| Pros | Does its job, reduces acne, easy to apply. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dry skin (but the longer I've used this, the less my skin got dry because it got used to it). Doesn't clear ALL pimples. |
| Bottom line | I've used this product for nearly two years and it definitely has kept my acne under control but I wasn't 100% clear. Still, couldn't complain because my face was getting better. Whenever I ran out of this, my face would get really horrible again and I had to quickly make an appointment with the doctor to get another one. I used to apply this twice a day but reduced it once a day at night, which I find is the best time to apply it. I no longer use this product now though, because for some reason, it doesn't work on me as well as it used to :( I've switched to Panoxyl Gel, which works slightly better for me and is cheaper. However, I would recommend Duac because the bottom line is, it DOES work, but it doesn't cure acne, just clears it up. |

|---|---|
| Cons | Severe allergic reaction. After 3 applications according to the directions, my skin was: - bright red, as though I had been badly sunburned - even make up wouldn't hide it - tight, as though I had a face mask on - covered in small bumps - swollen - extremely itchy - I felt as though I wanted to scratch my face off - very flaky a few days after that. These side effects occurred in the area where I applied the gel (chin and under nose), as well as surrounding areas (cheeks |
| Bottom line | Avoid this product like the plague, particularly if you have sensitive skin. I have never had this kind of reaction to any product I have used before, and I have tried lots of them. I had to go to my doctor who recommended a cortisone cream to settle my face down. I also contacted the company to let them know and ask about a refund, but they refused to take any responsibility, as they said any medication can have side effects. I called the Department of Fair Trading who basically said that I was wasting my time in trying to recover my money. If this was a cosmetic and this reaction occurred, money wold be refunded immediately. Think long and hard before using this. I would have liked to give zero stars it was that bad, but had to give one. |

| Pros | Worked, easy to apply and it was free for me (on prescription). |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stopped working after a long while. I guess my skin just got used to it. |
| Bottom line | I was very happy with this product for a long time, but now it sadly doesn't seem to work. I think that may be the anti biotic part of the cream. I'm now happily moving back over to BP gel.. and wondering why I stopped just using that. |

| Pros | For short periods of time it works |
|---|---|
| Cons | It's not consistent at all |
| Bottom line | I used Duac along with Differin, and washing my face every day and my acne became worse than just using off the shelf-acen clearasil products. Before I took these products my acne was moderate, after Duac my acne became severe. |

| Pros | reduces size and redness of spots and clears them up in a couple of days makes skin less greasy |
|---|---|
| Cons | doesn't seem to prevent spots |
| Bottom line | I was prescribed duac by a dermatologist a couple of years ago and it works well at reducing the size and redness of spots - i notice the difference when i don't use it plus it makes my skin much less greasy . |

| Pros | I used the gel, so it was non-greasy. Did not smell and felt good on my face. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Did not work as well as I would have liked. It made the size of the pimples smaller, but I still broke out. |
| Bottom line | Best for very light acne. If you have severe acne this may not work for you. |

| Pros | Worked quickly, I could tell that it was working right away. My skin became much clearer after a couple of weeks. |
|---|---|
| Cons | The worst part about using this was that it dried out my skin. It also made my skin red when I first applied it, though the redness went away after about 30 minutes. Pricey. Also, it stopped working! That's the worst part. |
| Bottom line | I would recommend this product; it worked very well for me. Unfortunately, my skin eventually became immune to its effects and now I have to find something else to use. It was expensive, too, because my insurance didn't cover brand-name prescriptions. It works, it just didn't for forever for me. |

| Pros | it's not a pill |
|---|---|
| Cons | It cost me $40 copay and expires every 6 weeks. kind of expensive. So far not working |
| Bottom line | I need a little more time with it. Right now I apply the duac in the morning and Tazorac at night. So my skin is extra itchy. I have not noticed any difference in my skin. I was on Doxocyclin for 6 weeks but due to YI I had to stop taking it. The doxy clear up my skin pretty nice so hopefully the Duac & Tazorac will keep it clear. Otherwise it's Accutane. |

| Pros | Only thing that can kinda sorta control my severe cystic acne that leaves terrible and long lasting scars. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made my face a bit dry but thats what moisturizer is for, and it fixed that. |
| Bottom line | For me I have like the worst acne of anyone in the world and it leaves scars that last for about 6 months(I know CRAZY).This is the only thing that has helped me a little. My acne was mild-moderate but then I took minocycline(prescription antibiotic) and it made my face look more like a pepperoni pizza than a clear face. It has never been the same. Tell me if you find something that actually works.(By the way, I tried Murad for one night and it made my face look EVEN WORSE PLEASE IF YOU LIKE A CLEAR FACE DO NOT DO MURAD IT WAS EXTREMELY RED AND BLOTCHY AND STILL IS IM LOCKED UP IN MY HOUSE I CANT GO ANYWHERE IT LOOKS SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) |
