I Have been using Erythromycin(oral) and benzoyl peroxide (lotion) for 3 months and it has made a significant difference on my skin. I'm so happy!!! Had really bad acne before but now my skin is almost completly clear! Yay!

I've had this stuff for around 2 and a bit months, and havent seen that much diffrence.
I used to have around 1 little pimple on my face, but a few months ago i started getting a few more - knowing that my dad and brother had very bad acne i quickly went to the doctor who prescribed this.
I went back a month later, telling him that it hadn't worked, and he suggested me taking it in the oral form, but i wanted a dermatologist.
I had my referal letter, and went to see the derm, but he said i needed longer for it to work and telling me it wasnt that bad because most of my friends have it too.
Well hes wrong, im the only one in my group who has "mild acne" (about 4 pimples and lots of under the skin spots on my forehead).
Now im coming up to 3 months, and my acne hasnt been that bad, but that may be cos im not on my period as it seems to go really bad before then.
I do feel bad about complaining, especially when i see people in my school who have acne way way way worse than me. It's just, i am very self concious about it - i used to have a great life, and now my friend group at school is splitting, im im left redunt behind it all, so im stressed - maybe thats making my spots worse.
But i just wish it would work quickly! x x

I used "Zineryt" - its a liquid with erythromycine and it worked mostly when i started but not so much, and after a month the effect almost faded away. it created many scars in my face .

Im 20yrs old, I was subscribed this from my doctor but in Pads, well I used it for about 5 days. At first it worked but made my skin itch, then it got worse, it made my skin so red it looked like I had a bad sunburn. I wouldnt use this again, plus my pads would dry out shortly after I just start applying it to my face.

I had moderate zits in high school and I took ERY pills for about 3 years. It worked well until my body became immune...after about the third year it stopped working. It makes your stomach hurt when you first start taking it, I recommend eating before taking it. After you've been on it awhile the stomach pains go away. I have normal-oily skin, so I broke out mainly in chin area. I recently got another prescription of this stuff for emergency break outs...it cleared up my zits.

used everything there is so try.

was using neutragina acne wash for 2-3 years until it stopped working. then went to tetraclyin that didnt work. then i tried benzyclen that worked wonders for a while until i smoked some weed and it stopped working. then went on accutane and that was assume even tho it fu,ked me up. that 2 didnt last long 6 months after i was off my acne came back in a irritating way ( no breakouts until 1 year).

now givin this and i think its helping but it does nothing for breakouts it just kills infections even tho i dunno if its doing that either.

been using it for a month and i would say 5% improvement.

whats a agreeability?

35 yr. old male and for some reason acne has returned with a vengence. been on all types of over the counter meds and even prescription meds in the past. the 1 combo that seemed to work for a while was doxycylin oral & clindamycin topical & retin-a topical. then ran out of refills and/or thought everything was a-ok (still had half bottle full of oral meds). after a year of clear skin outbreak started again and leftover meds didn't seem to work. must have built a resistance and finally went back to try tetracyclin. sucker just made me sick and no improvements. after 6 months went back and was prescribed erythromycin. no upset stomach but...3 months later outbreak WORSE THAN EVER. cystic acne, whiteheads, red blotches all over and dark spots from ones that finally stopped. plus, they would rupture and return to the same lesion and face is sensitive to touch and itchy. returning to derma for advice and possibly change strategies. this is terrible....

I'm 21, have had acne for over 7 years and it is worse than ever so I just got prescribed topical 2% Eryacne about a week ago and I haven't seen much improvement although it could be too soon. I'm thinking of teaming it with BP now to see if that helps.

Hey, I'm 16 and I have had terrible acne for approximately 4 years now. Over the counter products for me are pretty useless, I understand what it feels like when you believe you have tried every possible treatment, so hang in there guys x . Patience is the key, in time you'll discover what's right for you.

I know this is a little early to rate his product as I am not 100% sure my results will improve futher, or will be of a long term effect from this oral antibiotic, but anyway. I've been on the oral capsules of Erythomicin for 5 days now, I had an appointment earlier this week with my doctor because I was desperate to see a dermatologist as I had one of the worst break outs so far and I had even taken days off school because I was so depressed as a result.

My doctor describes my acne condition as moderate, but around the time of my period my skin becomes really inflamed and I develop larger, irritated spots, so to me it appears to be quite severe at times.

I know treatments take time and patience but i've noticed nothing but positive results during my 5 days of intake. Inflammation has gone right down, the sore, larger spots have dried up, leaving red marks, but they disappear in time. I haven't really noticed many other spots forming but they have reduced in size, if not ceased to form dramatically. So fingers crossed it will continue to work effectively =) . I recommend it to those with 'angry', moderate acne.
