| Pros | - Clear skin - Been 2 months and still working - Cleared in 2-3 weeks |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Bit of drying (Not that bad) - Occaisional pimple/blackhead but nothing to big |
| Bottom line | I'm 14. I've been on Eryacne, Differin and Doxycycline and this is BY FAR the best medicine I've used. I'd been affected by acne for about a year. Then my aunty recomended this product as her daughters had used it and it worked amazingly. I asked my doctor and he said to give it a try. I am happy about the way I look for the first time in 12 months. |

| Pros | Pros -Clearer skin no red or spots -less oil on my shoulders, back and face -still working and it s been over 6 months -reduces size of pimple faster. -It takes time to see the full result it took me 6 months. -reduces redness and may get rid of all togeather and clear up. -reduces black heads, white heads and may get rid of all togeather and clear up. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Cons -Dry skin depending what shower gel you use -Takes about 3 to 4 weeks to see improvement -slight redness at first -flaking at first you must exfoluate in shower or bath to stop this -didnt fully clear my skin it takes time -you need the basics right before the product will work. If you dont get this right you will struggle to get any good results. -If you have oily back, shoulders and face you will allways have to use this product for life even when you cleared it all 100% |
| Bottom line | I have been using this duac gel on and of for afew months. It didnt work doing this I found. So I use it every night for the last 2 months and its cleared my shoulders and face 99% now. My back is about 75% to 80% clear now. I have to use it every single night before bed or even after a shower at night time. If I miss 1 night I can have spots or redness starting in places. But if I use it every night I dont have a problem. So simple terms it has to be used regular with out missing it using duac gel. One other thing I use gloves in the shower that exfoluate my skin to scrap of any dry or flakey skin this solves the problem. This is the best gel I have used but for it to work you need the right shower gel not to dry your skin before to much. Also exfoluate your skin when having a shower. If you have redness cover the hole skin and spots and if you have any big spots put a small blob of duac gel over the spot and leave it there. The next morning it clears up far faster 50% faster with bigger spots this way. My skin is oily on my back, shoulders and face so the gel stops me producing to much natural oils. But the same time not stopping it all togeather because it will age all your skin and the way you look. Not to be used in 2 times a day its to much and damage your skin. I rate this 4 stars cause I havn't finnshed yet or seen it clear up fully yet. But so far so good my girl friend can see a big diffrence now. I also get mine of the doctor due to my condition. But I know it costs abit to buy but it would be worth it. You have to get things right for it to work otherwise you never fix the problem. I will come back and rate Duac gel again after the new year then it will be 6 months. Then give anther review to show how 2 months went to 6 months. I will keep you up to date with the progress. So far so good so I cant complain. UPDATE The 6 months have now been and all redness and spots on my back, face and shoulders have all cleared up |

| Pros | Cleared nearly all of my acne in less that 5 days! |
|---|---|
| Cons | A little flakey, but that's a minor issue. |
| Bottom line | I've been using Duac Once Daily Gel which contains 5% Benzoyl Peroxide and 1% Clindamycin. I was prescribed this by my GP about nearly 4 weeks ago after telling her about my acne and how it practically ruined my life lol. I didn't see much of a difference in the first few days, but after about 5 days I saw a massive difference in my skin. My forehead was the worst area of my face, covered in iloads of inflammed spots and blackheads, but now it is my cleared. I haven't got 1 pimple on there now. My cheeks weren't as bad as my forehead, but there were many days where they were red and completely inflammed an sore. Now, theres barely anything visible on my cheeks. One thing I have noticeD is that the texture of the skin on my cheeks as changed quite a bit. They look like they've been stripped off moisture and stuff. I want to know whether it will be ok after I've stopped using the medication? Anyways, I have no bad things to say about this product. I'm so happy with how my skin as turned out so far. Honestly, I was so bloody insecure about my crappy skin, covering everything in loads of make-up and stuff. I haven't wore much concealer or foundation since. I'm so relieved; it deffo is one product Id recommend to moderate acne suffers. I didn't suffer from all the cons people have spoken of i.e. itchiness or burning and so on, although I did have a little dryness. One thing I'd like to know is that if I stop using the product, will my spots return? I'd like to cut down on the product very soon and was wondering whether everything will just reappear. |

