Pros: It took almost 3 weeks, but I'm getting relief! Cons: It makes me feel like I"m going to throw up for about a half hour after I take it. Bottom Line: If you're like me, you're sick of acne and want it gone forever. I am 24 and have never had trouble with acne before now. This was frustrating. I had to stop working out because of an injury (I was training for a marathon), and my hormones got messed up, and viola! Hello, acne! I have been taking this with a sulfa topical prescription and Differin and I am beyond happy to tell you that my face is far less bumpy than I've been in a while. It got worse before it got better (I was actually in tears at one point), but I stuck with it and I'm so glad that I did. If you're suffering like I was, keep your head high. Sometimes it takes a while, but something WILL work... it just takes time. I was so hoping for quick results that I called my derm about 2.5 weeks into it wondering why I was still a mess. He told me to hang in there, and while it was tough, he was right. I understand what you may be going through and I feel for each and every one of you. Keep trying & don't lose hope! Pros: Working great!!! No new break outs since ive started the medication. Cons: Have to take it with food or else i get an upset stomach Bottom Line: Ive been on Doxy for 3 months now and very pleased with the results. Gives me an over all nice glow to my skin. Pros: No new pimples, no cyst and saw results w/in the first week. Cons: Made me nautious if I took it w/out food. Bottom Line: It works if your on this and take it accordingly. I'm very afraid that I'm going to have to take this forever. I'm looking for a resolution to where I won't have to take medication EVER or daily for for my acne. So far I've been on it for about two weeks and it works great. My birth control could also have something to do with my face not breaking out. I'll have to see. My derm said that we will try to see if my face still breaks out after I stop taking them and that's what I'm nervous about. I hope my body doesn't go immune to it. Good luck! Pros: Personally, I got no stomach aches. It is easy to take. Cons: It did not clear me up at all! Bottom Line: I took this for about almost 4 months and nothing has happened at all. Pros: It's cheap....that's it for now. I haven't experienced vomiting or sickness even on empty stomach like others have. Cons: I am only 5 weeks into this medication, and switched over from minocycline which lost effectiveness. I have since had 4 of the worst breakouts of my life. This was very discouraging. However this could easily be because of going off minocycline. Bottom Line: I have also had recurring dreams ie. sleep, dream, wake up - about 3-4 times on some nights. I hope this will stop soon. These initial breakouts are driving me crazy (I've been quite depressed, with needing to go to work in this condition). However I will give it a chance to get in the system for another 3-4 weeks and will post again. This 4th breakout is clearing slowly and I hope will be the last. Pros: Its cheap. I have caremark insurance only cost me 4.50 Cons: It made me vomit when taken on an empty stomach. Bottom Line: This is the same drug they give to people to keep them from getting malaria! This drug makes me terribly nausea. I cant say for sure if it would help me or not but it just makes me tooo sick to be able to find out. Perhaps i may give it one more shot with food, however the instructions say to take on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating or take 2-3 hours after eating and that you cant lay down after taking it! Pros: Not sure Cons: Not sure Bottom Line: I am 13 and i got 2 acne on my cheeks and some small ones at my forehead and a few bumps on my cheeks too. I went to the doctor today and she prescribed doxycycline for me and said it works best for teens with moderate acne. Today i took my first pill and expierienced nothing at all. No stomaches and whatsoever. Hoped that helped my acne. Meanwhile for acne sufferers out there, its good to eat at least a fruit everyday and more veggies instead of meat. Drink PLENTY of water as that helps for me! My pimples aon my forehead are not as sore as before (: Just have to work on that cheeks part.... ): Recommended: Yes Usage: Shuyi has used this item for a day or two. Pros: Been using for almost two weeks. Minor results. Less painful acne. Still have 2 weeks before I see real results Cons: Minor stomach pains witin the first week. And a constant feeling of having to use the bathroom. My body got used to the Ned in one week. Bottom Line: I am a medical assistant at a dermatologist office most topical prescriptions do not wrk on patients. Same in my case. Some ppl need to be treated from the inside out. Pros: I took this for a reason other than acne but was happily surprised when my skin cleared up after being on it a couple of weeks! I have had acne on my back for over 20 years and this is the first time EVER it has cleared. I will continue to take it. Cons: If I take on an empty stomach, then I am throwing up within 15 minutes! Pros: It didn't do anything for me, literally. Cons: At first my stomach would hurt right after I took it. I don't feel that anymore.
