Pros: clear beautiful almost porcelin skin, cheap as chips Cons: acne comes back a couple of months after being of doryx Bottom Line: i was on doryx for about a year and a half and i was so so happy with the results, i had terrible acne and this sure did fix it. i had smooth skin and suffered no side effects. then i went off doryx and it all came back ten times worse and my doctor prescribed me the oral contraceptive and acne treatment, dian 35. now this just made me six kilos heavier, depressed and made my acne worse. so now i have been back on doryx for almost a week and i can already see a significant improvement in my skin. i would definately recomend this if you have severe acne like me Recommended: Yes Price Paid: 9.50 Was this comment helpful? Pros: It seemed to work in the first couple weeks. Clearing up my forehead and that's about it. Cons: If you eat you have to wait an hour after eating, then take the pill.Made parts of my face extremely dry and red. Bottom Line: The only good thing about this product was not having to take it. Pros: seems to have cleared my skin Cons: Horribly expensive makes stomach sick Bottom Line: I was given Rx for Doryx, filled at pharmacy and was told it was $ 250.00. ( My insurance covered $100.00) so I had to pay difference. I can't imagine that this is better than normal doxycycline. Why not put me on something else? I do see results though. Pros: Clears up your acne when u first start taking it for a couple of weeks. Easy to take. Cons: Doesn't completely clear up acne and acne comes back after a few months. When going off it acne becomes worse. Skin becomes extremely sensitive to the sun and looks unhealthy. Bottom Line: Good for a couple of weeks but not worth taking in the long run. Pros: It definitely works, eventually. It's a medication you have to be very patient with. Reduced redness, less whiteheads, breakouts from monthly complications aren't as bad, more controlled. Cons: It doesn't work if you drink milk one hour before or after. Watch what you're eating for calcium and iron before you take it. I've gotten noticeably tanner, but I've accepted that this is also due to my genes. Using sunblock is a must!! Bottom Line: I was prescribed this in January of '07, and I'm terrible at routine so I did not take it regularly. I finally kicked it into gear about a month ago along with fish oil and topical vitamin E. I've been taking it regularly at 12:30 P.M. and 5:30 P.M. every day. Twice a day, 100 mg. Ever since most of the strange swollen whiteheads on my cheeks have disappeared, only a couple left to go. Definite disappearance in redness, I now have an almost even complexion. All I had to do was follow routine and drink lots of water with it! It's all worth it. I don't think I'd recommend it for anyone that has BEYOND mild acne, it might not be as effective. Pros: It temporarily keeps acne from reappearing. Cons: I don't like the taste of the tablet. It melts real fast in your mouth if you leave it in there too long without water. Bottom Line: I woud use this, if your patient. It works eventually, I did see some difference from when i started a few months ago. Recommended: Yes Usage: Trevor has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: none Cons: made me throw up if i didnt eat with it. after 3weeks the side effects set in currently i stopped taking it in hopes these side effects go away for the past two days i've felt absolutely exhausted and have started to black out and throw up Bottom Line: horrible product didnt work at all is making me very sick and its quite scary i went to go to the bathroom and i began to black out couldnt see anything and began stumbling. i couldnt get out of bed for two days i was so exhausted. I have yet to get better. funny thing is they use the same anti-biotic to treat anthrax exposure and pneumonia so it is a very strong anti-biotic. Pros: im lookin hella sexy again! only took a week. Cons: skin peels hella for bout 3 days so u cant leave da crib Bottom Line: it works hella fast, within a week i found i had no more acne on my face. use it on a friday n stay in all weekend, get a good moisterizer, i use chepitphil or some thin, n a good oil free lotion, and in about a week u will have your sexy back!! Pros: It doesn't make me as sick as Minocycline did. Cons: I have never broke out as bad as I have in the past 11 days that I have been using this product. It has given me acne that I never had before! I have had mild/severe acne for over a year now and this medicine has made it so bad I do not want to go ou Bottom Line: I would not get my hopes up if you are looking for a cure for mild/severe acne. Pros: none so far Cons: i didnt have breakfast and ended up throwing up makes you very sick if you dont eat Bottom Line: i have been using this product twice a day 100mg in the morning and night along with trention i have moderate acne but this like everything else has yet to work for me i will continue taking it dropping the trention an replacing with clearsil acne pads to see if that works Recommended: No Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few weeks.