| Bottom line | I have used duac in the past in my teens in the middle of GCSEs, and it worked a treat. I then headed to univeristy it is my third year now and my skin has been awful! I was diagnosed with Lupus last year and the prednisolone is messing my skin up. So the doctor said to used duac again, as i ahvent been using it for 2 years. I have been on duac for 2 weeks. the first 2 days my skin was urning and dry also my eye lid did swell up. I have more breakouts than before and my big spots have turned to white heads i am not sure if thats how it works. So no improvement as such yet. I dont pick my spots so hopefully they will fade. does this how it works? you breakout first? |

| Pros | easy to use, a little expensive, works really well, pimple dries up on one application, doesn't leave marks, works well on whiteheads and blackheads, works fast |
|---|---|
| Cons | needs to be refrigerated (well depending on the climate coz it's hot here) |
| Bottom line | When I started using duac, the first 2days made my skin flare up. More pimples appeared. but it's okay, it's a natural reaction of the skin on new products because it's adjusting to it. On the third day, i noticed a big change, all my pimples dried up, whiteheads are gone, and the backheads were raised from my pores like it was squeeze out but not. So when i washed my face, it was removed easily and they didn't come back. After a week, my skin was all clear of acne and marks. Great product! Note: I applied duac very thinly (pea size for the whole face so it wouldn't dry up your skin too much), nightly before going to bed. And i use cetaphil moisturizing lotion in the morning. |

| Pros | I put it on the areas I was breaking out in and apart from a few here and there prevented any more acne. When put on current pimples it reduced inflammation quickly. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Didn't really do much for the few white heads I have but I now use it with a salicylic acid exfoliant once every few nights so they're gone. Didn't reduce the red pigments that stayed for a while but again the exfoliant has started doing this. Also when I did put it on in large amounts I broke out in a minor rash for a few days. |
| Bottom line | Great product, my skin is almost flawless now apart from a few red marks yet to fade. Stick to putting it on at night so any redness or dryness is gone by the morning. |

| Pros | Looking forward to using it to clear up skin. DOES NOT HAVE TO REREFRIGERATED. Good price with insurace. Prevents future breakouts. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Causes your skin to look pretty bad at the first week or two. takes 3-4 weeks to look better. |
| Bottom line | This solution is most likely, depeding on if your allergic or not, going to clear up your skin. It will keep your skin clear and you shouldn't have any major problems again. If you start to, ask your phsycian. Unlike many of the previous reviews state, the Duac gel does NOT have to be refrigerated, that statement on the box was for pharmasist ONLY. Looking forward to seeing the end results. |

| Pros | Works really well, Only use Once daily, Stops redness and breakouts/ reduce pimple sizes and Clears blackheads and whiteheads |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dries Skin has to use with moisturizer, Cost alot if you have no insurance, Takes time to work, Has to be kept in the fridge(bad for travelling) |
| Bottom line | Basically It worked really well for me though you cant avoid to have 1 or 2 pimples once and a while. I hate the way you cant travel with it or it goes off because it not in the fridge, but it really does work it wont be magic but it works I feel much more confident. Started to see the difference the 1st week but my acne was only light maybe medium but it says you will see difference on week 3 or 4 I really recommend trying this out, |

| Pros | Made a big difference in clearing my acne after the first time I used it. |
|---|---|
| Cons | After the second time I used it I became severely allergic with a red rash over my entire face, very dry, itchy and bumpy. It's even under my chin and on my eyelids where I didn't put the gel. It's really horrible and I look freaky. |
| Bottom line | If you are allergic to any creams or lotions on your face, you will be allergic to this - don't use it. I am allergic to any moisturiser or sunscreen that has perfume in it, and I've had same reaction as that. It's really disappointing because I have a massive (I'm talking really huge) spot on my forehead that has practically vanished after using it only twice so I can see that it would really work, if I could use it. But now I look worse than I did last week because of this hideous rash. I have to use cortisone to get rid of it. It's a bit expensive too, cost $45 although I will get some back on my health insurance (not sure how much). |

| Pros | Worked well for a time, better than any other product. Free on the NHS. Simple and easy to apply |
|---|---|
| Cons | Took 8 weeks to begin working, eventually stopped working, made face red. |
| Bottom line | After trying countless Oral antibiotics and Zineryt with no success, my doctor put me on Duac Cream. When I first used it it burnt my face (stinging, bright red), but after that first time never again. After 8 weeks (and almost giving up) it started working. It really cleared up my acne better than anything I had ever used before After around 2 years though, it has just stopped working for some reason, which is upsetting. The only other downfall is that it did make my face go very red and sensitive to washing/sunlight. |
