Pros: No smell - dries fast - moisturizes Cons: Sticky when first put on but it dries fast and its nothing overly disgusting. Bottom Line: I was a little bit of a non-believer when it came to this stuff. I had some lying around the house (in a bigger pump bottle form) and I decided to look up the benefits of the product. My acne is very light, but I had recently burned my face with Hydrogen peroxide as I had gotten it confused with rubbing alcohol. I swept it across my face and the right side of my cheek had gotten some mild red burn spots so I started using aloe vera gel three weeks ago and I can honestly say my self esteem has gone up 110% as I can see them fading away - slowly but persistently. I am so happy to not have to wear my hair down to cover the spotting. They are almost gone!! I don't think it would help severe acne - maybe very light to moderate or mild - but give it a go! you will NOT be disappointed!!! Recommended: Yes Usage: Krista has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: - Doesn't have a smell - clear - smooth Cons: - makes my skin burn, especially when I have a sun burn or flaky skin - doesn't really moisturize well Bottom Line: I needed a new aloe vera gel to get because of my sun burn, and also because I've heard it's a great moisturizer to use everyday because it doesn't clog your pores. The bottom line is, this stuff burned my skin like hell. I seriously thought my skin was on fire after applying this, which I did after I washed my face and before I applied my topicals. If you have sensitive, sun burned, flaky, dry, cracked etc. skin, you might want to stay away from this particular brand of aloe vera gel. Pros: Fades acne scars within days, less oily, speeds up healing process of acne. Cons: Sticky, but that doesn't really bother me. So apart from that. NONE. NIL. :) Bottom Line: Well, I use it throughout the night. After washing my face with Loreal. I'll let it sink in my skin and wash it off the next morning. And it WORKS WONDERS! Really. My acne scars has faded and it looks so gorgeous now! Plus my skin is so sensitive, it reduces inflammation and redness on my skin. I occasionally get compliments for it! So yeahhh, I really think everybody with acne problems, like me should try this out. Seriously. It's very effective. But of course, everything takes time. So it should really start to clear up within 2 to 3 weeks of use. Well, it did work for me. And a lot of people so I think it's best if you try this out. You'll never know if it works or not. Pros: This works great at getting rid of the side-effects of Benzoyl Peroxide. It keeps dryness and new, irritating little pimples at bay. Cons: Can sting the eyes if it gets close to them. Stick for the first 2min, but then it's fine. Bottom Line: I have extremely sensitive skin. Benzoyl Peroxide and me generally don't get along so well. My routine, every night. - wash face with Cetaphil for Oily Skin - apply OXY 5 Regular Strength - after the OXY's dried, I apply a generous amount of Aloe Gel. I've been doing this for about 3 weeks now. The side-effects of Benzoyl Peroxide are completely diminished by using this product. Pros: - cures dry skin - improves texture of skin - reduces size of pimples Cons: - feels sticky - stings eyes if it goes in them Bottom Line: I started using Aloe Vera exactly 3 weeks ago and I could not be happier. I had severe dry skin as a result of previously used harsh acne products. This product healed my dry skin in one week. As for my acne, it hasn't been a miracle cure, but certaintly does help. My pimples are smaller in size and redness. It does not prevent acne so maybe you could try combining it with some other product. I had light skin discoloration from scars which was helped greatly. Pros: no smell helps with the acne scars Cons: none Bottom Line: well to tell you the truth my friend gave me the bottle of aloe Vera for free and i started using it on spring break and a fact is that im drinking lots of water and my pimples seem to stop coming and putting this at night its just amazing i really recommend it, but make sure you put it at night and wash it off in the morning so it wont look like your peeling. believe me it happened but i wast peeling lol Recommended: Yes Usage: ryan has used this item for about a week. Pros: It works, It drys quickly, It doesn't smell, It is amazing Cons: None Bottom Line: I bought the Skin Gel from Aloe Life at Whole Foods. It is Certified Organic. I have been having all sorts of problems with acne and nothing was working. I finally started using this and it is like a miracle. A week ago I was wearing a baseball cap and trying to hide my face and now I have no need for a cap because my face is 95% better. All the acne is gone except for a some left over red spots. I put the gel on before bed and it drys within about a minute which means I can sleep with it on and it doesn't get all over my pillow. Then I easily wash it off in the morning. When it drys it sort of turns into a natural band-aid. I've had absolutly no problem with it clogging my pores. People are amazed at how fast my face improved. I am so glad I finally found something that works and is all natural. I am going to keep using this and see if all the redness will go away, I think it already is starting to fade.
