2% of Erythromycin in topical solution form did wonders to my skin during my high school years. I had acne free skin! High school years were great until after I was no longer covered by my parents' health insurance. After that, I didn't have access to Erythromycin anymore and the horrible acne came back. I am now 23 years old and am once again using the 2% Erythromycin solution after about 3 years of trying everything from Proactiv, AcneFree, Murad, etc. I have noticed that the Erythromycin does not work as well on me now as it did during my high school years. My body is probably becoming more and more resistant to Erythromycin which is very unfortunate.

I actually love the Erythromycin 2% topical gel. It works great. It seemed to work almost instantly and I had clear skin most of the time with the exception of the odd pimple here and there. The only problem that I have with the product is that when i ran out and didn't refill my prescription, the acne came back. Also, the smell of the product made me have to hold my breath when I used it and I definitely had to keep it away from my eyes so that I wouldn't start tearing. Overall, I think this product works though.

I have urticaria and cystic acne. I started using Erythoromycin 2% Topical just a few weeks ago. The results are amazing. I only use it once a day and not much of it. It's a shame that something that works so well has to be in prescription form though. How I wish someone would allow something that works so well be at least just something you signed for at the pharmacy counter.

I had very bad acne as a teeenager but it was treated and disappeared throughout my 20s. I am now 31 and it returned with avengence last year so I was put on Zinert topical. I have used it for 2 and a half months and it has cleared nearly all of my acne, my skin has not dried out because i use my normal moisturiser before i apply the lotion. I will run out in 2 weeks so don't know if the acne will come back! It has worked though, only problem being that it goes off and is foul if you put it on then, plus its very stinky normally.

worked well for about a week (like all products) and then worsened my acne. It gave me acne in places I've never had bad acne before and left horrible scars. I am on minocycline now and I am getting really fed up with antibiotics. I don't think the doctors who prescribe this stuff know anything about it or they would never give it out in the first place.

I've been using zineryt topical solution for about 2 years now...it took ages to get working but once it did I started having totally 'clear skin days' and don't we all love them? You'll still get the odd spot, but it works pretty well.

erythromicin, beware if you're sensitive to meds i took one dose 500mg with food and even yogurt to help with any stomach pain what a bad reaction i didnt know if i was going to faint be sick and the dizziness. so this was my second attempt first was minocin just dizziness. ladies get yourselves some of the aveeno brand skin creams regimen with salicylic acid and some good cosmetics. taking these antibiotics these days i think is tricky especially since you may need your system to react to them when it's really important.

Did not help at all. I used topical 2% twice a day for a month. Did not see any difference, just very dry, flaky skin - impossible to put any makeup on.
