| Pros | Can't think of any at the moment |
|---|---|
| Cons | Hurts, does not work, is expensive, can leave your skin red (for a year and more!). Pigmentation problems, sensitive skin, appearance of new spots that leave new scars. |
| Bottom line | I had 4 treatments before I had to stop. My skin got so sensitive that I had to stop using my regular acne treatment lotions etc. Still can't use anything too strong and it's been a year since the treatments! I now have pigmentation problems and an extremely sensitive skin. After the treatments my face was as bad as it was when I was a teenager, with lots of new spots that left new scars (AND I did not get rid of the old ones with fraxel either!). The color of my face is still darker than my neck (which wasn't treated). I hoped that fraxel would help my scar issues, but I just wasted my money and now my face looks even worse. With many people praising this treatment, I just want to warn everyone, that side-effects like this can happen to you too. The doctor who treated me was reputable and knew what he was doing... it's just that the treatment doesn't work as well as we all would want it to. Good for anyone who finds fraxel to be ok. For me it was waste of money and worse. |

| Pros | Not sure yet - just had it done today. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Expensive but if it works, worth it. |
| Bottom line | I bought a series of 3 in which I got my hands and earlobes done for free. It cost me about $3100 for three and I also purchased oxygenation treatments after each one. Did not realize that I would hurt so much but am hoping for good results. Have a great doc and based on the pain, I should have great results (lol). The doctor gave me avene spray, a liquid cleanser and bio2 cosmoceuticals balm. My husband left for Munich this afternoon so I can concentrate on healing. |

| Pros | almost 98% of my scars were gone, it was like i was given a new face. absolutely loved it |
|---|---|
| Cons | Hurt, a lot. Took about a solid week to completely recover. MY face is still a little redder than the rest of my body now. Also, after a few weeks I was breaking out again. |
| Bottom line | If I could do it every month, I would. I've done 5 treatments. each one was 750. and i got the 5th for free. still makes it far too expensive to keep doing. |

| Pros | Considering I have only been once, i'm yet to experience any pros. I have olive skin and obviuosly, it is harder to treat acne scars |
|---|---|
| Cons | It may just be me, because i'm ALWAYS analysing my skin, but there seem to be a couple of extra scars on my cheeks |
| Bottom line | Well, i'm 24, and only in the past 6 months have acne scars overridden my cheeks. To think that i used ot have amazing healthy skin and now this makes me extremely self-conscious. I have had one Fraxel treatment almost 2 months ago with no improvement what-so-ever. I have spoken to my Cosmetic Dermatologist about it, and she deeply recommends patience (something i unfortunately lack). I have another session booked the day after tomorrow, and i will politely ask her to amp it up a little. i really want to start seeing results! I need to feel attractive again! I'm praying to works, and i will get back to you all in a few days |

| Pros | Works beautifully! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Come on people, I would have walked through fire to get rid of my acne scars, so really what are the cons? Itching tight skin,a little swelling that actually fills out my face nicely and I kindof like that-I won't complain about any of it. |
| Bottom line | Here are tips for getting through fraxel with better results and I promise you this works. This cleared up my after fraxel breakouts and those pin-point bumps in about two days. It makes skin glow and tightens and softens pores and scars. Wash your face with plain baking soda and water. Do not scrub. This will naturally exfoliate the skin as it cleans and balances the ph levels. Next, in a very small bowl put together equal parts of the following: Honey, cinnamon and sea salt, and then just a splash of ORGANIC apple cider vinegar and pure lemon juice. Make a paste and spread it on your face like a mask. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.Rinse face with tepid water and pat dry. Spritz face with Organic Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice.Dilute in a little water if it stings.Leave it on the face. Next drink 1 Tbls. Organic ACV in a little water (chase with more water cause its yucky). Do this morn. and night. This works from the inside out. See "earth clinic" on the web for more inf |

| Pros | My scars were mostly on the cheeks and temples, mostly rolling with a few ice pick. I can see a big difference. My settings were high and I did take pain medicines. I was told the final result will not be seen for 6 months. Very encouraged. |
|---|---|
| Cons | I had redness and swelling for 2 days, puffy eyes for 3-4 days. I had a lot of heat in my face for about 1 hour after the treatment. Flaking was bad the 3rd day but then skin was great. Lots of moisturizer used. |
| Bottom line | My MD has a lady RN that does packages( 3 treatments for 3300) and does a lot of the acne scar patients. She seems to be very knowledgeable about the treatments and also how it works to do what it is suppose to do. I have 2 more scheduled and look forward to them. I recommend it to all my friends, even those that dont have scars, as the literature says it helps with texture, fine lines and pigmentation. |

| Pros | Not much pain during treatment (only a prickly sensation I found as she was treating my cheeks it hurt more on the outer areas, but not too badly). |
|---|---|
| Cons | I think it is quite expensive, i only had cheeks done and for 3 treatments it's cost me £900. |
| Bottom line | DAY 1 : I've just had Fraxel laser (Reliant technology) done today at a very reputable firm. The lady was friendly and I did not feel much pain during the procedure. After the treatment she put sunblock SPF 30 on my face and told me not to go in sun without it as my face will darken...it was sunny outside and I had to wait for my dopey friend to get back to the car, I stood in shade after being in the sun for a few minutes...hopefully I was protected and no damage was done. My swelled up slightly with the gel to numb my skin...but this is normal - the gel was on for 1hr 15 mins. After procedure my face was redish and swollen slightly and I have 3 darker patches under my eye on the cheek and the others around my chin area where I had eczema (i'm hoping this will make no diff as I did used to have discoloured skin here).it's 5 hrs after treatment and swelling has gone down a lot. Will keep this updated. |

| Pros | Your apparence improves 10 fold |
|---|---|
| Cons | Downtime, itch, dry skin. |
| Bottom line | On my first 2 treatments I followed the instructions for after care to the T....alas! expensive after care did not work, on my third one I was itching so bad I could not take it anymore and went to the pharmacy and bought a cheap remedy...I was able to go thru the 5 treatments after that......trick? olive oil for the dry skin (over and over after treatment and for the next 3 days; I went Fridays and resumed work on Monday nearly normal) take an antihistamine immediately after treatments.......cool your skin with either cold compresses or just a bag of frozen peas wrapped on a thin film..and keep the olive oil on and on........the antihistamine and ice will keep the swelling to a reasonable look, if you must, do it again the next 2 days. |

| Pros | My third treatment was yesterday. Since I look at my face everyday I haven't noticed a great difference, but my friends all agree it's doing a wonderful job. I am happy with the tone of my skin - no more red spots. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Everyone should know this isn't considered a "one time" treatment that will fix up your skin. I paid for 4 treatments. After my last appointment, the results will continue as the treatment heals my skin for several months. |
| Bottom line | There is no telling how your skin will look after one treatment. 6 months from now, I expect great results as it continues to work deep under the surface of my skin. The swelling and peeling last 4 days. It's worth it. |
