Pros: So easy to take, doesn't upset my stomach even without eating... so easy that I often take six pills a day. My skin improved... fast. Cons: Sometimes I burp with a fishy aftertaste. Bottom Line: I saw an improvement in less than a week... I have been taking them religiously with one zinc pill per day and following the regimen... under two weeks and I have no acne... have even felt comfortable not wearing make-up in front of family at least, just have to get rid of spots leftover from acne. But even with marks my skin has a healthy look to it... You really have nothing to lose, they're cheap and good for you... Recommended: Yes Usage: Cari has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: Works wonders. It had indirectly helped heal my acne. Cons: None for me. Though its likely that there will be a little excess gas being made, when you first start taking the supplements. Bottom Line: Its GLA (gamma linoleic acid), an Omega-6 fatty acid, that is really helpful for acne. Look for a product high in GLA. Borage Oil is high in GLA. Pros: Easy to take. works !! Cons: no cons. whats so hard about taking a pill ? Bottom Line: I have been taking 2 every evening with my dinner and I have been getting compliments on my skin already. Pros: None Cons: I got sick of drinking it and had to keep going to the toilet LOL> Bottom Line: This did nothing for my skin, it cleaned out my system, e.g. hundreds of trips to the loo, but nothing more. Pros: The only thing that cleared up my acne! Cheap, too. I buy the bottle of 90 pills for $8 from Trader Joe's. Cons: Fishy smell and fish burps from the pills can be avoided by putting the pills in the freezer. Bottom Line: I've tried everything and this is the only thing that has worked for me! My #1 recommendation: BE PATIENT. It took me 3 months of consistent use to see results, but it was totally worth it! I don't even wear foundation anymore - I'd been wearing foundation 24/7 since I was 13: I had to! Looking back at old pictures from 4 months ago, I don't even recognize my skin. Pros: It has definitely helped my dry skin... my face was pretty bad all my life and now I actually have a reason to wash it. I don't mind washing off healthy skin oil versus scrubbing off dry skin. Bottom Line: Good stuff for skin and body imo. It was reccomended to me for my weight gaining (healthy weight gain) diet and I've noticed a dramatic change in my dry skin and hair. Pros: Very Beneficial Cons: Not noticably great for acne Bottom Line: I've been taking this for so long that I am not sure if it has any effect on acne. But, what I do know s that Omega-3 is one of the most beneficial nutrients out there. It has been linked to preventing cholesterol problems, heart disease, arthritis, Alzhimers, depression, and even violent tendancies in one study. The US Institute of health has evidence for over 30 benefits of fish oil, and more are being discovered every day. So, you should take it. Recommended: Yes Was this comment helpful?
