| Pros | I believe that it clears up acne beautifully and it also makes the general appearance of my skin look much better. |
|---|---|
| Cons | None that I have found yet. |
| Bottom line | I really like this product. I was taking Vitamin B6 for over 3 years and was getting worried about using B6 for so long as it can be toxic. I will allow my body to get the B6 out of my system, whilst using doxycycline. |

| Pros | Clears up skin really good. Takes a little bit to see a difference, but in the end it is worth it. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Nauseating at times. Usually when I take my morning pill. |
| Bottom line | I have suffered from acne for a year, and it was really depressing and upsetting. Couldn't even look at people in the eye. Anyway, the product is really great. I saw a difference within a few weeks. It's not 100% better, but I would say about 35% better. The cysts I had are now softer, and what seems to be healing. Really excited for what is to come. Don't give up. Don't let people bring you down. Keep your chin up and pray. Good luck to you all! |

| Pros | Easy to take With Doryx you can take both pills for the day at the same time. Cleared me up halfway |
|---|---|
| Cons | Hurts your stomach and you CANNOT go in the sun without getting sunburned. |
| Bottom line | Use it but be wary of its side effects...I probably am going on accutane if mino doesn't work and I tried it for 4 months |

| Pros | honestly, i wouldn't know. i was only on the meds for a month before i tossed em. |
|---|---|
| Cons | extremely abrasive chemical. i didn't take the pills with enough water and after two weeks of excruciating pain, found out they had burnt a hole in my esophageal lining. can interfere with birthcontrol effectiveness. |
| Bottom line | always take with a full glass of water & never right before bed. the drug can irritate stomach/esophageal lining-that's what causes the vomiting in some cases. in the three weeks that i was on the doxy i had yet to see any changes, and i suppose i'll never know what could have been because i am for sure steering clear of it from now on. that's not to say it's not worth a try, just make sure you know all the facts about how to take it and when etc. |

| Pros | easy to administer- just pop the pill |
|---|---|
| Cons | antibiotic resistance-could cause other complications with future illnesses- could cause gram-negative folliculitis. VERY abrasive on stomach- and could cause a burn in the esophagus. |
| Bottom line | I've been on minocycline and tetracycline for about 5 years, then took 3 years off...so the new derm has me on dox-for mild acne. I cant tell if its working, honestly, because my back hasn't cleared up and I still get breakouts during monthly hormonal changes. I am worried about gram-negative folliculitis, which is caused by the natural nasal flora reacting to long term antibiotics- causing disfiguring acne on the face. It is very rare, but still is a risk. after my wedding, I'm not taking antibiotics anymore for acne. I just want to be as clear as possible for that important day. |

| Pros | Started to work immediately! Clearing started within a couple days of starting the pills. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Tough on the tummy! Absolutely have to take with food or you will vomit |
| Bottom line | I've suffered with roseca/ cystic acne for 3 years, i've tried everything. As a last resort I went to my Dr insisting on Accutane, she convinced me to give this a shot first. I'm very pleased, it's been three weeks and no more bumps and swelling. However my skin is still flushed red in the healing process. Hopefully that will clear as well. |

| Pros | Really cheap, works well, easy to find |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dry skin, once you stop taking it your skin goes back to the way it was |
| Bottom line | I took it for about three months earlier this year and, besides having dry skin and lips (which is easily fixable), it worked really well to clear up the skin on my face and chest (though I still had a few pimples on my back.) When I moved, I had to go to a new pharmacist and it's been taking a while for them to get the prescription, so my skin has gone back to BAD. As long as you keep taking it daily with lots of water, your skin will clear up a lot :) |

| Pros | Really cheap, and easy to find. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It doesnt seem to work for me, I was perscribed this product a while ago, and it wasnt working at all, my doctor represcribed it, and now i am still using it. nothing has happened to my acne. |
| Bottom line | Always take pills with food, I threw up after i didnt eat. It did not feel good at all. I couldnt stand, I couldnt talk, i just felt the world spinning. It was bad. Product doesnt take a long time to take. Just eat, take pills. go to bed. simple |
