Pros: Clear skin Cons: severe weight gain, back pain, headaches, cellulite, stretch marks on thighs, immense increase in appetite, yeast infection, depression, anxiety, gas, bloating Bottom Line: I never thought I'd write an online review. But after reading all these others I think i'd like to share my experience. I have been on diane for 7 months and re side effects are getting seriously intolerable. I have gained 9kgs, used to be so tiny and now I have cellulite on my thighs!!! None of my clothes fit me anymore and as soon as I eat something in the morning my stomach bloats and stays that way all day, it's so uncomfortable! It cleared my skin but these side effects definitly outweigh clearer skin. Everyday has become a battle! It's too strong a pill, too unnatural for your body. Pros: It is amazing for your skin, but it took 3-4 months for the effects to fully sink in. Cons: Bigger breasts (went from B to D), bigger hips, weight gain, bloating Bottom Line: I am about to go off Diane for the first time in 3 years. I love what it has done to my skin- it is now absolutely flawless after originally having a few pimples. I am changing from Diane to the Nuvaring because I am sick of the effects it has had on my weight. My breasts have grown a massive amount and my hips have become larger. I am wanting to have a break from all of these hormones and see whether my weight gain is associated with Diane. If my skin suffers though I will probably go back on it. Pros: Bigger boobs and butt, better skin, lesser cramps during period, good birth control. Cons: Alot of cellulite on butt and legs, weight gain, occasional mood swings, also alot more gassy. Bottom Line: I've been on Diane 35 for about 2 years now. I first noticed the weight gain but nothing of other symptoms like moodiness or cellulite. I began to notice these cons during the second year of my taking the pill so I discontinued for a few months to see if I could tell the difference. I lost all the weight I had gained over the past year in about 2 months, my skin remained the same and I was a little more in control of my emotions but not enough that really affected me. After a few months a took the pill again as it was simply the easiest form of birth control available and I wanted to gain weight anyway, but after a couple months I noticed the cellulite. I'm 21 years old, about 100 lbs and I live a relatively healthy lifestyle, I've never had experience with cellulite before so I was very surprised to see it on myself and immediately began checking the internet to see if this could be a side effect of the pill. Pros: Clear skin and larger breasts Cons: Total loss of sex drive, cellulite on bum and tops of legs, mood swings, weight gain Bottom Line: I was put on Diane 35 5 months ago as I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I haven't noticed any change in my periods, they're still same as before, however I have noticed a change in my moods. I get really bad anxiety, tight and panic like feelings in my chest and I keep bursting out in tears for no apparent reason. My skin wasn't really bad before but it is perfectly clear now, however I have now noticed celulite on my bum and thigs, I'm sure it's getting worse (but I have read that this can be a result of the PCOS). My breast have got larger but they are constantly tender which is not so great and I have lost my sex drive which is causing problems in my relationship so for that reason I'm considering changing this pill. Pros: nothing, i've been on this pill for almost 3 months and no changes in pimples Cons: none Bottom Line: i am unsure if it is going to work. i have facial, chest and back acne and so far no improvements! :( if anyone has experienced the same things please post a comment! Pros: No oily skin, acne reduced Cons: Weight gain, moody, depressed, heavy period and cramps on the first and second day. Bottom Line: I still have some acne but it has reduced since I started using it 3 months ago. Of course I still use many acne products along with Diane. I think for most girls that increase in breast size has to do with weight gain and that is the case with me. I get pretty bad breakouts during my period and it seems that it became worse while on Diane because I never used to breakout a lot before my period. Barely helps with any period problems. Pros: Clear skin and great birth control. Cons: gained some weight but who doesnt after their 20's. Bottom Line: My doctor in Brazil put me on it 5 years ago it cleared my skin. I had tried everything out there nothing ever worked except weekly facials but got to costly when i stopped the acne came back. Diane 35 has been the best thing that has ever happened to my skin I was battling acne since I was 12 I am in my late 20's now and have great skin. Pros: this product has really cleared up my skin.. which is why i used it in the first place... i was on valette but that stopped working after a year and a half so i was put on to diane. Pros: well, it's birth control. Cons: weight gain (15-20 pounds). some pretty bad depression. major mood swings during the first few months. Pros: i am on my 3rd box of Diane-35 and i have only seen a reduction in oilyness of my skin. Cons: reduced sex drive, depressed, nausea constant hunger and weight gain dryness, moody Bottom Line: I am on my third month of using Diane-35, and the only pro i experienced is a reduction in oilyness, the cons are numerous. I am taking Diane-35 for polycistic ovaries which is quite common in young women today ( as a little note stay away from chicken I believe the Hoemenes in the feed are causing these effects). Anyways I have really lost hope in my severe acne, hair loss and hairyness in body (and all the other symptoms of PCOS) so i am really hoping that this product works.
