Pros drinking green tea is helps, but washing your face in it is even better. steep the tea for a long time; the hue should be dark brown. you can use it cold or hot. wash when you normally wash your face. atleast twice per day. acne clears up daily.
Cons tea may stain the bathroom. a bit time consuming if you're really busy. a pain to lug that big bowl up and down the stairs. but it helps. it's worth it.
Bottom line nice. wash it, not drink it. though drinking is nice and proved to relax the body and mind.
Price paid $10.00

Pros Are there any?
Cons Not sure if it's working for me.
Taste is bitter.
Bottom line I have been drinking Lipton Natural Decaf for about a week or two, nothing spectacular has happened. I am still breaking out. I drink it with honey and it still tastes nasty. I drink 2-4 cups of tea a day, it's not fun.
Price paid $5.00

Pros Green tea is a great antioxidant as you all know. I drink Green tea once a day and it really helps. However in regards to acne in order to affect it I personally think that you have to drink a respectable amount (3-4 cups a day).
Cons Thank you for sharing your experiences, I believe it is really important to speak your truth to help people move forward. Thank you
Bottom line By the way always buy the Decaff, a little pricy but better than worsing the situation with caffeine.
Price paid $3.00

I've been drinking green tea for about 3 weeks, I can't say it has really done anything. I wish I could give something positive to say but my skin is exactly the same. At least I'm being healthy!

I was very interested to find all these comments on green tea. I used to take anitbiotics for my acne, which is not terribly bad, but I do suffer from outbreaks around my chin and nose. However, after taking the pills (minocylcine) on and off for two years and still seeing spots I decided to try a change in diet, as well as some herbal remedies. So as an avid tea drinker I decided to give up the regular tea and drink green tea (and other herbal teas) instead. At first, I seemed to get even more spots, but now I think my skin is healing up! I'm gonna continue with the herbal tea. I think Evening Primrose Oil and Echinacea, which I'm also taking, are good too.

Like Kristin said, caffeine may have negative affects on your skin (though it's often used in skin brightening creams); caffeine free green tea is available. Removing the caffeine doesn't affect the amount of antioxidants in the tea. And you can't expect anything to be a miracle. But most experts will say that green tea just might be one. And most experts will tell you that the required 64 oz of water daily may be excessive for some people (or not nearly enough for others) because you do consume water in other forms. So, in theory you could get your 64oz from green tea. A cup or 2 is a good start, but to see results you need to drink A LOT. I've heard recommendations ranging from 6 to 10 cups a day (36oz to 80oz). For quite some time I've been reading about the benefits of green. It can supposedly almost completely neutralize the effects of tobacco use, cure acne, prevent aging, slow Huntington’s Disease, help you lose weight, reduce the risk of breast and prostate cancer (confirmed by FDA), lower cholesterol (the bad kind), boost your immune system, and ease the effects of arthritis. Now if even half of these claims are even half true, that makes downing gallons of green tea worthwhile. So, about 4 days ago, I decided it was about time to buy myself a nice big box of green tea. So, 4 days (and 144oz of green tea) later, there is a notable improvement in my complexion. I'm not as red as usual, blemishes are clearing at record speed, my skin is smoother and the dark circles under my eyes are fading (though I still only get about 4 hours of sleep a night). Now, keep in mind, the positive change may more in my head than on my face. Or perhaps my belief in green tea is so great that the turnaround in psychosomatic. Regardless of reality, I'm very pleased with what I'm seeing, which is really what's important.

Important information:
* While green tea contains half the caffeine of coffee, still drink caffeine free green tea. Or you may never get any sleep ever again.
* taking green tea as a supplements is a great idea, but it absorbs faster and better as a liquid.
* It’s best fresh brewed. Bottled green tea contains preservatives, which also affects the potency.
* Unless you already drink lots and lots of water, it will take time for your body to adjust, so expect to have to pee a lot.
*For best results, use in conjunction with stress management and 9 hours of sleep.

this works well for smoothing your skin, and the well being of your body, i just did a google search on it, this will help you, but the small amt of caffiene in the tea may affect your skin in a negative way by making it break out. as SODA will to.Soda and other highly caffinated high sugar drinks will make your skin flaky, drying your skin out horribly sending it to an oil producing overdrive mode causing bad acne, OILY skin, and bad looking skin.
Instead of just relying on this to create a miracle for your skin. You need to drink tons of water. Eat maybe a salad withsome fresh produce and some cottage cheese on the side.of try squeezing a lil lemon in your water. If your broke out in spots, try washing your face with mild soap and dabbing fresh lemon on your face. It may itch a little bit, and it may sting a little. But trust me it works. if your broke out really bad, do it a second night. But however dont do it every single night. it will make your skin overly sensitive, and it will burn bad. make some fresh guacamole and add tomatoes for taste. It does wonders. Seriously, trust me, i know in 3 weeks i have another photoshoot, and a modeling audidion so im trying to clear my skin to perfection.
Honestly, they say its bad, and excessivly It is. But you should try going tanning ontop of eating right. And drinking what your supposed to. youll feel better, and youll look phenominal. The best of luck to you!
