Pros - tightens pores
- effectively dries pimples
- whitens the skin
- cheap, almost always present in your kitchen
Cons - the smell, if you're first timer but once it becomes a part of your regimen, this won't bother you at all

- some people will typically ditch the egg yolk after separating the whites, sometimes they will get a few tbsp. of whites then what's left goes with the yolk in trash bin meaning there's a waste
Bottom line Most people who have used this, they swore that it's going to be part of their regimen FOR LIFE.

Well, I've been inconsistently using (for 5 years already) this as I'm exploring different household remedies, but I always come back for this because the egg proven itself to me already.

I certainly DO NOT recommend using this mask overnight as it will make your skin very very dry (not to mention the agony of sniffing its' smell while sleeping), use this mask for 20-30 minutes should do the trick and apply good moisturizer.

What I do:
I crack the egg and separating the white and the yolk. Place each of them in small ramekins and get 2 tbsp. from each.
(your face must be washed already with gentle cleanser like cetaphil or any brand that works for you with lukewarm water)
1. the white goes on my face (pouring the 2 tbsp. right on my CLEANSED hand) and stays on my face for 30 mins. (maximum time) then I'll wash my face with lukewarm water.
2. the yolk comes in (same procedure as with the white and I'm finishing it with cold water to close the pores). No moisturizer required because the yolk acted as my moisturizer already.

The parts that were left on the ramekins, I usually cook it as omelet or scrambled egg or whenever I'm cooking my egg and veggies soup that way I avoid wastage. :)

~"fun"

Cons ~itchy face

~your putting egg whites on your face- ew!
~wasting part of egg
Bottom line I tried this with my Uncle and my little brother and we had a lot of fun doing it. It was fun to see how we looked so funny and watch our face "shrink". This is the best treatment you really could get with the simplest thing from your house. You could do it weekly because it only takes 20 min at most including the preparation of the egg and keeping it on your face for 15 min.
What we did was we took one egg and separated the whites and the yolk and I kind of whipped the whites a little. Then we just applied it to our faces. It was easy and not that uncomfortable bet it did make my face itch A LOT to where I just wanted to take it off. But otherwise this is a very fun thing to do with friends and no doubt helps/will help your skin a TON!!!!

Pros You're skin feels tight and nice when the mask is on
After you wash off, you're skin feels really nice
Removes blackheads
Cons You looks a bit scary
Bottom line It works! I used to have lots of blackheads on my nose, but once I applied it, they were gone :O I'm an Asian teen (Filipino) with dry skin, so I added some lemon juice also, but that's completely optional. I usually wear the mask going to sleep.

Pros Inexpensive solution
Reduces redness& inflammation
Helps to heal existing blemishes
Speeds cell turnover
Cons Somewhat messy
Bottom line I've been using organic eggs for about a month, using both the egg white and yolk. The egg white is great for tightening pores and giving that instant facelift- it's also supposedly pretty good at removing blackheads... but I haven't experienced this myself. I suffer from very congested pores between my eyebrows, on and around my nose, my cheeks and chin, and along my jawline. I spend about an hour on extraction a day, resulting in a very angry looking face. However, this mask is excellent at calming my face back down and making me look human again. It just occurred to me today to research quail eggs. They have 2x the amount of vit A as chicken eggs, and are a more convenient size. With the chicken eggs I felt like I was wasting quite a bit, however these seem to be the perfect little dose. I'm going to try this instead and see if I see any further difference.

Pros -Softer skin
-Zits shrank (In fact, I think my pores did as well.
-Cheapest soulution I've tried yet.
Cons -It's a bit uncomfortable when the egg dries and your skin becomes real tight.
Bottom line I started breaking out when I was 13 and now, going on 17 and after trying every acne medication and cover up in the country, I thought I should try a home remedy. SO GLAD I DID. I get tiny little white heads that just cover my forehead and bigger ones on my chin, and after one night of using an egg white mask my skin is FLAT. Every single pimple is is smaller and not nearly as red as they were before- which makes them so much easier to cover up. And my skins so soft~

I'm going to continue doing this for awhile- and if youre thinking about doing this then you really should try it.

ALSO, I read that you should let your face air dry after you wash it off. Theres something that the egg leaves behind that helps fight acne. Thats not much help, hmm? :/

( I've heard that egg whites heal damaged hair, so I think maybe that it's doing the same thing to all the inflamed acne and scars- just puttin' that out there. )

Pros - makes the blemishes fade within days
- dries your acne
- tighten you skin
- feel fresh and soft
- perhaps can clear your acne too
Cons Acne might come back if you stop using it
Bottom line Before i start talking bout how amazing this mask is, i gotta tell you bout my skin first. I'm 18 and I'm Asian. I've been having acne since i was 12 and I've experienced many types of acne - black head, white head, little bumps and some nasty breakouts - you name it i have it. I've used this mask before cos my mom told me too but i didn't like it cos i thought it was messy but now i change my mind.

So here is how i use it. Break an egg and take a bit of the egg white, use a clean fork to stir it til you see the bubbles. Use a cotton pad - those you use to remove make up - to spread the egg white on your face. It won't be messy this way. I normally use it after the shower at night and leave it on til the next morning. You can leave it on for an hour or two and wash it off that's fine. For me, the egg white mask is like a light barrier between my skin and my pillow. I've been using the egg white by itself every night for 3 nights or so and the blemishes start to fade. Highly recommended !
