Pros Originally recommended by my doctor to minimize scarring after surgery. Applies easily, works as alcohol-free shaving gel and as a medium-hold hair gel.
Cons Because it only comes in economical sizes, I will have to figure out how to transfer some to a smaller container for air travel.
Bottom line If you want an alcohol-free shaving or styling gel, this is the most economical solution I have found. Comes in 6 oz tube and 24 oz bottle (price is for the 24 oz).

I break out a lot on my chin and my forehead. And I get those terrible tiny bumps all over my skin that I never thought would go away. And I get really harsh breakouts that are almost impossible to cover up. And I've tried EVERYTHING. I've spent hundreds of dollars on all these skin treatments and creams and stuff. And nothing has helped.

For 4 months I have been using this 100% gel by FOTE. and I LOVE it. I use alcohol/soap free Spectro Jel, then apply the FOTE gel and let it dry, then use Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. And Im telling you, my skin has never looked so good.

Within 1 week of first using these products, my face cleared up almost completely. Its been 4 months, and I dont have those annoying bumps on my face anymore, and I get a zit here and there, but it fads within a few days.

FOTE is my hero.

Works Great! I've learned so much about acne/blemish products from acne.org. I bought the Dr.Sheffields Clear Zit cream the other day, which worked very well but made my face very red and peel. The Bp gel from the regimen started to make dark circles on my face. I decided to get the aloe vera gel (GNC & CVS brand) along with pure jojoba oil. My face could not look better! I have been using them in conjunction for the past 5 days... There are NO dark circles on my face and the red marks have significantly cleared. I'm not quite sure how I want to use them together though (as a cleanser, moisturizer...) so hopefully I can get some ideas from existing/future comments to get the maximum benefit!

after breaking out very badly on an expensive department store skin care line, I decided to simplify my skin care. I now only use unscented glycerine soap with an extra-gentle buf-puf for exfoliation, and aloe vera gel to both moisturize and heal my skin (Im not using Fruit of the Earth, but rather the CVS knock-off which was only $2.59 for 6 oz but has all the same ingredients). Ive been doing this for 2 days, and already my skin is improving. I mean, my skin a few days ago looked like I had a rash. A rash of pimples, but I know it wasnt any sort of allergy or that. it was just acne from using this awful stuff that I found out later had mineral oil as a main ingredient. Anyway, the aloe does make my face tight, but it also dries out my pimples and certainly takes away the redness. Its really soothing. As a tip - apply it when your face is still wet, and it doesnt get as tight. It really isnt a moisturizer, but im using it like one. Eventually my skin will adjust to it. For under my eyes though (I usually use an eye cream) Im using pure jojoba oil, and that has been great too. Ive heard of people using that as moisturizer too, but im too scared at this point to try.

I bought this as a recommendation by people here and I have to say, nothing has soothed my slight acne more than this product. My skin is evenly toned and less shiny because of this product. If you use a light application in the morning and a liberal application at night (buy the 24 oz. bottle) you will notice that your skin is dramatically better after a week. It's best used after some apricot scrub or anything that smooths out your skin thats not too abrasive because this product will sink in deeper and help smooth out slight acne scars you may have, believe it or not. I've used scrub trying to flx slight scars from childhood but now with this gel I'm actually beginning to see results after almost a month now. My few scars appear lighter and less pronounced and I get comments from friends over how much more "smooth" my face is in general. Try this out if you need a moisturizer that doesnt make you break out and treat your skin over time.
