| Pros: | It really helped to balance out the oil production in my skin. I have noticed great improvements in my skin since I started taking it. |
| Cons: | The taste is a little hard to get used to, but I take 2 Tbsp. of the highest lignan oil daily and chase it with a drink. |
| Bottom Line: | I am an esthetician in a medspa in chicago and I began using flax for it's health benefits. When I started noticing improvements in my skin I started having some of my client use it and I continue to see great results and improvements in their skin. |

| Cons: | isn't enough to cure acne alone |
| Bottom Line: | i've seen my skin glow inside out. but flaxseed alone won't cure your acne but certainly help with combined therapy (other acne products) |

| Pros: | Flax seed is so healthy for you, despite what it may or may not do skin wise. I know I am getting plenty of Omega 3's now, which is difficult to consume in today's world. |
| Cons: | I do not use the oil since I can not tolerate the oily consistency and smell. The capsules are not worth taking since you have to take so many more to equal the value of the oil. |
| Bottom Line: | I have been using ground flax seed for the last few months as part of my new regime to take better care of my skin. It is more cost effective and not bothersome to me at all to consume as opposed to the oil and capsules available. I just sprinkle some on top of my yogurt or cereal daily (a total of 1T daily). I drink lemon water, use lemon juice topically, add flax seed to my diet, and follow the cleansing advice from this web site precisley. I have stopped taking my amoxicillan capsules and have mostly clear skin now. I am thrilled !! I am in my late 30's and have had moderate but very consisten acne since I was 13. I had medical treatment a few different times through my adult years. Only antibiotics would clear me up, the topicals were really useless to me. Since I knew I could not remain on medication too long, I felt doomed to have bad skin forever. It is a horrible feeling ! I am grateful and feeling like I have finally let a major worry in my life go. Amazing!! I am not a bad |

| Pros: | Cheaper supplement, easy to take. Helps with appetite, constapation! - Gone |
| Cons: | Acne returns, especially around hairline and nose. Feeling slightly too hot, flushes have returned! Supposedly a milder estrogen? |
| Bottom Line: | Helped with blood sugar levels and bloating/constipation, therefore beneficial for IBS, even possibly endometriosis, as inflamatory action..still thinking about this one though.
Think if you are female 40plus experiencing symptoms of estrogen dominance, stay clear!
Not helpful for acne rosacea.
Read that lipase supplement maybe beneficial for those suffering with acne rosacea;- However digestive enzymes may help when;-supplementing with EFA's if acne occurs. possibly larger doses of HCI if flaxseed/fish oils cause breakouts?
Must say since taking a broad spectrum digestive enzyme, acne etc. has improved...

| Pros: | Relatively cheap in the grand spectrum of skincare products. Easy to use/consume. And WOW it has a ton of Omega-3's in it! |
| Cons: | The taste is pretty gross, even if you mix it with food. |
| Bottom Line: | I think this is great for people who suffer from hormonal acne since flax seed oil balances your hormone levels. My skin is very bright, even hair and nails have improved. I've been taking 2 TBSP a day: I just drink it from a tablespoon and chase it down with a beverage. When I stopped taking it, the breakouts came back. If you've spent a lot of time and money hunting for the best thing for your acne, this is at least worth a try. The added health benefits are a huge bonus as well. |
