| Pros: | I have been on this for 6 months, and I'd say this has improved my complextion by 95%!!! I have noticed a HUGE difference in the number and size of my zits. I no longer worry about a huge breakout before "my time of the month"!! |
| Cons: | A little worried about the long term affects of this pill. Not sure that its safe to be on an antibiotic for a long period of time. Soon I hope to start a family, and my doctor informed me this shouldn't be taken while pregnant. |
| Bottom Line: | I would very much recommend this to anyone. I was also prescribed Differin to use at the same time and it has worked GREAT. I only have one more month left on my prescription and will talk to my dermatologist about my other options as I would like to have children soon. I'm not one who likes to take pills everyday, so hopefully they can give me a topical gel that will have the same affect. Fingers crossed!!! |

| Pros: | Cleared up my acne very well. I'm also using Duac. My supply of pills has been gone for about a week and (see cons) |
| Cons: | my acne is back after stopping taking the pill, full force. I have seven at one time right now, which is more than I've gotten the whole time I was on it. Must continue use for results. Sometimes makes me feel sick, threw up once. |
| Bottom Line: | I didnt know which medication was making my skin clear up, Duac or Doxy, but I see that now I've stopped taking Doxy, my acne is back. I think the combination of them together really helps. I've noticed that while on Doxy and Duac, my breakouts were smaller, lasted for much less time, and were less frequent. I'm going to go back on the pill. Honestly, I will take them for the rest of my life if I have to to clear my acne, but I dont know if thats safe. I dont see how they expect you to keep seeing results after stopping with it, that just doesnt make sense to me.

| Pros: | Clears acne within a week and a half |
| Cons: | Make my stomach slightly upset with food. Makes me vomits uncontrollably without food. |
| Bottom Line: | Please Please take this with something i stopped taking it for a while and I decided to start taking it again and this time with out (dumb) food and within 15 min I was vomiting all over the place! |

| Pros: | IT WORKS, made me skin really nice when everything else made me look red, inflammed, and gross |
| Cons: | i took it on an empty stomach, then ate dinner and thre it all up. i had to take it with food or else i got really sick |
| Bottom Line: | I don't have to wear foundation anymore because of Doxy. I hate that I have to rely on a pill to make my skin nice, but it's really worth it because I no longer leave my house feeilng insecure or embarassed about my skin. The generic is relatively inexpensive, too. |

| Pros: | It took almost 3 weeks, but I'm getting relief! |
| Cons: | It makes me feel like I"m going to throw up for about a half hour after I take it. |
| Bottom Line: | If you're like me, you're sick of acne and want it gone forever. I am 24 and have never had trouble with acne before now. This was frustrating. I had to stop working out because of an injury (I was training for a marathon), and my hormones got messed up, and viola! Hello, acne! I have been taking this with a sulfa topical prescription and Differin and I am beyond happy to tell you that my face is far less bumpy than I've been in a while. It got worse before it got better (I was actually in tears at one point), but I stuck with it and I'm so glad that I did. If you're suffering like I was, keep your head high. Sometimes it takes a while, but something WILL work... it just takes time. I was so hoping for quick results that I called my derm about 2.5 weeks into it wondering why I was still a mess. He told me to hang in there, and while it was tough, he was right. I understand what you may be going through and I feel for each and every one of you. Keep trying & don't lose hope! |

| Bottom Line: | It works if your on this and take it accordingly. I'm very afraid that I'm going to have to take this forever. I'm looking for a resolution to where I won't have to take medication EVER or daily for for my acne.
So far I've been on it for about two weeks and it works great. My birth control could also have something to do with my face not breaking out. I'll have to see. My derm said that we will try to see if my face still breaks out after I stop taking them and that's what I'm nervous about. I hope my body doesn't go immune to it. Good luck! |

| Pros: | It's cheap....that's it for now. I haven't experienced vomiting or sickness even on empty stomach like others have. |
| Cons: | I am only 5 weeks into this medication, and switched over from minocycline which lost effectiveness. I have since had 4 of the worst breakouts of my life. This was very discouraging. However this could easily be because of going off minocycline. |
| Bottom Line: | I have also had recurring dreams ie. sleep, dream, wake up - about 3-4 times on some nights. I hope this will stop soon. These initial breakouts are driving me crazy (I've been quite depressed, with needing to go to work in this condition). However I will give it a chance to get in the system for another 3-4 weeks and will post again. This 4th breakout is clearing slowly and I hope will be the last. |

This drug makes me terribly nausea. I cant say for sure if it would help me or not but it just makes me tooo sick to be able to find out. Perhaps i may give it one more shot with food, however the instructions say to take on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating or take 2-3 hours after eating and that you cant lay down after taking it! I dont know but that sounds like a bit much to me! |
