Emu oil has worked well for me for the cystic acne breakouts I tend to get those times of the month when my hormones go crazy (i.e. ovulation and menstruation). The catch is, you have to put it on a few times a day. But I notice if I'm consistent about it the swelling goes down. No it doesn't disappear overnight but it does help. The downside of course is that it's pretty greasy so it's really impossible to wear under makeup. It also made my skin really soft as well.

Just plain did not work or help the acne nor the scar marks. Left my skin looking and feeling even oilier than it was, and that is saying something for me! May have even aggravated my breakouts. Plus for the animal conscious, this oil comes from the DEAD emu bird. You can tell too because it smells terrible while applying and wearing it- like bacon grease! Yes, I did buy from a reputable source! I found that out, AFTER I bought it. However, the emu is farmed for its meat, etc. and the oil is a byproduct. In other words, it is not like the animal is killed solely for its beauty product oil, but still....:O( Will never use it again.

Amazingly, did not break me out at all! I use it about once or twice a week at night after heavy exfoliation. My skin is nice and soft in the morning. It is absorbed very well. It doesnt do anything in terms of preventing or healing my acne, but its worth its price to get rid of that stripped skin/ tight feeling.

i bought this at [link removed]. i paid less than $10 for 2 ounces which is comparable with other spot zit treatments like clean and clear or clearasil which often cost $5 for 1 ounce. EMU OIL is NATURAL and works like nothing else i've tried to clear up existing acne of all sorts AND keep the skin relatively clear DESPITE the fact that it is a thick oil. A little goes a very long way too. I LOVE this stuff and it has become a staple skin care product of mine. For treating acne breakouts it is truly a miracle product.
