Pros:clears skin to a certain extent, depuffs face and lost weight
Cons:after a few weeks spots started to come back.
Bottom Line:when ever i get bad skin the bacteria seems to make my face and nose go all puffy aswell, and after 1 week of taking this it had totally had de-puffed which i thought was really good! and skin wasnt greasy either.i found after the first few months of taking them my skin really improved 75% but after 3 months once the body had got used to them i started to get spots coming on my neck and painfull ones which i thought was wierd coz i never get spots there usually.so i stopped taking them for a couple of weeks to give system a break and have started again and all my spots seem to be clearing up..i have taken these pills a few times now and they always seem to clear my skin and i would say my acne can be quite bad,and ive always struggeled with weight going up and down and can deff say it makes me loose weight it does something where it makes you loose you taste buds i think which i think is good for me haha!!! but also make sure you wash ur face wheneva greasy and drink lots water xx

Pros:this worked for me, i have been on this since 2001 - now. that is about 8 years, and it helped slow down my acne, i got less acne now.
Cons:i have lost alot of weight, alot of people, including friends say this damges the liver, but i don't know what is true and whats not. i asked my doctor and he told me it doesnt do any damage to the liver.
Bottom Line:this has a very goos result, depending on what your lifestyle is, i dont know if i can tell you to go out anf get this. i eat very little, perhaps once a day, i am 24 and under 8 stone. very unhealthy, but i find it hard to eat, i dont know if this habbit has something to do with me taking this drug for the past 8 years, as my weight as decreased in that time. personally, i had a good result, over the last 8 years using this. but today i spoke to my doctor and started using DOXYCYCLINE, 2 times a day for the 1st day, then once a day after that. check back with my GP after a few months to see if this works.

Pros:Worked for 2 months.
Cons:Developed antibiotic resistance and had painful out breaks
Bottom Line:It worked for me for almost two months, and significant improvements were made by the med. However, until three weeks ago, the med stopped working, my acne came back and they are more painful and red then ever before. Now I am so embarrassed that everyone at my workplace is telling me to clean up my face :(.

Pros:Great, clears skin, best used as a topical. Very cheap!
Cons:If you apply too much topical (the more, the better though), it can make your face shiny/sticky. So don't apply as much in the morning.
Bottom Line:Get the solution, not the pill. The pill can wreak havoc on your digestive system. The solution is awesome though.

Pros:This is my day 6 of using this product and so far so good. I already see a huge difference in my skin. Spots are starting to fade already and I have no new pimples.
Cons:its a lil drying but the drying is a easy cure. After you apply the product , use a good moisturing over it. Ive been using vitamin E cream over it.
Bottom Line:Its works, and is worth a try.

Pros:Clears skin about 25%, and reduces how badly the cystic acne can get, but does not prevent breakouts.
Cons:Erythromycin taken orally can cause build-up of plaque and yellowing of the teeth, although not permanently. It also causes GI upset, and can affect blood sugar levels.
Bottom Line:I have been taking 500mg twice a day for almost 30 days for acne and perioral dermatis, and there is not been much of a noticeable difference in my skin. I continue to have breakouts and although the cystic acne flare-ups are not as severe I am continuing to have them. I am also using topical clindamycin lotion and trentinoin every other day, which is not improving my skin either. I am allergic to tetracycline and drugs or cleansers containing sulfates, so right now I am at a crossroads on what to do to improve my skin. I have adult onset acne, and have had clear skin all of my 40 years, so this is quite discouraging.

Pros:clears skin well and makes it look glowing and fresh
Cons:i took this antibiotic for 18months and it cleared my skin well however in this time i was also unaware of the very upsetting side effects it caused (explained below)
Bottom Line:i began taking these antibiotics twice a day for mild acne, it cleared my spots and made my skin clear overall. However during the duration of the course i began to gain weight slowly, bearing in mind that i am only 5"2ins! i started off weighing 7st9 (my recommended weight) and being a size 6 to 8, over the 18months, i became 8st5 and a size 10. i was very bloated, uncomfortable and could not eat what i wanted without it showing badly and resulting in a bloated tummy and a spare tyre!

this as you can probably imagine made me very upset, i had severe mood swings and nausea. after 18months i switched to tetracycline and went back down to 7st8 within 2 to 3 months, no bloating

recently i have tried erythromycin again and for the past month have gone back up to 8st, am bloated, and have not had my period. (which is extremely distressing and worrying). i am very very anxious as to whether the antibiotics are causing this and am going to my GP to try and switch back to tetracy

Pros:did see a difference in the number of spots i was getting they had reduced also made my skin look smoother.
Cons:the capsule version plays havoc with my stomache and makes me have stomach cramps. when you stop taking this medicine spots come back
Bottom Line:Try it, it takes a while to notice the effects but it does work. However get the pink tablet version and not the orange capsule. I take 2 x 250 morning and night.
