Pros Very effective for preventing/healing acne
Affordable
Cons Makes eyes watery
Takes time to finish the regimen
Bottom line This is truly a great product!

I joined this website to spread the news. My friends and I (in our late 20's) have been suffering from adult acne (moderately severe/severe) and we all have cleared up because of Aloe Vera Gel.

It truly prevents/heals acne and will clear up your skin if you do this regimen every night. Please follow these directions:

1. Cleanse skin.
2. Apply toner.
3. Apply a THICK layer of the Aloe Vera Gel. YOU MUST APPLY A LOT.
4. Wait about 15 mins for your skin to absorb the gel (close your eyes or else it will sting your eyes).
5. Apply moisturizer (I use Cetaphil) on top of the gel.
6. Wait 5 mins for moisturizer to dry.
7. Wash off in the morning.

I recommend you use this product as IT WILL WORK. My friends and I have spent thousands of dollars trying to clear up our skin and this cheap solution ended up being our lifesaver!

Pros It contains no alcohol, feels cool on the skin, fragrance free, and doesn't harm the skin. It creates a nice, dry layer to protect my skin from dust at night.
Cons Once I apply it onto my skin, it starts to make my eyes water, and it always does this everytime I apply it before going to bed. It hasn't really done anything great for my acne. My acne seems to heal very SLOWLY with this product.
Bottom line Once it dries onto my skin, it feels so tight that it's hard for me to smile. I thought it would MOISTURIZE, but it's just like hair gel. It's like a super thin layer of plastic wrapped around my face. It's not bad, because my blemishes heal faster, and it keeps my skin protected. And it's not good, because it stings a little, and it makes my skin very tight.

Pros -Reduces redness
-Non-irritating
-Great for acne-prone skin
-Cheap, but I had to buy it online
Cons -Seems to dry skin a bit, but I found that it may be because aloe is not really a moisturizer; it's made to hold moisture in. For me, it left skin dryish because there was no moisture to begin with.
Bottom line Worth using for the reduction of redness. I like to use it after a little jojoba oil to seal in the moisture. :)

Pros -Reduces Redness
-Doesn't Cause Breakouts
-Gentle
-Fragrance Free
-Colorless
-Non irritating
-Cheap. HUGE bottle for only 12 bucks
-Non-greasy matte finish
Cons -Had to buy online
-Doesn't reduce all redness, but i doubt anything does
Bottom line If your looking for aloe vera gel GET THIS. Unlike other aloe vera gels this one is colorless, fragrance free, good for acne prone skin, gentle, etc. I don't apply it straight to my face. I mix it into my moisturizer (cerave cream and lotion) and apply that mixture morning and night. i just apply the aloe vera gel after moisturizing to my nose or cheeks if they are extra red. It defiantly reduces redness. its non-greasy. doesn't irritate my skin. i recommend it to any who wants to reduce redness especially if they are on accutane (like me) or any topical acne treatments. I gave it a 4 just because its not perfect

Pros Inexpensive
reduces redness
speeds healing of blemishes
Cons I don't know how they can call this 100% pure Aloe vera, just take a look at the ingredients it contains a bunch of chemical preservatives
Bottom line It works well to reduce redness and speed healing of zits, cuts, sunburn....etc. Id rather stick with an all natural Aloe product such as Aubrey Organics Pure Aloe Vera which contains only Aloe Vera, Grapfruit Seed extract and Vit-E or just buy an Aloe plant and get it straight from the leaves.

Pros great for body and hair
no scent
Cons does not work for everybody-- especially for those with dry/ sensitive skin
worsened acne
dried out skin
burning and itching
Bottom line I started using this Aloe Vera gel to hasten the healing of acne scars and blemishes, as well as to moisturize my face during the day and night. In the first week, I noticed that my skin was noticeably drier and flakier. My blemishes were even redder than before despite the cool soothing feeling I felt from applying the gel. After weeks of continued use, my skin worsened significantly. My acne would not heal as fast and my skin looked so parched.

It is such a shame because I heard rave reviews about aloe vera for acne and face, and I was so sure that it would work on me. Unfortunately, I think those with dry/sensitive skin will find that this will cause more harm than benefits. This gel does not work for everyone.

Pros helps reduce redness
Cons a little sticky
doesn't treat acne
takes a lot of it to work
Bottom line it helps with redness but don't expect it to treat your acne. for me, it takes A LOT of aloe to take the redness down, but in the end it works.

Pros Fragrance free
Cools sunburns
Cons Makes my eyes sting and water like crazy!
Bottom line It's great on sunburns but DO NOT use it near your eyes. They wil sting and you look like you've been crying for hours. It DOES cool though, but with the eye-stinging I wouldn't use it again on my face. For my body it does work great.
