Pros It actually prevents any kind of breakout from deep within the skin.It also cleans and purifies my pores and reduces the size/redness/soreness of exisiting pimples. Sinks into your skin almost instantly, no matter how much you put on! Skin glows.
Cons Stings eyes like crazy when you first put it on in the morning. But thats pretty much it.
Bottom line Definitely the best thing I've tried to combat occasional zits ever since I finished my Roaccutane course in April of this year.
I started using this to reduce the redness that ROA had cause and to try and help with the scarring too.
The redness has dramatically improved and the acne scars are SLOWLY fading. But I'd rather have a few tiny scars on the sides of my face than looking like a human pizza again.
Best thing on the market and its natural too.
Much more effective than all those other over the counter creams/gels that practically BURN your face off with all the chemicals in them.

Pros Doesn't clog pores, pores look smaller.
Very cheap. Skin tone appears more even in colour when I wake up. Fragrance Free. Absorbs quickly. Pump bottle. Cools the skin.
Cons Stings the eyes even if you don't put any around the eye area. Smell might take some getting used to.
Bottom line CHEAP. Skin feels smoother, looks more even coloured. The Gel soothes inflamination caused by acne so they heal faster. Doesn't clog pores and sinks into skin fast with a cooling sensation. And again, it's extremely cheap! Makes the whole 5 min eye sting routine every night worthwhile. Can be used in conjunction with BP gel.

I got this in Canada about $7.00CND for 500mL.

Pros Cheap, doesn't smell, easily accessible
Cons I cant realy wear it out of the house.
It can be very drying and sting a little for the first few minutes. I usually just fan it to dry faster.
Bottom line I was using Aloe Vera Gel for about 3 or 4 months consistently, and had no breakouts, and for some reason I stopped for about a month and then I started breaking out prettly badly! I couldn't figure out how I went from clear great skin to breakouts all over my lower face.
Well, I remembered how great Aloe Vera gel worked and I'm back on it. It's only been a day and I can tell the difference already! I have both the plant and gel, they both work consistently well.
I also layer it on really thick!

This site is awesome, best acne site I've come across! Thanks Dan!

Pros natural,CHEAP, softens and lightens acne red scars in just a week!!!!
Cons it stings the eyes. while i apply the gel all around my face except around the eye area i close my eyes but it still tends to sting them a little but it's not a big deal. it's not the best moisturizer and not very good under makeup
Bottom line i never thought anything but time was going to heal my horrible red acne scars that literally cover the WHOLE area of both sides of my cheeks but i bought FOTE after reading all the raves about this gel and i'm afraid i just have to rave about it too! i apply it liberally and massage it in my skin twice a day and within 2 weeks my small red acne scars faded alot but the extremely red ones softened only a little bit but with a few more weeks i'm sure they'll keep on improving. i used to layer on heavy makeup ALL OVER to cover my acne marks but now i just need 1 layer on most parts of my cheeks! (some small areas still need alot of makeup but thats okay!) this is GREAT GREAT stuff!!!!! try it if you havne't already you won't be dissapointed. i won't be using anything else for a longggggg time :D

Pros It literally zaps away zits and gives your face a matte look. It fades red marks very well. It is in NO WAY oily at all. It is amazing!
Cons It can be a little drying and does not moisturize very well. HOWEVER, I'd rather have good skin with SOME flakes than bad skin with no flakes.
Bottom line I've been using aloe vera gel for about a week now and IT HAS BEEN AMAZING. So amazing that I decided to write a review for it even only using it for a week.

I tried using the DKR, but after a while, I noticed that the BP was making my skin look uneven and wasn't improving my acne that much. My skin is very oily as well, so it was really hard to find a moisturizer that wouldn't leave my face all shiny.

Right now, I use my own regimen that includes washing my face with Cetaphil, using a 50/50 Apple Cider Vinegar to tone, and moisturizing with Aloe Vera Gel. The ACV is great because it balances your skin's pH levels and has helped with my skin's oil levels. I used to wake up in the morning with tacky skin, but ever since I started using ACV, its been much better. The Aloe Vera Gel is perfect for me because it doesn't leave my skin shiny and it does a great job controlling my acne. It is also amazing with red marks. I HIGHLY Recommend that people with oily skin try this re
