| Pros | clears hyperpigmentation from old scars, reduced dog attack scars, affordable, doesn't cause breakouts on my super sensitive skin, feels nice on the skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | um...its oily...yeah, because IT IS OIL |
| Bottom line | i have been using emu oil for about 3 weeks as recommended by my massage therapist for its anti-inflammitory qualities. it has not only reduced old scarring from acne, but has kept my comlexion even and mostly acne-free. i was using proactiv which was also helping--however, i was still getting cystic acne deep under the skin on my jawline (which was casuing scarring). since using emu oil, i have had only small surface zits-- that means less scarring in the future too. AND- i have been using it on my punture wounds on my arm from where a huge dog bit me a few months ago and the scars are not only lighter but softer too. just can't believe the answer to my problems is sooo cheap and so basic. I was actually considering laser treatments! |

| Pros | Softer skin; heals the skin deep better than anything I've seen. Also great for surgery scars and eczema. |
|---|---|
| Cons | The worst thing is that it is a bit oily when you first apply, but this goes away as long as you rub in enough and apply sparingly; a little goes a long way (though this really isn't much of a con). |
| Bottom line | I've been using this for little over a month now and the results are nothing short of amazing. I'm 22 and had dry redness and some superficial brown marks from old acne (marks seem to linger on my skin for like 2 years or so). However, within a week the redness was mostly gone and by week 3 about 60 % of these discoloration's were barely noticeable. Everyone should try this; I've told so many people about this and they all--that's right, every single one of them--said they will not be without this stuff. Now I can't vouch for how this works on recurring acne skin, but it surely does not increase acne in any way. If anything, it replenishes and moisturizing the skin making the skin more healthy and this alone should help acne or at-least make it appear far more manageable. Emu-oil is the best product I've ever used (and I've used lots of them). Buy it and you'll see. |

| Pros | It faded some of my spots really fast (And by spots I mean marks leftover from acne). |
|---|---|
| Cons | Didn't seem to help my existing acne...and didn't seem to prevent it either... So I still got pimples. |
| Bottom line | I noticed an improvement within a week.....Some marks afeded faster than other....and I guess thy are still fading... I worse it twice a day, in the morning/night. Seemed to help... I'll still have to get laser, but its helped. |

| Pros | cheap, works well, makes skin soft and smooth, good for all acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | can be a bit greasy at times. |
| Bottom line | I've been using this for less than a week and there are definite noticeable improvements! If you have lots of leftover marks like me, this is a good treatments. I only get like one or 2 little pimples lately, and I mix the Emu Oil with pure tea tree oil. It helps make your skin soft, and is much better for you than BP, which just made my skin feel burned. Good Emu Oil shouldn't smell at all. I picked mine up at a natural food store in central london. I accidently burned myself this afternoon trying to put hot soup in a blender. put on some emu oil and here i am, 5 hours later, no pain and no redness! |

| Pros | I wanted to wait a few weeks before I rated it - but the results after 1-2 days were amazing! It cleared me up, and any existing bumps. |
|---|---|
| Cons | None, zilch |
| Bottom line | I purchased a high grade product, and i mix 2-3 drops of emu oil with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil. I don't wear a moisturizer - just this mixture, and I really rub it in to my skin. It doesn't smell at all (the emu oil) and because I massage it in, it's not too greasy on my skin - I didn't have oily skin in the first place. I've struggled for a number of years, and while I'll need to give it 6 months before I'm satisfied that it really does work. Price quoted is in NZ dollars. |

| Pros | Excellent moisturizer, are slowly fading my red marks, have not had one breakout while using this oil. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smells funky, an army of ants somehow attacked my bottle (a disgusting site), now I must keep it in a ziplock bag. Has not done much for my shallow rolling scars. |
| Bottom line | I would purchase emu oil again. This is my first time using this product and my skin feels so amazingly soft. I thought I would breakout with this oil but to my suprise, I haven't at all. I can wear it under my makeup, but after 30 min my face starts looking really shiny so I'd rather not keep reapplying makeup, so I choose to use it only while staying home or before bed. |

| Pros | calms skin reduces redness overnight makes crows feet appear less noticeable |
|---|---|
| Cons | none |
| Bottom line | Emu oil should be white and creamy with no odour. If yours has an odour, it is not of good quality. Spend the extra $ for the good stuff. Also, a little goes a long way. Only use a tiny bit at night. My face is never greasy when I go to bed because I massage only a small amount into my skin using my ring finger for my whole face, not just around my eyes. I had redness and peeling from doctor presc. acne medication. The stuff was too harsh for my sensitive skin. My face was raw and tight. I used emu oil for one night and my face was significantly better. Also, after only 2 nights, my active lesions are a lot less "hot". I'm hooked. |

| Pros | Fantastic moisturisation, makes my skin plump and calms down my facial redness and irritated areas of damaged skin. The best product I've ever used for healing my skin! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smells like a hamster cage (!) although I don't find it smells once applied. It's a bit greasy. |
| Bottom line | I use Emu & Manuka oil from [link removed] and had excellent results in just a few weeks. By no means a miracle cure, but worked better for me than any chemical based product. According to Mezza, Emu oil contains Vitamins A&E, sapogens (skin softners), Omegas 3,6&9, terpines (antiseptic agents)& Oleic Acid (skin regenerator). It's hypo-allergenic (great for my hyper-sensitive skin), anti-inflammatory (I use it after lightbox therapy to calm down any redness) and very moisturising. The Emu oil isn't preventative as such, but the added Manuka oil is 33 times stronger than tea tree oil and both are very calming, whereas tea tree products sting my skin. I apply a thin layer with clean fingers after washing my face, and a thicker layer at night, focussing on heavily damaged areas. I use it under everyday minerals makeup as the powder reduces the shine. Never had a breakout or purging from emu & manuka oil :) |
