Pros:easy to take and you don't have to cake your face in creams or take a bunch of Rx pills
Cons:The taste was a little difficult to get used to, but now I don't mind it at all. I got the lemon flavored from Spectrum.
Bottom Line:It really works. Shocking for me since I'm 21 and have been going to dermatologists since I was 11. I've been prescribed everything from differin gel, retin-A, antibiotics and a Dr. even suggested accutane!

I used it for about a week before I went to go get a hair cut and the hairdresser and I started talking about acne. She asked me "What are you using for your skin because it looks like it's healing?" This is the first time I had ever met the women and I was elated that my skin was actually making progress and it was noticable!

I'm still using it every day. I try to space it out to a teaspoon every couple of hours (3 times a day). I still do get acne, but it's not the enormous cysts that I used to get. They only pop up after wearing makeup for too long or forgetting to take the flax seed oil consistently.

I still have to stick to a routine (as i did with clearasil and neutrogena) but I'd rather it be a healthy one, rather than applying chemicals to my skin every

Pros:I have tried this and find it has great results. After a year of testing vitamins I am now giving to my two teenage children too.
Cons:Have been told capsules don't work so well but I found them ok but now changing to oil.
Bottom Line:I have dedicated quite a few pages of my site [link removed] to acne and how vitmains have helped. Can send free documents I have to anyone who requests them. Take a look. No cost.

Pros:At first, seemed to help reduce inflamation of pimples (supposed to have anti-inflammatory properties). Affordable, natural, and great for your body in many ways and for health in general.
Cons:Not sure to what degree this works in the "long run". Hard to determine what the right dosage is that works best.
Bottom Line:Recommend it for general health and it did seem to help reduce the pimples when I first started using it. Will keep using it anyway most likely.

USAGE: I take 3-4 pills of it daily, one or two with each meal.

Only time will tell if it works for you "in the long run".

Bottom Line:i started using flax oil and it seemed to be working after a few days but then i broke out kind of bad. however i found out that if youre supplementing EFAs then you need to cut out all hydrogenated oils (cookies, chips, popcorn, fried food etc) or youre acne may get worse. so i'm going to continue with at least 2 tbsp per day and try and eat pretty healthy for the next few weeks and i'll update on my progress then

Pros:Nothing-----yet
Cons:tastes awful (although I mix it with juice/smoothie; I've used it for over 3 weeks and my acne is at an all time high; I'll try it for another 3 weeks cuz I'm persistent (like my acne!)
Bottom Line:I'm not giving up yet.

Bottom Line:This has been great for me. I just had a baby and have been battling with bad breakouts. I am breastfeeding so I wanted to use the most natural products. Not only has this almost cured my acne, it is suppose to benefit the baby when taken while breastfeeding. Even if it doesn't help your acne your skin will feel better. I also think there are too many benefits not to keep it in your diet.

Pros:This works.Really does clear the face.
Cons:none.
Bottom Line:The thing you got to is..take the liquid flax seed oil.I took the pills and they did not work.Take the liquid.I take around 12-16 thousand mg of flax seed oil.Just around 2 spoon fulls of it.Make sure you take it with your food.I have seen better results that way.I also started to eat tuna 2 or more times a week.That also did wonders for me.Just give it time.I have been on flax seed oil for about 2 months now.My face is cleared right up.

Not too sure if it helps with acne, but it makes my skin GLOW, seriously!!! Flax is also supposed to help with other stuff so even after accutane I think I'll keep taking it.

I have a flaxseed/primrose oil mix and I've only been taking 1 tbsp for a little over a week and my skin's texture is smoother and it looks brighter. I also put tea tree oil directly on any scars that I have and they are reducing in appearance, add pure milk thistle to my beverages twice a day and I take 50 mg of zinc and a B-complex supplement daily as well. So far I haven't had any new breakouts and my skin looks better than it ever has in a VERY long time. I'd suggest using natural products versus harsh chemicals any day.

So far so good.I have been taking the oil for about a month now.I started off with the pills but now I moved to the liquid.Works alot better then the pills.This really helps you skin.Worth a try!
