin really soft. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Left my skin drier than usual, but no itchiness or redness.. Just use lotion after if this happens to you. |
| Bottom line | It's great! I cut a whole lime in half and squeezed the juice into a cup.. Then put honey in it and mixed it up. You can save some for later.. Make sure you put the honey in the microwave for alittle first. Make sure it's warm!! |

| Pros | Moisturing Smells amazing Reduces redness Natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | None, if you can get passed the messiness |
| Bottom line | I use honey with just about everything. I use it with aspirin or sugar as an exfoliant every 2-3 days, I've used it as a moisturizer, with brown sugar as a body scrub, with sugar and vasaline as a lip exfoliant, with a little lemon juice or just alone. Whenever I'm making something for my face in my kitchen, I'll try to incorporate honey in with whatever I'm making. I have a moderately red complexion, even without the acne to make it look even worse, and this has really turned it down after long-term use. I'm still a little red on my cheeks and chin, but I can't ask for it to completely disappear, can I? I'm not exactly sure what it's done for my acne, honestly. Especially since it's been flaring up horribly recently (thanks to a new cleanser that I have thoroughly kicked as of yesterday) but I would still recommend it to anyone. |

| Pros | Reduces reddness, smells great, cheap, makes skin soft immediately, easy to use, okay for sensitive skin, IT'S NATURAL |
|---|---|
| Cons | it can get a little messy |
| Bottom line | I've been using it for about a week, and my skin is already clearing up (even more amazingly, it's starting to clear up a week before "that time of the month", which is when my acne gets way worse. Even after the first use, I noticed that my skin was softer, and the pimples weren't as red. I usually put it on for about an hour then rinse it off before I go to sleep. I have sensitive skin, and using honey has not made my skin flake. I would definately give this a try. |

| Pros | Helps bring down cystic acne and leaves skin baby soft! |
|---|---|
| Cons | None really. For me, I usually just use it as a cleanser mixed with fine sea salt, acv, warm water, lemon juice, and aloe vera. I leave it on as a mask if I have time. |
| Bottom line | If you don't like the stickiness then mix it with a bit of warm water or something and it significantly helps. The pros outweigh the cons for me so I'm going to continue with my regimen. |

| Pros | Makes my skin feel soft Smells good |
|---|---|
| Cons | It's messy! |
| Bottom line | You need to be close to a mirror, to keep track on where the honey is, lol. But yeah, if you have dry skin or just want to try something else, this is a good mask. I don't have dry skin, but it works quite well anyway. My skin always feels smooth afterwards. |

| Pros | - Cleared up spots after only one use. - Left skin feeling very soft - Tightened large pores |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Very sticky -left skin slightly pink for a while -a bit itchy |
| Bottom line | The benefits of this treatment far outweigh the problems if you have skin which responds well to it. Not for everyone but worked great for me using ordinary runny honey from a jar. Used a few times because I thought it might work and it definitely did! Much quicker results than other treatments and does not dry out skin as much. |
