Been using Duac for about 2 weeks now in conjunction with Differin. I use the Duac in the AM so I am able to put on makeup becuase it dries without any residue unike the Differin. It irritates my skin like crazy. It itches and burns and is now flaking. But it has brought some pimples to the surface and cleared them up in seriously 48 hours. So far it works well, with the exception of the burning, itchy drying thing thats going on. Hopefully as time goes on this will subside. Willing to give it a chance for the long run based on how well it has treated pre-existing blemishes.

So far, I've been on Duac for just a month and let me just say, as a 33 y.o. male suffering from adult acne, I was hoping this would do the trick. Not only did it clear up my acne completely, with no side effects as others claim, the redness from previous scars have all but disappeared completely! Totally satisfied w/ this product and would recommend a anyone try it out for themselves!!!

Duac is really great...i have been using it for about a month now and have experienced no irritation or redness. The main problem with my acne is that it is hormonal and very red, but not pustular and duac has completely smoothed my skin and reduced the redness a lot. I used to use a moisturiser but now no longer do and my skin is much better. If you have acne, drying your skin up completely and allowing it to flake and then heal is an essential part of the proccess of getting rid of it. If you are tempted to wear moisturiser and you have oily skin and acne, dont! You are in effect undoing the work of your treatment, as you are filling your already bloked pores with more oil - not good. Just use a cleanser like the clinique cleansing bar for oily skin which is about £8 and a toner of pure lavender water, which you can get in healthfood shops. This is an astrigent but it will not overdry your skin and is not full of harmful chemicals.

I tried a sample of it that my Dr gave to me. It feels sticky on my face, and it made my face red.

I am 27 years old and have been using acne products since I was 14...I have tried everything including 4 months of accutane. Last fall, I was experiencing one of the worst breakouts of my life. I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed Retin-A and Duac. After 2 weeks I stopped the Retin-A due to extreme redness and irritability, but I kept using the Duac. One month later, my skin looked fantastic and I was no longer trying to hide my face. I think this medicine is a miracle drug...I have very oily skin and find it has greatly improved my skin's overall appearance and almost eliminated breakouts.

For the first week or so it dried out my skin really bad, including peeling. I was able to keep up with the dryness by using moisturizing lotion a couple of times a day. After 3 weeks now peeling is very minimal, if at all. I started noticing results 2 days after use and again, 3 weeks later skin blemishes are almost absent. This product has worked where most others have failed. I am also using it in conjunction with Tazorac .05% gel. My insurance pays for all but $8.00 so it is not expensive for me at all.

My face felt like it was on fire at first. It took me a couple of weeks and I got very frustrated with my face peeling, feeling extremely dry, and tingling. But, I got used to it and I'm very happy with the results. I am so glad I gave it a chance because the beginning was hard to get used to it. I noticed too that if I didn't use on oily spots on my face, I would breakout right away. So use throughout consistently for best results!
