|---|---|
| Cons | a little red for a few days and it is a bit painfull but no pain no gain |
| Bottom line | haveing tried many different treatments for slight acne scaring including 2 exoderm peels and 1 cool touch laser .I have to say this treatment is by far the best i have tried with results i could have only dreamed of i have had 5 fraxel restore treatments spaced 4 weeks apart did not see much inprovement after 2-3 treatments but treatments 4-5 i really could see a big inprovement it has really changed my life and i feel so confident with the way my skin looks now with everybody telling me how good i look |

| Pros | The skin felt a little smoother but no visible changes after the first treatment. |
|---|---|
| Cons | painful but can be tolerated...the thing i find the most annoying is the brown crusty layer left on my face after the trearment |
| Bottom line | swollen for 1.5 days - red for 1 day...brown for a long time. My face does not shed dry skin easily - i feel like i have a mask of brown crust on my face which won't come off. I cannot scrub my face as it is not recommended - i hope this goes away soon...its been 5 days since my 2nd fraxel treatment. would i recommend it? that's really undecided... any help on getting rid of the crust wud be appreciated! |

| Pros | skin looks great for at least two weeks, but that's because its still swollen. I have had at least six fraxels done for acne scarring over the last year, but scars are still present. There is little improvement, but very minimal. I expected MORE. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Skin looks great the first two weeks and after that, it goes back to the way it was before you completed........ |
| Bottom line | I have read so many reviews on the website and seems that I have not been one of those fortunate ones to see immediate results after the third or fourth. Or, may be that my scars (which are on my cheeks) are too deep?? But, I do have one more fraxel treatment next month.....which will probably be my last one...... |

| Pros | My pores are signifacantly smaller and my skin is less oily. Acne scars are still visible but less severe. |
|---|---|
| Cons | The procedure was extremely painful at higher energies. However, the pain only lasts during the procedure. Numbing cream and pain killers are a must! |
| Bottom line | After 5 treatments with microdermabrasions in between, I am satisfied with the result. I don't have baby smooth skin but that is an unrealistic expectation. I may follow up with some deep chemical peels for remaining scars. |

| Pros | Not sure yet. I've just had fraxel co2 done...for moderate acne scars on my cheeks..... |
|---|---|
| Cons | So far you are homebound for at least 4 days. Red face, not socialising....Itchy face, constant application of post laser gel to keep the face moist....A bit of pain during treatment, my doctor used nerve blockers which helped alot. |
| Bottom line | Well, the bottom line... I have had 4 fraxel restore treatments done resulting in less down time then fraxel re:pair...After the 4 treatments I have seen minor results with my scars, maybe softening my scars a bit but nothing major...This is my second Fraxel Re:pair co2. The first one was on a coverage of 25% and the results were good but not fanastic. Alot more down time, get nerve blockers for this treatment...My second one which I got done 4 days ago was on a coverage of around 65%. This will be my final attempt to minimise my acne scars and hopefully with the more aggressive coverage the results will match..I'll keep you updated in a couple of weeks...Hope this helped...I paid $800 for this final treatment... |

| Pros | It's only been a week, very happy so far! I didn't take any anti-inflammatory meds on purpose. Swollen for 4 days, every AM eyes swollen shut, but that resolved after drinking and a few hours up. |
|---|---|
| Cons | NOT for dark skin. Expect to not look presentable for almost a week. Don't take anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, advil, motrin, steriods, etc.before or after. No help for headache! Try to stay indoors, moisturize, sunblock, do not scratch. |
| Bottom line | Very happy w/ 1st treatment. Think my face different than most. I'm 39, hardly ever in sun. Tons blotchy freckles, some green + some Rosacea. Pores so large, small amounts makeup look caked. Cheeks w/white-puffy scars+cottage-cheese skin texture, no clue?(Had mild/mod acne,BUTusually NOT that area) After 1 treat: 4 days dry/swollen/itchy.Looked like Miss Piggy or the Mumps) Daily small puss filled pimples, mostly on chin, popped, neosporin applied. (Think were future pimples on the way) Day 5, rubbed about half of the freckles off w/ dead skin ! White puffy scars look half as noticable. Day 6, cottage-cheese skin almost looks normal and smooth! Don't have any eye wrinkles... so, no info there. 4 forehead wrinkles & laugh lines about the same.Hoping next 3 treatments will help + , remove the remaining freckles + totally fix cottage cheese area. VERY HAPPY - BUT: no life all week - feel run-down, tired. 4 days skin looked scary, super itchy. $2600 sale price 4 treatmen |

| Pros | my treatment was for fine lines(from sun worshipping) and I couldn't believe how great the finally results were although I noticed improvement immediately (after a week)but my face got better as time went on..i love it love it love it!!!! 44yrs. old |
|---|---|
| Cons | looking like a sun-burned chipmonk on steroids(puffy cheeks and eyes) but thank God that was only for a few days |
| Bottom line | even though its concidered expensive, I think in the long run, I probably saved money becus I was spending a fortune on expensive cosmetics and so called miracle creams for fine line. This was a sure deal for me and I got three other people loving it.I do it once a year for a fresh up. I used alot of ice on the face the first two days, benadryl for swelling and itchiness and vitamin c and e daily for healing. Sleep w/ your head elevated the first 2 nights for it really does help w/ the swelling. One of my four treatments was intense and I did blister, crack, to put it bluntly I looked God-aweful scary so if you get a very intence treatm't you may want a back up "perscription" ointment. It works like a miracle only wish I knew that at the time. But of course discuss this w/ ur Doctor. Best of luck to all :) |

| Pros | Not sure yet |
|---|---|
| Cons | A little redness and swelling |
| Bottom line | So....I just had my 4th Fraxel treatment and I am a little red and swollen but nothing like others have described. Makes me think that maybe it is not working?? I have had very slight improvement so far but my doctor is encouraging me to do at least 6 treatments. Should I be more red, swollen and flakey?? My doctor uses the Fraxel II machine and the level is 45. She said that is pretty intense. Any thoughts? Funny that I want to be more red, swollen and flakey...I think it is more reasurrance that it is working. I will keep you all posted on my progress! Thanks everybody for sharing! |

| Pros | Like the fact that it is non-ablative. |
|---|---|
| Cons | If you think fraxel is bad, try a C02 recovery. All laser treatments are so overpriced! Painful too! |
| Bottom line | HAD TO MENTION- fraxel truly truly takes time. A year AFTER my second fraxel, I've noticed that the cheek scarring appears less severe. My face has more of a face shape, instead of a plump thick mass of scar tissue. It just takes time. BECAUSE I see results, I am going in for a third. I'm not looking forward to the procedure or cost, but I want to look like the normal pretty girl I am, so here I go again. |
