I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now and I haven't seen any results yet. Right now all it does is just dry my skin out and it my face sting really bad! I can't even put anything on it cause it'll make it worse. I also take 100mg minocycline as an antibiotic 2x a day and I use Cetaphil face wash. Being on this pill has reduced the redness and pain of my pimples so that's the only Pro to my treatment right now. So far Epiduo isn't doing anything I just hope it kicks in soon.

Pros

  • None yet

Cons

  • Dries skin out
  • Stings really bad especially if you put on moisturizer
  • moderate
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 10
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I was prescribed this to take with my Accutane.I've been using this for about a month. My skin is sensitive,so I only use it every other night cause it dries skin out.I recommend moisturizing every other night and every morning, cause it is drying, and this is coming from someone with very oily skin.I mainly use it along my jawline because that's where I get cystic acne, and it has helped,I have broken out,but not as bad and it dries up my breakouts and has definitely helped my blemishes lighten.I recommend it,just moisturize!

Pros

  • Absorbs Quickly
  • No Odor/Smell
  • Helps Blemishes
  • Doesn't Stain(although they told me it would)

Cons

  • Dries Skin Out(Beware)
  • Stinging
  • moderate
  • for about a month
  • $ 25
  • I recommend using this treatment.

This product takes a very long time to work! And it makes you break out way worse before your skin even looks remotely better. It dries out your skin a lot so i would recommend a moisturizer to use day and night. Also, it doesnt work at all for me when im on my period. Which is awful. I wouldn't waste your money on this product, it can mess up your skin in the long run (lots of red marks and can irritate your whole face.)

Pros

  • absorbs quickly
  • only have to use at night
  • doesn't stain anything
  • not very expensive

Cons

  • dries out skin
  • takes a while to work
  • not very affective
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • $ 23
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I have used a lot of stuff, but non have been more effective or easy than Epiduo.

Pros

  • The best thing about Epiduo is its a gel. This makes it really EASY to APPLY and ABSORB thus it works well on the skin. Epiduo just works. It's a new product and thus represents the best research (which accounts for the effectiveness of the benzoyl peroxide/adapalene combination).
  • Lastly, it has the perfect amount of active ingredients- 2.5% bp, .01% adapalene, so it dosen't irritate and actually heals acne. Not only does it cure future acne, the current stuff looks better too.

Cons

  • When you begin Epiduo, start slow and use moisturixer. The benzoyl peroxide may otherwise dry or irritate, but this is only because Epiduo absorbs well and works.
  • light
  • for a few months
  • $ 35
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I've only been using Epiduo for 2 weeks now, and it's cleared up my acne really fast. BUT- It's dried out my skin, made it flake off, and stings like balls. It feels like I have a sunburn on my face. And when I put moisturizer on it, it stings even worse. I'm hoping it will go away, because my acne cleared up really well.

Pros

  • Clears acne fast!

Cons

  • BURNS like crazy!
  • moderate
  • for a few weeks
  • I recommend using this treatment.

The best and move effective acne product I've ever used, so far has done the best job out of anything I've used to clear up my acne. But you have to STICK TO YOUR REGIMEN. I almost lost hope too quickly and I've only been using it for about a month or so. I realized I have never really given any product any longer than 6 weeks to work when the product itself said that it would take at least 12 to work. I've been using this product for about 2 months now. If you stick to this product, It'll work.

My acne began moderately severe. I would say it's down to light.

Pros

  • Very effective, convient, apply to face once a day. It works and is easy to use, what else is there?

Cons

  • The first 2 weeks I experienced EXTREME stinging. Some nights I had to apply ice to some parts of my face because it was almost unbearable and made it impossible to fall asleep. That's really my only complaint.
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 35

I recommend this if you are very desperate to clear your skin. Epiduo REALLY burns though. But it works wonders. ;)

Pros

  • It cleared me up fast.

Cons

  • It burns like crazy! I got sick of the burning so I have switched to Proactiv which works just as well, without the burning!
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 90
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I would recommend to all wanting to use this product... or any other acne product, to give up on clearing your skin. You're just damaging your skin and walking around not knowing how bad these products make your skin look. Go on Accutane, get this acne crap over with so you can enjoy life. 100+ products later at only age 16, I realized that acne products really don't get you anywhere, they just waste your money and mess up your skin even more. See a dermo, get Accutane, be cured, be happy. Good luck everybody!

Pros

  • Only have to use it once a day.

Cons

  • Redness, peeling, dryness, stinging when I put MOISTURIZER over it, didn't work for me.
  • moderately severe
  • for about a month
  • $ 35
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I LOVED IT!

I only had very mild acne, with a few recurrent pimples on my chin. But Epiduo cleared it all up, and now my skin is clear and smooth.

The first week of redness and dry, peeling skin was hard to get through, but I am so glad I stuck it out because I have none of those problems now and my skin is clear after 3 weeks of use.

Think it is good for those with mild acne.

Pros

  • Completely cleared skin
  • Easy to use
  • Good value I think - you only need a little!

Cons

  • Initial redness and then dry skin and flaking for 7-10 days.
  • very light
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 10
  • I recommend using this treatment.
