| Pros | You can really feel it working as it tightens on your skin, and I find this immensely satisfying Shrinks my monstrous pores Reduces redness of any acne Tones like a dream Prevents new acne CHEAP |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dryness which can, however, be combatted |
| Bottom line | After spending a significant portion of my teenage budget on the expensive and counterproductive acne washes my mother denied me (and so she should have) I am so stoked to have found this miracle cure. I leave the whites on for 15 - 30 minutes daily. I have dry skin so I find it best to mix the egg whites with honey, as previous posters have suggested. After the wash I spread the yolk on my face, also mixed with honey, which acts as an effective moisturizer if left on skin for around 10 minutes. If you don't have dry skin you can skip the yolk, although I find it not only moisturizes but also softens the skin which makes it a fun little post-miracle step. Thank you chickens, I owe you one. |

| Pros | *Makes my skin glow. *Dramatically reduces redness *Prevents breakouts if used consistently *Tightens pores *Natural and usually non irritant *Easy to acquire. |
|---|---|
| Cons | *None |
| Bottom line | I'm 14 and have moderate acne across my forhead and on my jawline, so mostly in the T-zone area. I found that using strong cleansers and exfoliaters would leave my skin quite red and irritated so I decided to use this egg white mask to see if it would help with my skin. After 3 days of use, I noticed that my skin was a lot more clearer and the redness of my acne was dramatically reduced. My morning routine: 1. Rinse my face with cold water gently. 2. Apply Cetaphil all over my face very gently. 3. Rinse off the Cetaphil and pat dry my skin with tissues. 4. Apple light beaten egg whites to my face with a make up remover pad. 5. Allow the egg white mask to dry for 20-25 minutes.( I usually just go on Msm or Facebook or watch TV during this time). 6. Wash face thoroughly making sure to remove all the egg whites. 7. Pat face dry again with tissues. 8. Gently apply my oil-free moisturizer. |

| Pros | - Tightened my pores - Reduced redness of acne - Inexpensive - Easy - Helped my blackheads - Made my skin really soft and smooth |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Feels tight and/or sometimes a little itchy |
| Bottom line | I think it's great! I totally recommend it. It's really easy, and I can even do my homework while I have the mask on. lol it's awesome, although I was a little skeptical at first, looking at the bad reviews but I still decided to try it. For people with really oily skin I think it would help a lot. All I did was literally whip up the egg white of an egg and apply it. Hope it works for you too! |

| Pros | -Cheap -Feels like face is tightened (Though I can't say much about that... You don't need much "tightening" at 18) -Reduced pimple size (whiteheads) |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Made face red -Didn't reduce scarring -Didn't help papules/ cystic acne -Buuuuuurn! |
| Bottom line | So I used this for a good 3 months with Differin gel 0.1 (I was already on Differin for 4 months before using the egg mask). At first, there were some small positive results but then once I began to approach the three month mark, my face would be red and very sensitive after washing it off. It hurt to touch. I think this would work for people with light acne who aren't using retinoids. |

| Pros | - tightens pores - effectively dries pimples - whitens the skin - cheap, almost always present in your kitchen |
|---|---|
| Cons | - the smell, if you're first timer but once it becomes a part of your regimen, this won't bother you at all - some people will typically ditch the egg yolk after separating the whites, sometimes they will get a few tbsp. of whites then what's left goes with the yolk in trash bin meaning there's a waste |
| Bottom line | Most people who have used this, they swore that it's going to be part of their regimen FOR LIFE. Well, I've been inconsistently using (for 5 years already) this as I'm exploring different household remedies, but I always come back for this because the egg proven itself to me already. I certainly DO NOT recommend using this mask overnight as it will make your skin very very dry (not to mention the agony of sniffing its' smell while sleeping), use this mask for 20-30 minutes should do the trick and apply good moisturizer. What I do: I crack the egg and separating the white and the yolk. Place each of them in small ramekins and get 2 tbsp. from each. (your face must be washed already with gentle cleanser like cetaphil or any brand that works for you with lukewarm water) 1. the white goes on my face (pouring the 2 tbsp. right on my CLEANSED hand) and stays on my face for 30 mins. (maximum time) then I'll wash my face with lukewarm water. 2. the yolk comes in (same procedure as with the white and I'm finishing it with cold water to close the pores). No moisturizer required because the yolk acted as my moisturizer already. The parts that were left on the ramekins, I usually cook it as omelet or scrambled egg or whenever I'm cooking my egg and veggies soup that way I avoid wastage. :) |

| Pros | ~easy ~affordable ~"fun" ~works ~results |
|---|---|
| Cons | ~itchy face ~messy ~your putting egg whites on your face- ew! ~wasting part of egg |
| Bottom line | I tried this with my Uncle and my little brother and we had a lot of fun doing it. It was fun to see how we looked so funny and watch our face "shrink". This is the best treatment you really could get with the simplest thing from your house. You could do it weekly because it only takes 20 min at most including the preparation of the egg and keeping it on your face for 15 min. What we did was we took one egg and separated the whites and the yolk and I kind of whipped the whites a little. Then we just applied it to our faces. It was easy and not that uncomfortable bet it did make my face itch A LOT to where I just wanted to take it off. But otherwise this is a very fun thing to do with friends and no doubt helps/will help your skin a TON!!!! |
