I am writing my second post, as the first one was written while I was still on the first week of meds and am now on month 2. Tetracycline is working really well, I have broken out a tiny bit, although it has reduced the severity of my breakouts tremendously! I have been very lucky and don't feel my stomach is sensitive to the meds. I take them on an empty stomach every morning and have had no problems. I hope they work for everyone the way they have for me!

This product did even out my skin tone and reduced some of my pimples. However, I had to eat only crackers before taking it or else I felt really ill. Also, my teeth were stained as a result of the pill. The doctor said that this would happen to kids under the age of eight, but I am 20. I found out that 3-6% of adults may experience tooth stains.

Was on tetracycline stuff for about 2 yrs and it was working amazing until i went to spain during the summer then they stopped working!! Went to doctor and he gave me doxy, been taking it for about 3 months and still nothings happening! Guess ill just give it time. Dont like having to take drugs 2 stop acne tho - dont know what to do: to keep taking them in the long term or risk coming off them and getting acne back? Affordability's fine i get them free on the NHS. Need to take them with food though or i get really bad stomach aches and indigestion.

I took Roaccutane for a year when I was 17. It worked for about two years and then slowly started coming back. I am now 23 and I still have slight Acne. So I went back to the Derm and I am now on Doxy and taking Differin. Its been 1 month and a bit and I see NO results - My skin still has pimples on it. I haven't had any of the side effects from the Doxy which is good. However I have noticed I havent caught the Flu in awhile! So thats a bonus as I have had the flu 4 or more times already this year!

I have been using this for just over a month and I am starting to see results finally. Like mentioned I also found that my skin got A LOT worse before it got better, but now it seems the ones that are coming through are tiny little pustules. I haven’t had one of the deep painful ones for a couple of weeks now and they were the ones that really bothered me because they were starting to scare quite badly.
I have been using this in partnership with Estelle 35, which I have been taking for four months now. I had used this before and had fantastic results but the pimples came back with a vengeance after I stopped using it.
I think the thing that has helped me to is the fact that my doctor told me NEVER squeeze the ones without a pussy top. It sound disgusting, I know but I have found that the ones that haven’t got a head generally are not ready and just get worse when played with. When they do have a head on them you do some facial surgery and just pop it with a clean pin and gently squeeze on each side with a tissue around your fingers to catch excess for doesn’t run and spread. Then mop up any excess, and leave along to scab. Do it at night so it has eight hours to heal and when you wash your face in the morning t will wash away the excess scab and leave you with a relatively flush surface.
You probably were aware of this trick, but it was a bit of a revelation for me!
Good luck everyone!

I've used generic doxycycline pills and vibramycin before. The more expensive vibramycin gave no stomach ache or heatburn or nothing at all. But the cheap doxycline pills had my stomach uncomfortable for hours.

A few months ago i restarted treatment with cheap doxycycline CAPSULES and never once did anyting happen.

It's been working slow with inflammation still ocurring but no new pimples are really forming.

My advice is, you should use the capsules if you can get them.

After two bouts of accutane, I used this product after the second go on accutane. it actually worked quite well. after a month my skin cleared up, though i still flarted up time and time again. whats important is that u find something that can keep you "in the loop". by that i mean you break out, then get clear. this product worked for me in that respect

i've been on doxy for over 2 years, this drug does cause some uncomfort in the asophogus, but overall it has worked great for me. as said, it does not ELIMINATE, but it DOES cut down alot of the pimples. i used to in conjunction with duac for a while with great results, latley i have only been using the pill.
