Good stuff though didnt make too much of a difference. Doesnt seem to prevent pimples well but can make them less visable.

i used erythromycin about 2 years ago and it initially really helped with my acne, but then i started to build up a resistance to it and it soon had no effect whatsoever. ive tried tetracycline, zyneret, dalacin t, dianette and nothing has worked! its awful!!

Dried out most of my spots that formed but my skin on my face and hands especially was VERY, VERY DRY! and i was constantly having mild indigestion problems, doctors said that this wasnt because of the antibiotics - but it bloody was!
So for acne was ok but i wouldnt advise taking this as dermatitus might occur and it is just an uncomfortable if not more so!

works well if you are also on Differin or Retin-A. Can be drying.

I used this all through high school in conjunction with an oral antibiotic. It worked alright, but I still had break outs. I started on the pill (Diane 35 here) when I was 17 in conjunction with this product (Eryacne gel here) and it worked perfectly, in terms of no skin breakouts. Although, I had EXTREMELY sensitive skin at that time and I think it was a combination of the two doing that.
I think this is a great solution to a MINOR problem, but it really can dry your skin out and be aware, my boyfriend used to call it "boyfriend repellant" because it doesn't taste very good to kiss!!

I AM CURRENTLY ON ETHROMYCIN MIXED WITH THE 5% BENZOYL PEROXIDE TWICE A DAY AND RETIN-A MICRO AT NIGHT. IT WORKS GREAT YOU CAN REALLY FEEL IT CLEAN ON YOUR SKIN, I HAVE HAD A LITTLE PEELING FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS, BUT REALLY NO MAJOR DRYNESS OR BURNING THAT MEDICATIONS USUALLY GIVE YOU.
THE RETIN-A MAKES YOUR SCARES AND POURS SMALLER, AND THATS A PLUS! YEA I HATE ACNE!!!!

This medication was prescribed to me during my Accutane initial breakout. Even when I was able to keep it down (watch out for nausea), it really didn't seem to alleviate my cystic acne. I believe people with milder acne would have better results.
In addition, I recently came across a study that says sixty percent of patients taking Erythromycin built up a resistance.

I just started using it and I havent goten any acne yet. But for some reason I break out every other week I odnt understand why. THis week my face is completely clear I don tknow if is because of this medicine or cause of the week I'll see I really hope this works. I just hate acne so much if one day I get rich I'll invest a lot of money on the search for a cure to this [censored]. Grrrrrrrrrrr I just hate it.
