I started putting ground flaxseed on my oatmeal every morning and within 3 months my skin has been transformed. Not only am I free of zits, but the skin all over my body is very soft. I use the ground flaxseed that is in the airtight packs from the health store, so it stays fresh longer (it should be kept in the fridge). the other effect that it had was an increase in bowel movements. It keeps me "very regular" - twice a day. Better out than in!

I've had persistant acne for years, I'm just now learning enough about my skin to know what to do. I've been taking at least 1,000 mg of flaxseed oil, 25,000IU of vitamin A (only for one month then drop it to 10,000IU, and not for pregnant women). B-complex with at least 50 mg of B6, 1,000 mg Vitamin c, 30 mg zinc WITH COPPER (2mg), and 3,000mg of evening primrose oil. I got this information from a Reader's Digest Vitamin and Herbs book. It seems to be working better than any topical product that I've tried. I've been using tea tree or lavender oil on the visible bumps and they seem to go away so much faster. I finally feel like I'm getting this under control after 6 years of feeling embarrassed of my face. I truly hope this helps someone because sometimes it feels like clear skin is only for peoplewho are well off but the rest of us do have some hope.

Flax seed oil provides good fat among other things and should always be taken, not just as acne treatment

I've been taking two tablespons of Flax Seed Oil for two months now and not only my acne dissapeared, I lost five pounds without trying it! The thing is, I noticed that my apetite is suppressed. I believe it's the miracle of Flax. I also noticed that if I forget to take my two tablespoons of flax a pimple os bound to appear on my face. I am more careful now, and take a tablespoon in the morning upon waking, and a tablespoon at night with dinner. I'm used to the taste now, it's such an incredible stuff,I'm loving it!

I've been trying the capsules for a week now and I'm seeing benefits, my skin is softer but still not totally clear. I don't know weather the oil or capsules are better, but the capsules are way easier to take, 4 a day is what I'm on at the mo, might up it to 5 though.
I definately would give this a go. Even in conjunction with other meds. ie the pill

I have only been using this product for a few days but already it seems to be making a difference. My advice would be to take this oil - it also has lots of other health benefits.

Flaxseed oil has almost completely cleared my skin. The key is to take enough of it. I used to take 4 capsules a day and had only mild improvement. Now I take a tablespoon of the liquid kind (14 grams). I mix it with yogurt and can barely taste it. It works by thinning out the oily sebum which reduces clogged pores. I found out about it on [link removed]. Its a really good website if you want to read up on natural remedies for all kinds of stuff.

since coming off Dianette BCP have been supplementing with Evening Primrose Oil and Flaxseed oil to regulate hormones. From previous expereriences of coming off the pill I get cystic outbreaks within 3 months. This time round so far so good, have been off the pill for 4 months and fingers-crossed no painful spots yet (but still get spots though not as bad- whiteheads and go v.quickly) and periods are as regular as when on the pill. My advice is try it, what do you have to lose?

OMG! This flax seed oil REALLY works. I have had terrible breakout since last September so much so my whole face was covered with big & small acne. starting November, I tried Dan's regimn point to point for two months, but didn't seem to be working like it did to other ppl. Early Febuary i still had many acne though mostly 80% clear, then I remembered I had started eating flax seed oil in mid January. That's it. Acne went only because of the oil. To prove it i took the risk and stopped the regimn completely. And i still haven't broke out(in late march).
there's nothing like it.

Give it a try, it's natural, besides our body needs Omega 3 fatty acid because it cann't make it itself.

I also use glycolic acid cream 10% so that pores can stay clear. on top of that Aveeno's Positively Radient SPF 15.
I am planning to use aloe vera gel to clear up the marks.
