| Bottom line | pretty good but it must be taken regularly and after eating. i took it with topical benzoyl peroxide-clindamycin for 2 weeks and my acne really started to clear in 10 days. |

| Bottom line | I was actually acne free for the past two years consistently. Suddenly though I ended up getting a staph infection on my left cheek. It looked like a nickle-sized hickey, but infected and gross looking. I am a 23/m, so not sure if my hormones level started to taper off causing me to be acne free; which is a lot of times the reason for acne. The doctor prescribed me Doxy-100mg for 10 days, 2 times a day, for the staph infection. This all happened about, mid-May-2011. 2 months later... Major cysts. Before I had maybe 1 or 2 small cysts every other month or so.... but now... cysts are like the new breakout pimple. Never had puss filled pimples in a long time, probably back in highschool when I was 17...18.. now though, it's back. Really bad puss filled pimples then turns into cysts. sucks. Not sure what to do. I have a pretty clean diet, drinks a lot of water for hydration and normal detox. so... not sure, don't take doxy. Yeah you get the results WHILE you're taking it... but After?! You'll hate your face. Not joking. |

| Bottom line | I take one 100mg once daily (a half hour after dinner). Although it is recommended to be taken 2hrs after you eat, my dermatologist said a half hour is ok for me (and I never get nauseous this way). I've been taking it for over a year, and I have close-to clear skin. At one time I might have 1-3 active pimples, but most of the time they are hormone related or caused from my hair products around the sides of my face. I would say my skin in pretty clear. I was taking it twice a day, but I was uncomfortable with the amount of antibiotics this meant, and I saw that one was just enough to control my acne. After about a year, I wouldn't say it has decreased in effectiveness. It seems to do its job if I regularily take it. |

| Bottom line | I had tried so many diffrent things. tetracycline, bp, retin a, and some other topicals, proativ, even took diffrent vitimans and nothing ever worked or even helped. I was proscribed this about 1 1/2 months ago. started with about 30+ pimples, some cysts that hurt like a bitch. now i have about 5 pimples none cystic, none hurt at all. just have alot of scaring :P i would really recomend this!!! |

| Cons | -Only works for so long -MUST TAKE WITH FOOD + WATER TO AVOID NAUSESA. If you take on empty stomach you will feel like your going to puke. |
