I have been on Diane 35 for only 3 months and my body started reacting straight away. Water retention was the biggest problem however, ive had constant problems with fake PMS, spotting, mood swings and sore breasts. Of course my gyno told me this is all normal but what is "normal". Some people can survive on it and some can't. My skin also keeps clearing up then getting bad again...constant yo-yo effect.

i have been on diane for 7 months. my face looks better though but not entirely. i still get zits but only now and then. i have picked up weight but mainly in my breasts. i went from a size b to d! now i look like a toothpick with huge breasts. otherwise it worked out fine for my face.

I was on Diane 35 for 7 years, and while it cleared up my acne, I felt HORRIBLE all the time; though it took a few years for many of the side effects to manifest. What I experienced: anxiety, painful muscle spasms in my legs and chest, chronic shortness of breath (for which asthma inhalers were useless), terrible chest pain, loss of sex drive (people should know that cypterone [sp?], the anti-androgen in Diane 35 is often used to deaden the libidos of repeat sex offenders and pedophiles), weight gain (even though I had a loss of appetite), feeling of heaviness in my legs, tingling in my hands and feet, nausea, fatigue, hair loss -- I could go on and on with the side effects. My doctor never once suggested all these problems could be attributed to Diane 35, even though a comprehesive list of side effects can be easily found on the internet (many of which they claim are rare; I beg to differ with this claim); she more or less implied my problems were psychological. After I stopped taking it, all the side effects resolved, though my once thick head of hair is half of what it used to be. I have to agree with Christine from Winnipeg, MB: DIANE 35 IS THE DEVIL.

There should be someone out there warning us to stay away from this BC pill! I have never been on one that caused me so much depression, pain in my legs, constant feeling of PMS, over all exhaustion and lack of wanting to do anything! It did NOTHING to clear up my skin, and actually made it worse. My doctor kept saying it would start to work...well after 3 years...I went off it. Within a week
my mood changed, I had energy, I didn't feel like I was going to cry at any given moment. My skin improved!!! My whole life improved when I went off it! What a waste I stayed on this pill for so long. This BC pill is the devil!

Ok, it works against the acne, but the depression I got from it is not wort it.

I was put on diane 35 a year ago as a treatment for endometriosis. I didn't notice any drastic changes. You do gain some weight. Although it does help your skin after a couple of months, I have noticed a huge loss in sex drive. There was a pretty bad rap concerning blood clots a couple of years ago..but my doctor assures me it has been fixed.

I have been using this product for over 10 years now and it's amazing! It's the only product that works for me. I have been ordering it from Canada since it's easier and cheaper to get. I quit a couple of times for no particular reason, but my acne came right back with vengeance. The first couple of weeks your skin will be EXTREMELY dry and you will have to get the best moisturizers you can find! After that it will only get better. It takes me about 6 months to be completely clear. If you have bad acne (and you're a girl! It's birth control as well) this is definitely what I'd recommend. You do gain some weight from taking it, but I believe that's with every birth control pill. I made the choice to rather work out in the gym a little harder and be acne free. My problem right now is that I'd like to have a baby, but I don't want to get my acne back!!!!!! What to do, what to do?
