Almost overnight three years ago I started breaking out all over my cheeks.

What finally cleared up my acne was Differin .3 and Finacea but the Differin became WAY too harsh for my skin. The differin cleared me up about 60% and then the Dr. Bronners took me the other 35% of the way. I've gotten multiple friends hooked on it too

AM: Dove soap and my clarisonic

Sodium sulfacetamide lotion

PM:

Wash with hands and Dr. Bronner's soap

Trentitoin .05 alternating nights with Finacea cream

DDF Oil Free Moisturizing Dew AM/PM

Pros

  • leaves face "squeaky" clean
  • I've had oily skin since puberty, since using Dr. Bronner's tea tree oil my skin is NOT oily at all anymore
  • has cleared up residual acne that my prescription creams missed
  • I know that this face wash is the main reason my acne has cleared up 95%
  • has completely changed the texture of my skin
  • MIRACLE product! If you haven't tried please do so but remember this must be diluted for your face
  • Cheap for amount you get

Cons

  • CAN be trying, so please dilute it 50/50 or up to 30/70 (soap/water)
  • the water texture takes some getting used to but that's a small price to pay for beautiful skin
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • $ 9
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I am not joking around when I say that I've tried everything on the market to clear up my acne! Gels, creams, lotions, washes, pills, over the counter products, Dan's "sacred" regimen, prescriptions, birth control pills, and even Accutane. I finished a six month course of Accutane before starting college in 2011, and it did wonders! I truly believed that I would never see another cyst on my face again... But, boy, was I wrong! A year after I had finished my course of Accutane, I started getting terrible, huge bumps along my chin, neck, and ears. I no longer wanted to go to parties or get together with friends... It was not a good time. But then I decided to search Acne.org for the millionth time, in an attempt to find a "cure"! And, well, I have literally found it! I started using the tea tree oil version of this product a few months ago, and I have only broken out three times! That is incredible considering I used to break out numerous times a day! This soap really is magical... I wish I would have come across it YEARS ago! I will never use another face wash again... My hormonal acne days are out the window at last.

Pros

  • Clears acne like magic!
  • Makes skin soft
  • Dries out oily skin
  • One small bottle lasts months
  • Environmentally-friendly

Cons

  • Watery consistency
  • Sometimes makes skin flaky
  • light
  • for a few months
  • I recommend using this treatment.

My skin is very oily and sensitive (especially to fragrances) so finding a gentile, affordable cleanser that actually gets my skin clean has been a battle. Even Purpose and baby washes broke me out and they didn't really get my makeup off. But the Baby Mild version of this is awesome! It even removes Revlon's Colorstay foundation. And it costs about the same as most acne cleansers but you get more in the bottle.

Pros

  • Natural, organic, fair trade and all that
  • Foams really well
  • Gets all my makeup off
  • Fewer acne and allergy flare ups
  • Fragrance free (in the Baby Mild version)
  • Cheap

Cons

  • None yet
  • moderate
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 6
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I had recently herd about this product from a client of mine, she had told me that it was super cheap and all natural. I am 21 years old and have been struggling with acne from the time I hit my teens. (I blame my dad for bad genes!) So I went to Publix and decided to try yet another product. As soon as I went home I washed my face as directed and instantly felt really clean! I have been using this for about 3 days now I cant tell you how happy I am that I found this. My skin is cleared and the redness is going down.

I would deffinately recommend this product to anyone that has acne, or just wants clean skin!

So go out and buy this stuff! Its amazing, Enjoy =)

Pros

  • All antural
  • Cheap
  • It really goes a long way

Cons

  • None that I can think of.
  • light
  • for a day or two
  • $ 8
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I never want to run out of this product.

Pros

  • Its outstanding, Dr. Bronners was just recommended casually to me thru my Dr..... he mentioned that he uses it. I'm amazed it cleared up my eczema on my lower rt. Leg. I tried Aveeno for years & never have had the results that Dr. Bronners gave me. I think its the oils that healed the skin.

Cons

  • The amount of face towels, lol! What a trade off though. I will never use a synthetic loofa again.
  • very light
  • for a few months
  • $ 12
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I don't want to bash this product, just because it is a really good product and it has a lot of good reviews. I use this as a shampoo and you can also use it around the house.

