Pros: really works, natural, no chemicals Cons: quite greasy. funky wet dog smell when in the bottle Bottom Line: I used emu oil after my face was burnt by the spatter of hot oil and my face healed with not a single scar. great moisturizing, great for sunburn and for reversing early signs of aging. unless you have dry skin or live in an arid climate, best to use it only at night Recommended: Yes Usage: rhonda has used this item for a few months. Pros: none Cons: destroyed my face. made my face SO red and caused marks to worsen. it doesn't absorb well and stays yucky on your skin. I have dry sensitive skin by the way. Pros: Emu oil is a proven anti-inflammatory, with effects comparable to that of ibuprofen; a bacteriostatic, meaning that it does not promote the growth of bacteria;a highly penetrating oil that absorbs without leaving a greasy feel; and a non-comedogenic. Cons: 100% Emu Oil is very thick. Not all products are sourced from the actual animal. Is an animal bi-product. Bottom Line: Started getting pimples at age 10, got bad at age 12. Moderate acne consistently till 19 1/2. I'm 20. Don't have a pimple anymore Emu oil naturally contains Vitamin E, which is a major antioxidant and healing agent; Vitamin A, a known skin repairer and antioxidant; Linoleic acid, which helps to ease muscle aches and joint pain; Oleic acid, which is a proven skin cell regenerator and anti-wrinkle agent; Sapogens, proven skin softeners; and Terpines, known antiseptics You must get a product that is 100% emu oil. I add tea tree oil (however much you like) to thin the oil out. Tea tree oil application can be as beneficial as 5% Benzoyl Peroxide (just takes a little longer to see the effects) so this way its a treatment and a moisturiser. Tea Tree oil has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. But get the 100% tea tree oil from your Pharmacy not the mixed. Pros: none! Cons: made me break out like crazy. Bottom Line: if your skin type is oily, do NOT, i repeat, DO NOT use this stuff! it will just make your skin worse! it only works for people with dry skin! Pros: Non-irritating, moisturizes well, smooths out fine lines, diminishes undereye circles, heals skin injuries and scars, makes your skin glow Cons: The price. Bottom Line: When I used this my acne basically disappeared completely. It also got rid of the purpleness under my eyes and healed a chicken pock scar that I've had since I was 8 (I'm 24). Pros: Very good moisturiser, good for the complexion, gets rid of red marks Cons: Smells bad, Feels really oily Bottom Line: Very good product, just dont put it on in the morning or people will think you are sweating really badly, put it on every night. Pros: Reduces blemishes and redness Cons: Made my face dry for a few days, but it went away. Bottom Line: I wasn't sure if it would work. I have a lot of scarring from previous acne and I've pretty much tried everything! But I bought it anyway and I really like it. The redness in my face is going away and what acne I had when I first started using it is barely there. I have only had this product for a week but it seems to be doing the job. I will continue to use it and hopefully it keeps getting better and better. I bought the emu oil as well as the soap and moisturizing cream, that's why the price is a little higher. Pros: A little goes a long way! Reduces redness and scars, keeps my skin moisturized and looking good while on accutane. Cons: No cons, I love it. Bottom Line: I have not broken out from it, some people are concerned because of the texture, but it has antibacterial, inflamatory properties, so do not get discouraged by the fact that it feels oily, it is an oil. Pros: takes away the reddness good for scars makes complexion nice and smooth Cons: greasy when putting on it doesn't make active acne go down fast Bottom Line: I have had a problem with flaky skin - when I wash my face it dries it out and then when using a moistuizer it always seemed like it would break me out so I would try to just put moisturizer on my dry areas. Emu seems to fix this problem. Emu works well as a moisturizer. I decided to try it a little while ago and put it on my acne and different spots. It helps to moisturize my skin without breaking it out. I was surprised that when putting on a scar at night, in the morning the redness went down significantly.
