this stuff was very hard on my stomach (felt like an ulcer), and it made me incredibly woozy and nauseous when I would take it on an empty stomach. Oh, and it doesn't work even remotely.

I tried Doxy 2x a day and that didn't seem to help. My derm put me on retina, benzaclin, and some weird wash but it all seems to be doing GREAT! I am now on 100 mg 1 time a day and I think the combination is working wonders! I do like doxy and would reccomend it to anyone

I'm now in the middle of my 3rd week with doxy and my face was doing pretty well until now. It seems to have gotten a little bit worse...which really sucks because I was so excited to see improvement. I've heard from different people that their acne got worse before it finally cleared up. I hope this is the case and that I will see some kind of improvement by the end of this month. I'm just soooo sick of having acne! ugh!

Have been taking Doxy for about 2 months now along wiht benzaclin and tazorac. I've seen very good improvement: still have a few smaller pimples but no more than a couple at a time etc. mostly old red marks now.

I never had any side effects except for very mild occasional diarrhea which may or may not have been related to doxy. Taking 2x 100 mg a day: at 10 AM and around 10 PM after food usually (even on empty stomach never had stomachache.) Never had any sun sensitivity either despite spending a lot of time outdoors and in the mountains (I dont take my morning dose if I will be in direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time e.g. outdoor sports/skiing...)

I saw some improvement, but not enough to stick out the side effect of extreme nausea--I'm talking, can't eat anything, even the smell of food wants to make you gag. I tried it for about 3 months, but the nausea became more extreme around my period. I've switched to Mircette, which so far, is working pretty well.

Ive been using doxycyline 50 mg for about one month so far i see a bit of an improvment but , i get little red dots after i dont know if thats scarring or not i have no idea . But this medicine has spread out the pimples and are slowly going away. Maybe i'll try 75 mg but id recommend it to mild acne cases.

Took it for rosacea, worked very well but very hard on my stomache and when I started a second 30 day round of it I could not stand the symtoms and stooped taking it. I immediately became very ill with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Watch out if it irritates your stomach.

Ive been taking doxy 50mg/day along with diferin gel for the past month and can see a substantial improvement all over. Less pimples, Less swelling, Less blackheads. My face gets burnt easier and its more irritated (becomes redder than usual for a day after using diferin) but its MUCH better than it was.

I have used doxy for the past 5 months. Unfortunately it did absolutely nothing for me, in fact recently I have started to wonder if it hs actually gotten worse!!! I read somewhere that it can take 6 months to give true results, but after 5 with no results I have switched antibiotics. I was taking 100mg a day of the doxy. My sister who had mild acne used it and it worked great. My brother however used it for his more severe acne and he was also very disappointed. I am wondering if it works better for mild acne. Also, it was very hard on all of our stomachs. My brother occassionaly had to vomit after taking it, my sister got some kind of an ulcer from sleeping right after taking it, and I had had trouble with a constantly upset stomach. I didn't use any topical product, this may also be a key factor in regards to the acne results. I have done some research and am now taking minocycline as I have read it is the most effective and works when the other antibiotics haven't, in regards to acne. Apparently in addition to killing bacteria, it also has an anti-inflammatory effect which takes out the redness and swelling in acne. I am using this with tretinoin (retin A) and Avar (a prescription sulfur cleanser). So far so good!!! I really would like to avoid accutane if possible.
