Pros: If your from the UK you can get it for free on the NHS so it costs nothing. Clears skin up alot better than any other cream i have used and my acne ranged from mild-moderate with cysts. Cons: If you use it every day you can go through a tube in about 6-8 weeks so if your paying can be alot. Wash your face in the morning as if it gets wet but not washed off it seems to burn a little but nothing i couldnt handle. Bottom Line: I had moderate acne with cysts for several months and pretty much gave up all hope as i did not want to try roacutane at the time and i found this hiding in the cuboard and had never used it as gels had never works for me before. I started to use it and to be honest after about 6 weeks i saw a MASSIVE improvement, the effects do seem to wear off the more you use it, i have been on it for about 6 months-ish now and i still get the occasional bad breakout but this does help indeed, iv never wrote on this site before but i just had to share with you that it did indeed help me alot, now i am on roacutane and ill write up how that went after my 3 month period on it is up, only 1 month in at the moment. Pros: Absolutely love this stuff. I have had acne problems since being a teen and have tried many things, i.e., Retin-A micro, oral antibiotics, Proactive and none have worked. In fact the Retin-A micro made by skin horribly worse. This is the best. Cons: I have not found any cons. I started once a day to make sure it didn't dry out my skin but eventually my doctor told me to apply twice. I have noticed no dryness. Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this product. Absolutely the best acne product I have ever tried. My doc uses it twice a day and her skin is beautiful. Recommended: Yes Usage: Nicole has used this item for about a year. Pros: It does work.. but i think depending on how long you allow it to work and whether your regimen is consistent e.g used daily before bed. Cons: Increase in redness of spots. Use this product thinly. Bottom Line: I've been using this product for about 6 weeks. Sometimes the mild to moderate acne is looking great, then overnight in the morning it will look worse. Not sure if this is related to my hormones/implanon though. I've noticed it works really well on existing pimples but doesn't seem to prevent new ones forming (but that could work with longer consistent use of the product) Definitely give the product a try, it works differently for everyone. Pros: Works, works, works! Cons: Has to be refrigerated, causes dryness & appearance of fine lines (perhaps due to dryness) Bottom Line: After I had my daughter, my hormones were crazy & out-of-whack. I suddently developed cystic acne. I tried several things and nothing worked. I was growing frustrated & annoyed and wanted my clear skin back! I switched dermatologists and she prescribed DUAC. Pros: Very light consistancy, has cleared up my acne extremely well. Cons: Does dry out, skin gets used to it so you have to switch to pill form antibiotics and back, Not funded by New Zealand government so expensive. Bottom Line: It is amazing, the only thing that has worked so far for me and I feel beautiful again, like I can actually leave the house with confidence. Pros: first day of using it was fine... Cons: 2nd day, my face started to itch!, it was swollen and red!...it feels like sand paper. Bottom Line: I couldnt stand the side effects! i mean 3 days and my face is still swollen, jus from a small application. i am on the 5% BP and 1.5 C. Its awful, wot a price to pay for beautiful skin. Pros: I was using Retin-a Micro and Duac cream at the same time, which really, really helped out my acne. I began just using the Duac during the day and Retin-a Micro at night. My skin was clear and healthy looking. Cons: Using both topical skin medications it can cause some skin irrations and dryness..But I used Ambi daily skin cream for the skin dryness and was fine Bottom Line: I would recommend this product to anyone who has had no hope or progress with other medication and this is not a game...This is a true story about this product it is worth what ever you may have to spend on the product...last use for me was tonight @ 10-25-09 @10:30pm. Pros: Makes my skin less oily Gets rid of blackheads, spots, whiteheads, etc! Evens my skintone Bottom Line: Love this! I'm still in full-time Education, so I got this prescribed to me for free by my Doctor! It's so good that I saw a difference within days! Good thing was I didn't get the drying, red, patchy side effect either! (Which is good cause I need to apply it all over my face where the blemishes are!) Pros: Helps clear up acne, and prevent new spots from appearing and helps Get rid of blemishes, which on black skin is worser then having acne as the spots go but they last for years... Cons: May bleach bed sheets and pillows Bottom Line: This duac cream works wonders notice a difference four days after using it When ever I have a spot I pull the cream out and the spot is gone in a matter if days. I have to only use it once a couple of weeks as I've noticed its made my face a bit lighter And I don't won't to look like a bleached out black person when in fact I love my brown skin! I'm from the UK and I'm not intitled to free prescriptions, but here in the UK you only pay £7.60 for any one prescription. So in total I've spent no more than £15, I'm Now using my second tube! Hehe. Not sure how much in US dollars but dirt cheap for a product Folks have to pay hundreds for. Recommended: Yes Usage: serena teresa has used this item for a few months.
