Went to the derm today and thought he'd be pleased with the improvement. I've been on duac, mino, and tazorac since July 27th. When he felt deep into my face he felt lots of cysts underneath so apparently by meds are just masking the cysts and I look clear but underneath is still a mess. So I'm going on Accutane which the derm says he recommends strongly after I have my bloodwork done. Wish me luck.

I have now been on it for six weeks....I'm almost completely clear and I can't believe it. I also take Minocycline twice a day and tazorac at night but my face has NEVER looked better than it does after six weeks on meds. I'm very grateful because when I started I didn't have much faith this would work. I feel like a whole new person. Hope it lasts....Good Luck

This along with perscription cefadroxil, and green tea has almost entirely cleared me up. For the dryness I am using jojoba oil, it works well. I attribute most of the success to this lotion though.

I've been using Duac for about 3 weeks in combination with (Ro)Accutane since the Ro doesnt seem to be doing me any good (Im on my 2nd course of Ro, about 3 months in). So far Duac seems to be giving me more pimples, although wherther this might be the Ro is hard to say. No redness, but my skin is flaky the next morning. Still, its cheap on the NHS or on a private prescription. The search goes on...

ive been using this stuff for almost a month. ive always had bumps on my forehead that always came back and were small but hard, and they really bothered me. i asked my doctor what i should do and she gave a me a buncha samples of this stuff for free. the first time i put it on it stung a little bit, but not horribly. i leave it on overnight and cleanse/mosturize in the morning. when i first started using it, i did have a break out of a bunch of small bumps, but now theyre all gone! the only thing that really bothers me is that the patch of skin where i use duac is really dry and peeling. its starting to go away now, but it itches a lot sometimes and that patch of skin looks kind of weird because of that. i think im gonna use it every other night, because my moisturizer only helps a little. any suggestions?? thanks...i know this is long :)

Duac works great! I had acne a few years back and it eventually came back. I was very hesitant to go to the derm because I knew they were going to give me meds and I HATE taking meds. But, I tried the Duac gel and it cleared me up in about 2 weeks. And I had a little more than moderate case. I mean a new zit every day...and deep cysts. Now, all I have is left is two old cysts that are going away and 1 new zit (from pms). I went back to the derm and now has me alternating duac with retin-A. I haven't tried the retin-A yet, but i now trust my dr. Oh. and origninally, she prescribed me an antibiotic, but it had so many side-effects, i never tried it. just the duac alone was amazing! Everyone is noticing how my face has cleared. I was very sceptical at first because my acne was brought on alot from anxiety that I go through. But it works! Also, I use a non-chemical cleanser from trader joes called Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with Awapuhi and Tea Tree Oil. It works really well. I started using it before I saw my derm. I told her about it and she said to keep using it. It works for me! By the way, it takes a couple weeks for your skin to acclamate to the Duac. So it may be a bit irritated, but your skin gets used to it. Stay with it!
