I started Duac in March this year. I found it really good for around 3 months then I got spots again and I stopped. I am trying it again now. It does realy work.

I am not satisfied with this product in any way. For starters it is extremely expensive (and expires very quickly). It is also ineffective and at time counter-productive. I've been using duac and differin for a few weeks now, and before I started I had never had any painful or cystic outbreaks - but now they're common. Worst of all, Duac never completely dries on my face, I always have to was off the sticky residue in the shower the morning after I apply. Duac is a complete waste, I suggest leaving any dermatologist who plans to waste your time and money on this "treatment."

Wow I was surprised when I first got Duac! I have used alot of other products like Netrogena, Proactiv and various other soaps, but it seemed to work for a while then it just didn't work at all. When I first put Duac on (I also used Apricot Scrub to wash), I was happy to feel that it didn't burn, and after about an hour the redness of my acne had faded (what a relief)! About a week later I noticed my blackheads had gone away, scars were fading, and I had a lot LESS big, blockly, red, painful (yes it was that bad!!!)breakouts! After about 2 months of using it... I glad that it still works!

Hey everyone! OK Im 11 years old(God I must suck to already have major breakouts). I had really bad acne this past year and a couple of younger kids even commented that I had chicken poxs(hahaha=)) Well I first used any over the counter product I good get my hands on. Yes I know smart. Then I asked my demo for help. She recommended this, Tazorac, and just a mild cleanser so my face doesnt get oily. Well, I must say this stuff has worked VERY well. Im not spotless yet...Still managing but my skin is 1111111111111 times better:) I strongly recommened this to anyone. Well does anyone have any suggestions for clearing up little acne in about 3 weeks?=)

Seemed to be working after a couple of weeks, then it quit. I had used a similar product (the BP and clyndamicin combination) with very bad results, but it had been a while and I thought perhaps I had been using it wrong or hadn't hung in long enough.
Combined treament with differin left my skin red and blotchy with no significant improvement with the acne. I would still get the lesions, only now it took forever for them to heal.
I found the product to be very sticky and grimey feeling.
As for the price, my health insurance covered a lot of it and there is a rebate also. I'm just still sad I payed for a second tube :(

When I first started using Duac Gel, it burned my face, gave me extreme dry patches. I was gonna stop using it until I came upon this site. It's been about 3 weeks now and I found a cure for the dryness. I now wash my face with DOVE gentle exfoliate facial cleanser, then I put on some DOVE facial moisturizer, let that dry then apply Duac. Man, it seems like a mircale. I'm looking flawless. Even old blotches are vanishing. Thanks for all of your input because I was gonna give up...

Has anyone noticed your zits go away faster if you store your duac in the fridge?

My dermatologist wanted me to start out by using it twice a day - bad idea - my face was so irritated! I started using it just at bedtime and the dryness soon went away. It seems to be helping so far. Never graduate college because they drop your health coverage and it's $100 a tube :( At least a little bit goes a long way...

works really well. I had moderate acne. I was prescribed Duac to be used at night and Tazorac during the daytime. Worked wonders!