As a face wash? I used it once yesterday morning, right after washing with it my face turned red and shiny and pretty much stayed irritated for the rest of the day. Now I woke up this morning and my face has broken out. My acne was doing pretty well, starting to fade away, and I'm kicking myself for ruining it all by messing with my routine. It might be an allergic reaction that I had, it might be this soap combined with another part of my routine that did it...I don't know. I'm not saying "don't try it", I'm just warning, it might not go the way you want it to.

My skin is oily and very sensitive if that helps at all. I'm just praying that it'll go back to normal soon.

Pros

  • All natural
  • Good for the environment
  • Great Shampoo
  • Lots of good reviews

Cons

  • Broke my face out terribly
  • Ruined my day honestly :(
  • light
  • for a day or two
  • $ 8
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I wish I had discovered this earlier in my life. It would have saved me the 20 years' fight against the acne, the thousands spent on expensive cosmetics and treatment, the four years on hormonal tablets and the thread veins which I got as a consequence... How could I know that this soap will clear my face for just 3 days? For me this really is magic, even though I know how logical it is... This is what my skin has craved for so long - to breathe and to be free :)

Pros

  • Too many to list exhaustively.

Cons

  • None
  • moderate
  • for about a week
  • $ 9.39
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I seriously wanted this to help, esp because of how pure it is and all the reviews but I cant help that jojoba oil makes me break out. It's always little pimples that form on my cheeks when I use anything with jojoba oil in it. I hate to say it wont work for me

..but ITS GREAT for everything else. I use it to wash my furniture, clean floors, do laundry...

I love lavender and tea tree so far

i will rate 3 however because it can be used elsewhere and I intend to try it as a shampoo too.

Pros

  • pure, organic, fair trade
  • simple
  • cleans off everything, make up too!
  • natural and yet strong

Cons

  • tended to dry out skin
  • jojoba oil in it broke me out :(
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I bought a bar of this first and though it worked well, but I decided to use the liquid instead just cause it's easier. I'm glad I did. I use this on my body and face and have had ZERO acne flair ups. I have sensitive combination skin and this stuff is a MIRACLE. I have never reviewed anything before it's just that good haha.

I use it in the shower morning and night, and then after I get out, I moisturize my skin and that's IT! The stuff takes care of the rest. No 3 step regimen necessary that takes 45 mins to do cause you're waiting for the products to dry before moving to the next step (I'm talking to you Dan. No one has that much time to sit and wait for that BP to dry...then the moisturizer on top of it.)

If you're sick of your acne that has plagued any part of your body, BUY THIS STUFF, you won't be sorry.

I haven't been using it for that long and I already wish that I had found this stuff sooner.

Pros

  • I've only used the Peppermint scent but it smells great
  • It's invigorating in the morning and helps you wake up
  • It can be used on pretty much everything!
  • Lasts a LONG time since you don't need much to do the job.
  • Doesn't leave face dry after washing.
  • 100% vegan, 100% biodegradable, and no chemicals at all to aggravate skin.

Cons

  • NONE...If you wash your hair with it though, you might want to condition it after because it kind of strips the natural oils. Guys with short hair don't really need to worry about it though.
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 8
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I've tried Cetaphil, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, ProActiv, and for a while, I gave up on cleansers and soaps completely for my face. I scrubbed with a washcloth with only water and it made my skin more irritated and have scabs from the broken skin. Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Oil Liquid Soap is the ONLY thing I have ever used to not dry out my skin, make me dry and flaky, or leave residue. It leaves absolutely no residue. You only need a few drops. I use three to four drops of the stuff and it lathers amazingly. You don't need any more than that. Maybe that's why people are saying that it can be drying. I don't know, but it is awesome for me. It's not difficult to find (CVS, rite-aid, etc.) and you can use it for your body. I only use a drop for each body part. One for upper arm, one for forearm, and I change the amount proportionately from there.

Pros

  • not drying
  • economical
  • different scents to your preference
  • can be used for almost anything

Cons

  • none.
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 7.49
  • I recommend using this treatment.
