I had a bump that itched on my lower jaw July 2003, I rubbed it and next morning I had tons of bumps on my face. It is cystic acne, I thought it was mosquito bite. I tried this for a year July 2004, along with Avita (Retina A) and my face is so burned now, it swelled under my eye, look like someone hit me, and I had to go back to the doc for new meds. New med clindamyocin, in two days, swelling down and began to separate my pores, 2 weeks later got a rash and allergic. Back to drawing board. Seeing Dermo Doc. next.

I used the benzamycin and it burned my face! It irritated my skin very badly. I eneded up having to make an emergency trip to the doctor because my skin was burning and whatever I tried to put on it seemed to make it hurt worse....Anyways, to say the least I had a bad reaction to it.
I stopped using it, however my face got really clear for a little while after using it...it may be because it seemed to practically burn my skin off or something (it hurt that bad)

Great! Why do people say they get immune to the topical treatment. It dries up your pimple- how can you get immune to that. Well it works very well for my family and I. Good luck! Ask your dermatologist about it!

i was prescribed erythromicin, to be used alongside dienette (contraceptive pill) and diferin cream, my skin really cleared up with the red blotches and blemishes going, however after stopping the medication the whiteheads returned so i have to start all over again. erythromicine was prescribed on the nhs, so i paid £6.40 per month.
