Pros: No oily skin, acne reduced Cons: Weight gain, moody, depressed, heavy period and cramps on the first and second day. Bottom Line: I still have some acne but it has reduced since I started using it 3 months ago. Of course I still use many acne products along with Diane. I think for most girls that increase in breast size has to do with weight gain and that is the case with me. I get pretty bad breakouts during my period and it seems that it became worse while on Diane because I never used to breakout a lot before my period. Barely helps with any period problems. Pros: Clear skin and great birth control. Cons: gained some weight but who doesnt after their 20's. Bottom Line: My doctor in Brazil put me on it 5 years ago it cleared my skin. I had tried everything out there nothing ever worked except weekly facials but got to costly when i stopped the acne came back. Diane 35 has been the best thing that has ever happened to my skin I was battling acne since I was 12 I am in my late 20's now and have great skin. Pros: this product has really cleared up my skin.. which is why i used it in the first place... i was on valette but that stopped working after a year and a half so i was put on to diane. Pros: well, it's birth control. Cons: weight gain (15-20 pounds). some pretty bad depression. major mood swings during the first few months. Bottom Line: skin took forever to clear, and is still not completely clear. still have period pains. Recommended: No Usage: liz has used this item for about a year. Pros: i am on my 3rd box of Diane-35 and i have only seen a reduction in oilyness of my skin. Cons: reduced sex drive, depressed, nausea constant hunger and weight gain dryness, moody Bottom Line: I am on my third month of using Diane-35, and the only pro i experienced is a reduction in oilyness, the cons are numerous. I am taking Diane-35 for polycistic ovaries which is quite common in young women today ( as a little note stay away from chicken I believe the Hoemenes in the feed are causing these effects). Anyways I have really lost hope in my severe acne, hair loss and hairyness in body (and all the other symptoms of PCOS) so i am really hoping that this product works. Pros: Skin completley clears up after 2 cycles. The only thing that has ever worked for me in over 15 years. Cons: Total lack of sex drive!! I have not gained any wait or had an increase in my appetite, but the lack of sex drive is frusterating. Bottom Line: It is totally worth taking because it will clear your skin, especially if you have the kind of acne that causes cysts beneath the skin. Topical products will do nothing. The down side is, when i went off Diane-35, my acne returned within 2 months. Recommended: Yes Usage: Amanda has used this item for about a year. Pros: clearer skin especially for those with severe acne, bigger breasts, happier moods, mood control Cons: bloated, alot more gassy.....lame, i think this does make me a bit hungrier....but im not sure, i used to always eat everything anyway. Bottom Line: i used to have clear skin and then when i was 16 it just went haywire and i tried everything to try to clear it from products to minomycin to scar products to diets. Nothing worked and my acne continued to get worse, i had lots of redness all over my face and scars. The pimples also hurt a lot! I would wear lots of civerage everyday to try to hide my acne. one day my sister changed her pill to diane and decided it was not for her, so she offered me her unused 2 months. I am now on my second month and althought my skin is not clear it is much better. I no longer get the really painful pimples, my redness has decreased a lot as well as the red dots. It does get a lot worse before it gets better but i have some fairly large pimples at the moment, but im not too worried for with diane im sure these will not return. My breasts are also larger but often sore. Oh well worth the trade off! Pros: Clearer skin, increase in breast size, regulated periods, birth control Cons: Depression, mood swings, loss of sex drive, cellulite, extreme weight gain Bottom Line: I'm 19 years old and I've been on Diane 35 for about a year now. I have to say that it really helped clear up my skin. I still get the occasional mild break out, but it isn't nearly as severe as before. You need to be patient though, because it took around 6 months for me to start noticing the changes in my skin. The first few months I used it, I would cry and get depressed for no reason and I couldn't figure out why. Also, I have gained about 15 lbs. since I have started using Diane. I have never had cellulite before, but now I'm starting to notice it on my butt and thighs. My advice would be to weight the pros and cons before you take Diane. I am personally going to get off of it, because the weight gain makes me really feel uncomfortable. Recommended: Yes Usage: Kay has used this item for about a year. Pros: Clearer skin and birth control Cons: I am a hormonal psychotic mess... Weight gain, bloating, cysts instead of acne Bottom Line: Only take this pill if you can handle being a crazy lady! 2 months in my skin looked fabulous.... then.... I started getting cysts in place of pimples and my mood is all over the place! I've turned into a horrible, short tempered, crying person... I'm only on this pill to reduce the side effects of a cervical ectroption and as soon as they cut the bastard out I'm getting off Diane-35... Pros: My mother is a dermatologist and has been treating my acne since I was 11. However, it was my gyno who "cured" my acne when he suggested this. It cleared up my skin considerably and I am NEVER oily! Also, I have lighter periods and bigger breasts:D Cons: There are lots of risks with Diane and I have had some mysterious medical problems that may be connected to it. However this is just speculation. Also, when I tried to go off them my skin went crazy and I had to start again. Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone with bad acne! I have tried for so many years all sorts of treatments, including diets, extractions, masks, products and nothing has worked. The reason was I had no idea I had a hormonal problem due to polycystic ovaries (A condition which is rare in young thin girls and usually goes by unnoticed). Bottom line was that my acne was caused by a hormonal inbalance and Diane is the only thing that has helped me. It has not cleared my skin completly but I have gone from having moederatly severe acne to having light acne (occasionaly worse with period break outs) This product is great! It also left my skin and hair oil free and my breasts went up a full cup in size! In the long term I dont want to use Diane because of the risks and side effects, However a 1-2 year treatment is ideal to help the skin reach its normal balance (less treatment time will not give lasting results) Recommended: Yes Price Paid: 50.00 Acne severity: moderately severe Was this comment helpful?
