| Pros | This product does well for cystic acne. It is also good for staph. infections. It helps prevent future break out if used regularly. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dries out skin. Also, must be extremely careful not to get it in yours eyes because it can cause corneal damage to the eye and even blindness. So, be very careful with this product near eyes. I saw a patient lose their eye due to hibiclens getting in the eye. |

| Pros | Very gentle on my skin it doesn't over dry it the smell is nice this is literally the only thing that work on my sever cysts and acne. Its a "Miracle" product for me!!! |
|---|---|
| Cons | It's almost a liquid so its very hard not to loose some of it down the drawn when applying it also its hard to lather. |
| Bottom line | I had sever cysts and acne it was hard to even go out of the house some weeks its was so bad. I been to 5 dermatologist and 2 endocrinologists for my sever cysts and acne. I have tried literally every product off the shelf and by prescription including prescription pills gels masks you name it and I have probably tried it. I have even done home remedies vitamin supplements dietary changes ex. Nothing worked!!!This is the only thing that has worked for me in my struggle with cysts and acne. I have never been clear for this long in my entire struggle with acne. This is a miracle for me I was so embarrassed to even walk out of the house. Now I have so much confidence I love my skin for the first time in many many years. |

| Pros | Reduced redness Prevented new break outs at first Clean Feeling! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dries out skin inconsistent |
| Bottom line | I started using this after my friend recommended it. I used it consistently for a few weeks. It stopped the break outs and gradually reduced the current break out appearance. It dries out your skin and makes it flaky so using a good moisturizer would be a good idea. In my opinion its too harsh to use on mild acne on a daily basis. If you are someone who has really severe or cystic acne this is a great product because it really does kill bacteria. Around finals my skin went from tolerable to unbearable over night. It was red and painful. After a couple days of using this it helped reduce it tremendously. If you have mild to moderate acne this would be to treat break outs on those bad days for sure as a go to wash. But if your acne is severe i recommend it for frequent use. |

| Pros | I have suffered from adult acne for around twenty-five years. I have had to use acne medicine daily to keep the acne away. Prior to going in for surgery on my neck, I started cleansing with Hibiclens. I kept on cleansing my lower face and neck with Hibiclens post-surgery because of open wounds and swollenness. After about a week, I realized that my cystic acne was gone -- without daily acne medicine. (It would always return when I stopped the acne medicine.) |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | If you have not had any luck with acne medicines (with sal. acid etc.), give Hibiclens a try. (Read the directions.) Good luck. |

| Pros | Leaves skin feeling clean, dries out and heals existing pimples, prevents new acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | Does not lather, not as effective for clearing blackheads |
| Bottom line | Try this product! I have only been using it for a week and have noticed dramatic results. My brother had a staph infection and used hibiclens. I saw the bottle sitting on his bathroom counter and thought hey, I bet you could use this for acne too! After I found the rave reviews, I tried it and am so glad I did! Nothing else has worked as well or as fast for me! |

| Pros | Cheaper than Phisohex Cleanses oily skin well Easy to apply and use |
|---|---|
| Cons | Does not rinse from skin as easily as soap |
| Bottom line | I am 67 and have suffered from adult acne since my teens. (I had the worst case the doctors had seen when a teenager.) I used Phisohex for years (you used to be able to buy it OTC for about $25/gal.) When it became unavailable by prescription a few years back, my family physician recommended Hibiclens. My facial skin is very oily, so a daily cleanse helps even now. I'm a scientist and I don't see potential for serious harm in using it. As with any medication, be alert for reactions or unusual changes in complexion. |

| Pros | clearer skin existing blemishes heal faster pores seem smaller |
|---|---|
| Cons | liquid hard to apply to face must massage into skin for at least 2min. |
| Bottom line | I really like this product simply because I have seen great results with it and when I stop using it I see my skin flare back up. I have sensitive skin along with mild eczema and other products, like benzoyl peroxide, made my skin dry. This kills the bacteria that cause acne and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, I would recommend this to a friend. After all this was recommended to me. TIP: Be sure to massage it into your skin for at least two minutes otherwise the results will be limited. |

| Bottom line | THIS WILL NOT CAUSE BLINDNESS IF YOU GET IT IN YOUR EYES!!!! This is used for surgical scrub for patients and caregivers hands sometimes. That is why this warning is on here, not to be used in or near eyes during surgical procedures where it can pool for long periods. If you get it in your eyes: RINSE WELL. THAT IS ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE |

| Pros | maybe good for washing hands |
|---|---|
| Cons | Extremely drying. It doesnt really feel like its drying but after a few weeks you will see. |
| Bottom line | This is the first time reviewing anything on this site. I am telling you to stay away from using hibiclens on your face. I overthought my personal regimen and decided to us this. The first few days my few pimples dried up and fell off. I thought I had a staple... I was wrong. I noticed that this stuff dried my face and shrunk my pores to a tiny size. The small pores sound good, right? Wrong. After two weeks I am having a terrible break out. My face hasn't looked this bad in quite a while. I'm not sure if it was from irritation or from closed off pores, but this product definately wasn't right for me. There is a reason why more people don't use this. Please consider before buying. |
