Pros Actually does help and is good for your body too
Cons can get expensive to buy so much green tea
and it makes you pee!
Bottom line This made me feel really good and I know green tea is good for your body and helps with cancer and stuff so I'm going to try to drink it as much as possible. But I was told only to get the really good stuff and it got too expensive to use 3 teabags a day so I've had to cut back. I did notice a difference in my skin. My acne was still there but the pimples didn't seem so angry.... I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be healthier in general and probably help their skin too

Pros easy to apply
DRIES UP PIMPLES AMAZINGLY
soothes skin
reduces hyperpigmentation
super cheap to purchase
Cons none
Bottom line I boil up to three cups of green tea a day, drink it raw and apply the tea to my face. At first, I thought I could only use decaf green tea after reading some of the posts but then I realized that ALL tea is caffeinated...that's its NATURAL form and natural is always best. So, I bought a higher quality green tea from Trader Joe's (instead of just any generic tea leaves of questionable quality for example). It's 100% Green Tea, not decaf or infused with any special flavors or additives....

IT IS AMAZING! I have found that the REGULAR OLD GREEN TEA WORKS BETTER THAN DECAF. So, the bottom line is, choose any PURE green tea and use it. I boil up water and drink the green tea with NO sugar or anything. After all, I don't want anything to weaken/reduce the effectiveness of the tea. After drinking the tea, I lightly squeeze the tea bag of excess water and (once its stopped dripping) rub the still hot bag of tea across my face. I then let that water/green tea dry on my face and do it again. I do this morning and night. If my skin feels dry, I apply Neutrogena SPF 50 moisturizer (the only one creamy enough to keep my skin balanced and healthy).

I have found that this stuff is like a MIRACLE. It dries up acne like no other and seems to detox the skin. The tea tastes GROSSSSSSS (to me and again, i drink it with no additives) but I just chug it down because hey...I'd rather have nasty tea with no sugar/honey than have acne.

Though I still have breakouts, they go away MUCH faster with the green tea. DON'T forget to actually CONSUME the green tea. This way, the tea is working both from the outside in and from the inside out. I have found that results are better when I actually drink the tea AND apply it directly to my skin.

Bottom line: I'm using this stuff FOR LIFEEEEEE. I wish I could rate this a 10 out of 5!

Pros Organic, safe, cheap and easy
Cons Messy - how do you apply it??
Bottom line Nobody has really broken down a good way to apply green tea yet. It's not a cream or a lotion or a powder, its basically water so you can apply it like a toner, but there are other ways. The Green Tea Moisturizer that Proactive makes is terrible - it made me break out and felt greasy, so I wouldn't reccomend that. I've found the best way to apply is a spritzer bottle that produces a fine mist (you can use an old bottle of product, just make sure you clean it out thoroughly, and clean it again!). Spray it on your face and neck after a shower or bath when your pores are open. For an additional astringent effect you can add lemon, but that will make it spoil faster. In summertime you could keep it in the refridgerator for hot days (when you're not wearing makeup). Finally, you can make a mask using aloe vera gel or avocado and pureeing one or both with a small amount of a very strong brew of the green tea or just open some used tea bags into the mix. Contrary to what some have posted, CAFFEINE IS NOT BAD FOR YOUR SKIN. Caffeine is a proven wrinkle-fighter and has been used in eye-creams and other anti-aging products for years. I think people are thinking of consuming coffee and energy drinks being bad for your skin, which is partially true.

Pros Natural, immediatly clears pores, makes skin glow
Cons Dries skin (but it's worth it, just use an oil free moisturizer after putting it on ur face)
Bottom line Ok so i'm 14 and I've had moderate acne for about 1-2 yrs and let me say, it's so embarrassing and annoying; it controls my life basically. I break out on my chin really badly, and on occasion, my forehead. And I've tried atonnnn of remedies, washes and expiriments. So then I heard about using green tea bags on ur face (which didn't sound that crazy compared to other things I was willing to do for my acne lol) and I guess u drink slot of green tea also. And I just finised rubbing the bag on my face and it's litraly glowing. I'm not sure if it'll get rid of my acne but I'll definitly use it just because it feels great on my skin.

Pros -Has stopped new pimples from coming (which is amazing, because I would get at least 3-4 new ones a day, on top of existing ones!)

-Reduced existing pimples

-Reduced redness in my face, evened out skin tone

-Only been using for 2 DAYS, and have noticed an incredible difference

-Does not make your acne worse, then better, like other products and stuff do
Cons -Maybe the taste at first, but I put honey in mine, so its better, and you get used to the taste
Bottom line I have only been using this for two days now, but i already see an INCREDIBLE difference. I have had moderate, noticeable acne for about four years now (at the moment I'm 17), I have tried endless over the counter products, none of which have worked has well as green tea. My existing pimples are disappearing, the redness in my face has died down, and so far I have had no new pimples pop up which is amazing!!

I use a decaffeinated Green Tea, from the brand Trust Us. I drink 3 cups a day, an after I wash my face at night with Neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser (which is an excellent light face wash), I drink a cup of Green Tea and rub the leftover tea bag all over my face, letting my face air dry.

This stuff is absolutely amazing, you should at least give it a try, what have you got to lose?

Also, it is very cheap, only costing me $4 for a pack of 50. MAKE SURE YOU GET DECAFFEINATED! Because caffeine is bad for your skin, and will keep you up at night.

May I also mention that Green tea, after you egt used o the taste, is delicious and instantly makes me feel calm. I absolutely love it.

Oh, and for the past week I have cut milk out of my diet (made a huge difference I believe), and have been trying to eat more healthy, such as eating more fruits and vegetables and healthy snacks.

After researching I have found snack foods that are proven to be good for the skin; Brazil Nuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Apricots, Carrots, Mangoes, Almonds, Eggs, and of course, FRUIT AND VEGETABLES!

Hope I helped! :)
