| Pros | Good consistency. Doesn't have an odor. Easy to apply. It really cleared up my serve acne. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made me break out worse when i first started using it. Made my face red and chapped. Although my face began to get used to it. If you stop using it acne will return over time but not as severe as before. |
| Bottom line | This stuff really works guys. My dermatologist prescribed me (Duac, Differin, Dorox 100mg tablets) This regiment helped me out a lot. I went from very severe acne to pretty much 100% clear. I would recommend this regiment to anyone with a good insurance carrier, otherwise it would be almost impossible to pay for it. Somewhere around 700 a month without insurance. I got it all of it for 60 bucks due to the fact i have pretty good insurance. |

| Pros | Worked great. absolutely wonderful. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Can bleach your clothes, |
| Bottom line | I had been using Aveda, but went travelling in South America and thought it may be cumbersome to travel with a bunch of bottles. For that entire month, I just used sensitive skin wet wipes (to clean my face, as I was in a place with only 4 hrs of running water a day) + an old duac prescription from 5 yrs ago (at night). I thought the dust and air pollution would aggravate my acne, but I have never seen my skin so clear, and neither had anyone else. They all commented that I was 'glowing' upon my return. Was it the Duac? or the lack of pollutants? or South America, in general? I will never know. I cannot afford a $200 dollar 'kit'. They have now added a moisturizer as an excuse to jack up the price even further. Try being uninsured and affording this stuff. Puh-lease. |

| Pros | Does treat and shrink pimples sometimes, depending on the location of pimple and how big it is it doesn't effect it by much |
|---|---|
| Cons | Price; Doesn't effect pimples much that I can tell and after I used it for the first few days I had a really bad break out on my chin that hasn't happened to me before using it...tried using it on break out, didn't help much |
| Bottom line | I don't know if I like this acne treatment. It also leaves the skin tight and dry. I don't think it works for me though it's worked well on other people. I'm wondering if the bacteria I have is immune to the anitibiotic in the treatment and it sucks |

| Pros | Clear, lovely skin, even on the back works fast on individual breakouts Helps a little bit with large cysts and nodules |
|---|---|
| Cons | When they say "give it six weeks," they mean down to the day, because it took that entire time to actually see full results Ended up having to use twice a day, so I ran out faster |
| Bottom line | Though I saw a little improvement right from the first day, it DID take a long time for my skin to clear up. But the wait was 100% worth it. I've never felt this good when Iooked in the mirror I have painful cystic acne, and although topical creams don't generally work on those, I've found this product helps them heal much faster. Day I went to the doctor, I had a nodule the size of a small grape on my cheekbone. It was completely gone in 4 days after starting Duac, and ordinarily it would have taken weeks |

| Pros | Works better than anything else I have ever tried; is covered by my insurance plan. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Causes burning/redness if used every night (vs. every other night); bleaches fabric (towels, pillowcases). |
| Bottom line | I have been using this for 4 years (after an initial round of tetracycline for 4 months to get my skin under control). Although I have noticed some decreased effectiveness in the past year (likely due to bacterial resistance from using the product for so long), it has worked amazingly for me. For 4 years my skin was almost perfectly clear, and spot applying it to a pimple would make it clear up quickly. I have to apply it every other night (instead of every night) or I get too much burning/redness, and the irritation can actually cause me to break out. I make sure I use a good moisturizer with it to keep the irritation down (la roche posay hydraphase). No other topical treatment I've used even came close to working for me (clindamycin alone, retinol, proactive). |

| Pros | I've been using duac for a week now and all of my face acne are gone. Not drying, maybe because I have oily skin. This is the best acne product I have ever used. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It's kinda expensive. |
| Bottom line | I greatly recomment using this product since I haven't encountered any side effects yet. It works for me very well but what works for me may not work for others. Just give it a try. |

| Pros | -Shrinks zit -No allergic reactions -Simple, easy |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Leaves skin feeling really dry and somewhat rough due to the 5% BP |
| Bottom line | Anyways, i was prescribed duac and only use it for the occassional zit that pops up. once i place a bit of duac on it, it generally subsides within under a week guaranteed. the amount of days depends on where it is on my face, and how fast i catch it. anyways, i would definitely recommend it, 5% seems to be ok and not too overdrying and attacks the problem really quick due to the BP%. |
